Oil change done, not from the area. Had to drive back to dealer with a so called defective oil filter while another shop told us the filter was cracked due to it be tighten so tight. My 2023 could have had worse damage because of who were the professionals are here that didn't do the job correctly. I take it back to dealer after heading back home (out of town) and were out an hour away. Couldnt even get offered towing services for my vehicle so I wouldnt drive it this way due to their issue, defection or cracked oil filter or not. My car would have been the one affected and us to blame regardless. Must I add when I got to dealer, service advisor got someone to work on the vehicle almost immediately and when we get the vehicle back the second time, still leaking oil, pointed it out to the advisor and he called them back a 3rd time to take the vehicle and apparently it was just the oil plate that had oil leaking from it, so I asked to clean it because it was a new vehicle for me to driving this way, so he took it and it was finally done correctly and we finally made it home after losing 4 hours of drive time back homeService: Oil change

Purchased a new work truck here. I was surprised at how well the whole buying experience went. I had no intention of buying a new truck there initially, but the salesman was more help than anyone I had dealt with in the past two months of shopping. The entire experience was positive.

JC and Hall at Gene Messier Ford in Amarillo saved my vacation. I lost my transmission in my Bronco towing it. They were able to get a new one and have it installed in 5 days. Saving my vacation. I can t thank the two of them enough!!! We live in Austin so I was so surprised to have someone treat me as if I was family. Gary Landy is my go to service writer. He hooks me up with the technicians who know my vehicles and the technicians get my repairs done in a timely manner. My 2010 Ford Explorer with a 4.6 V-8 with 145,000 miles on it is still going strong. The front A-arms, all the brakes and rotors were all justifiably due for replacement. These were all done in a timely manner in and out in 5 days with time waiting for the new A-arms. Tires balanced and rotated, shimmy, unbalanced tires and brakes all fixed. 40 years of customer service at Gene Messer Ford, I am a very happy repeat customer.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair

Recently relocated to Amarillo area. First time customer. Took my F-150 in for an oil change. I was not treated as a valued customer. Not greeted. Not informed about complimentary drinks. May sound petty but customer service is very important. And as a first time customer I can not say I was impressed. Nice facility but the service reps could step up their game on customer service.

Service manager JC had me come to the dealership without an appointment and had a technician check my vehicle right away. They took my truck right back and fix the problem. Within two hours I was back on the road. Everything was fixed correctly and explain properly. Gene Messer Ford is an outstanding dealer and we are lucky to have them in Amarillo. They had a full plate in service last week when I called for a failed battery but told me they would make sure to test my battery and replace if needed. Would give it zero stars if I could. Service experience has been a nightmare. Took our 2021 Expedition Max in for a Ford recall. The dealership got the recall completed, but now we are getting front and rear sensor alerts that make the front and rear sensors inoperable. We ve taken it in twice to get it fixed and are still having issues. This is actually the second time we ve had issues with this service department and had to take that vehicle in multiple times too before finally trading that vehicle in.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Got a truck from them. Meant to buy a different one (my own fault, I ve owned it). First service comes up so I schedule an appointment for an oil change. Wasn t informed on their process, was told it would take a while when I finally went in instead of waiting in line, wasn t called back when it was ready.

JC was the most amazing helpful service provider I ve ever had. He was so well prepared for all possibilities facing me on the road. JC solved my problems before I even knew I had them and they weren t even related to the Ford dealership! I could not have asked for a better dealership or experience! My Salesman, Damien was great! He was very friendly and not pushy like many car salesman. We did not feel overly pressured to make a purchase. After going around to other dealerships, we had to come back to Gene Messer. +the hot chocolate is really good!

I had a recall affecting the transmission, but they cancelled my original appointment and then would not make me another appointment over several weeks. I had requested a ride home, and they didn't tell me for several weeks, but they wouldn't provide me an appointment because they wouldn't provide me a ride because my car is a Ford, not a Lincoln!Service: Transmission repair
