5 stars is not enough!!!!!! Tyson and Daniel went way above and beyond for me on this one. I went to them with my 97 f350 for the lifter pump going out. The new pumps and I mean pumps were faulty from factory, NOT DTP fault at all. They replaced the pump as always very fast and reasonably priced with the repair. The new pump went out so they replaced it under warranty no problem. Where they started to shine was when I was dragging my travel trailer out of town. I'll be darned if the pump went out again. I called them and they went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND!!!!! first off they apologized 2nd off they had a tech bring a loaner truck out to me (luckily they had a truck that could haul my trailer) they took my truck back and fixed it yet again. This time going a little further into it. Fixed it again they found that the pumps they were getting were faulty and replaced with different brand. This is the customer service that is very rare to come by. I have nothing but praise for these guys and they have made me a life long loyal customer.

Passing through on a thousand mile trip my Cummins began acting very strange to say the least. A different shop said a $5500 repair was needed. Tyson informed me that he located some exposed wires and took care of it. We continued the journey without an issue. These guys are an honest, reliable, old school type shop that finds the problem and fixes it without any hassle. Thank you

I run a business here in Amarillo, and we have a fleet of diesel trucks of different makes, motors etc. everything from CAT motors, to Internationals, to 3/4 ton fords. I have used just about every diesel mechanic in town, and have been screwed in more ways than I can count. Finding DTP has been a godsend!! These guys are extremely knowledgeable, affordable, and fast!!! I learned more about my truck in a two minute sit down with them, than I have in years collectively with other mechanics. They shot me straight, explained in detail everything that needed repaired and why, as well as other repairs that might arise with cause and effect. They also walk through and show me in person, parts that were repaired, removed, etc, and offered all of my old parts back to me. The first time I used them, they got my truck in for a major repair the next morning, and worked late to have the job completed by that evening. The price for the job ended up being over $5,000 less than the lowest quote I received from other mechanics in town, and my truck runs and drives as promised. To the "T". They will have my business for life! Needless to say, they have my respect, and my recommendation to anyone in need of diesel, or automotive repairs.

This team is absolutely fantastic. We found them to be very knowledgeable about our diesel engine and since we were traveling in our motorhome they did their best to figure out the problems and get us on our way. They were so accommodating and let us stay in our motorhome while they made the necessary repairs and got us back on the road. We found them to be very reasonable and honest and highly recommend this talented and conscientious team. We are so grateful for the great work they did and for their hospitality while we were there.

These guys are amazing! We are traveling from Tampa, FL on a big move to Utah. We had a minor problem that we needed attention for, and they got us right in and taken care of and back on the road quickly!! Very friendly, knowledgeable and excellent to work with! HIGHLY recommend!!!

This is the only shop that I completely trust without question. Great people, great customer service and great quality work. They won't let it leave the shop until totally satisfied that whatever problems are fixed and if in the rare chance that something arises after it leaves, they make it right. No hidden costs or "gotcha" pricing.....everything is stated upfront. I was referred to DTP by a coworker and have since referred several people myself. Also, they offer a 15% military/veteran discount on labor, which speaks volumes in and of itself. Nothing but praise to say of this place and the people. Very highly recommend and if you have a Powerstroke, this is the only place it should go.

By far the best diesel shop I've been to! These guys know their engines! Had my 6.0 Ford Excursion in four different shops and no one correctly diagnosed the problem until I went here. Unlike many people believe here in Amarillo, there is more then one diesel shop and in my opinion this one is the best! These guys seem to really care about their work. Very professional and very reasonable prices. Just thankful to have found a shop that I can trust to do good and honest work!

Best experience ever! we were traveling through and my truck was making a strange noise. I thought it was my turbo, so he could have easily charged me for a new turbo but instead he spent an hour diagnosing the real problem and determined it was ok to drive and sent me on my way. extremely courteous to my family and very honest people. I would take future work to him if I lived in the area.

The guys at DTP are awesome. I brought my truck in with coolant pouring out on a Friday evening. They found the parts, had them delivered and installed for me that same Friday so I wouldn't be stranded. This is the third vehicle I've brought to them and they always offer great service at a fair price. Side note - none of my vehicles have been diesels so dont let the nake fool you.

The customer service was top notch. We were traveling from out of town and had an emergency with our Duramax while towing a 5th wheel camper. It was Friday afternoon and we were in a bind. Our fan clutch went out. Not only did they fit us in last minute on a Friday but they offered to give us a ride while we waited. They had clean facilities and allowed us to drop our camper in the lot so they could get us in the bay. They expedited the whole process getting us done by 530. From the office staff to the techs, their entire team was 5 star. Thanks so much guys. You made our vacation possible by getting us back on the road. We will definitely send our people your way when they are in the area!

I had just came to town and my truck just died. When I called and talked to the friendly folks at DTP they were very helpful in recommending a wrecker service and found the problem with my truck and had it fixed the same day. I was very pleased with their pricing and honesty. Would recommend to any who need diesel work done.

I am not sure how this place has so many great reviews. The positive reviews were the reason I came here and it has ended up costing me thousands.They said the only issue was injectors. I paid to replace the injectors and then they came back and said compression issues. They weren't sure what was causing it but it was going to cost $6,500 to $10k.Needless to say I took it to another mechanic who was able to tell me the exact cause and exact cost to fix the issues.

Broke down in a snow storm in Amarillo on my way to a national championship bass tournament in Kentucky. Called several companies while on the side of the rod. Got a good feeling from what they told me and after looking at reviews here. I can t say enough about the honesty and integrity of this business. It is apparent the culture here is learned from the top with the owners.They got me back on the road the next morning. They could have sold me anything and said that is what was wrong but they didn t. They took the time to explain my situation and got me on the road quickly and affordably.In a time and age when every business is trying to sell you a bunch of stuff you don t need, it sure is refreshing to do business with an honest company that helps you with just what you need.Dustin Robinson.

DTP Automotive & Diesel in Amarillo are very fair and all around honest and good guys. The two owners are both highly educated from UTI in Houston and also from FORD. I did business with both owners when they were at Ford and were both the go to guys for the dealership.They work major problems, service and add performance to all makes and models. Go by there and meet these guys sometime and you will understand how many people trust them by the massive number of vehicles there to be worked on! They are honest in the fact they did not like taking advantage of people that the dealerships forced on them and one of the reasons they have started their own business. Go seem them for all things automotive & performance! Especially Diesels!!! They rebuild engines and even offer warranties....something you do not see nowadays.

Called ahead and asked how behind they were, they told me they could diagnos my pickup the next day. Had it towed there and it was there 2weeks b4 they told me there diagnosis was the HPOP and IPR valve. In which both had been replaced 1 month previous. They quote me $3500 to fix. I went and got my pickup and they tried charging me $100 for diagnosis. I told them I don't agree with there diagnosis and felt I didn't owe them anything. He ripped up the invoice and agreed. It went to another shop, they found it had a oil line that came off the oil rail goin to the injectors. 2 days and $200 later my pickup was fixed. Do not take powerstroke that won't start there. Just my opinion!

Took my 6.7 Cummins in there after 12 on a Tuesday and told them it was throwing a rail pressure code and a transmission sensor code, get told if not today it will be tomorrow, all fine and dandy with me. Call the next day and get told someone was looking at it, later that day I get a call asking if my problem was overheating, I explained to them again what the codes were. Friday rolls around, I call and ask if anything has been figured out, I get told someone is driving it and cant figure anything out.. My truck was there almost an entire week and not a single thing was done, as soon as I drove off the lot my truck threw the same 2 codes after they claimed they couldnt get any codes to be thrown. The truck should have been analyzed and tested with or without codes. This place should never be recommended nor used.

They charged me 14000.fa motor dst was supposed to be brand new .broke down on me today the 3/14/2023 &they cut my Cadillac converter now I can't go to work they r scammer

I called DTP while driving through to Oklahoma. My 2015 Powerstroke was acting up while pulling a trailer, DTP went above and beyond to help us get back on the road. Not very many shops will do this now days, Thank you DTP.
