I was extremely happy with the way my daughter's Toyota Highlander came out after Car Star McAllen fixed a side swipe from when she was at college in Alabama. I knew that the owner Joe Cantu would do a great job on it, so I had to wait to have the body work done when she was home for Christmas break. I was very pleased with the work, and how you couldn't tell it had ever been in a wreck. And the staff was so very professional. I tell my friends that ask me where to take their vehicles to have body work done, and I immediately tell them to take it to Car Star.

I don t usually leave reviews but I am so happy with the results! My car was in an accident where I was rear ended and shoved into another vehicle. My car had more extensive damage than expected, so I expected them to take a very very long time. They did an absolutely flawless job in a timely manner.My only additional comment is that the text message updates are great in theory, but not in action. I am a very busy person with a hectic schedule and my car was supposed to be ready on my only day off & I found out that it was not ready that day by calling first. I think you need to keep tabs on them for updates instead of relying on the text updates. Despite this, everyone I interacted with was helpful, especially Hector.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

They quoted me a price and time frame. After I agreed they immediately started working on my vehicle. The price was a bit lower and so was the time it took to repair my vehicle. I was devastated when a hit-and-run driver did significant damage to my car. It's so horrible to realize there are people like this in the world!For months, I waited to get a quote to have it repaired because I knew it would be expensive. Like most people, I work so hard for my money and don't have a lot of extra cash for such expected and infuriating things.Finally, I went to CARSTAR Collision to get a quote. Sarah was wonderful--professional, efficient, and friendly.I waited for a couple of weeks to take it in due to my schedule. When I called to make an appointment to deliver my car, Sarah made me feel like CARSTAR valued my business. My one concern was that the work would be completed on time as I only have one vehicle and decided not to rent a car. Sarah assured me it would be ready. Later that day, Joe called to offer additional reassurance.I called to return Joe's call and to check in, and Yadira was also so friendly and professional.Not only was my car done on time, but it was done a day early!!! I was so happy when I got the text to let me know I could pick it up, but not nearly as happy as I was when I saw the results of Lupe's work! Finally, I have my beautiful car back!!I highly recommend CARSTAR Collision!! I hope I never NEED body repair done on my car again; however, if I do, I know exactly where I'm going!!!

They did really fantastic job the had my truck done fast but unfortunately my insurance was slacking I recommend this place 100 percent great assistance and service and friendly

Paint job is terrible, and didn t expect to get aftermarket bumpers on a brand new heavy duty truck. Bumper and wheel well spaces are off on both side. Overall I think it s not your fault just think if vehicle is not going to end up straight you need to tell your customer.

It took more than unexpected but I was beyond happy about the results from my car everything was put back to normal and it was just amazing, I thank you all for every effort you all put into to make my car look like it did before they crashed it. Once again amazing job all that you do keep up the great work beyond satisfied

Completely unprofessional staff and almost zero communication with clients throughout the process. My car was here for 3 months and I was given 8 separate dates when my car would be ready. I would call on the day I was given to ask when I could pick up my car only to be told that it would be another 3-5 more days. No one ever called me in advance to let me know there would be a delay. I was always the one that had to call, and was never informed until the day of that there would be further delays. I requested that someone call me ahead of time, and was assured that someone would. Still no calls.I spoke to an estimator one afternoon, then called the next morning to ask him another question but was told he no longer worked for the company. I needed a simple email containing part numbers for my own insurance records, and even this was like pulling teeth. I had to call 4 times to request the email, and eventually the woman I spoke to hung up on me.Service: Body & Trim

They claimed to have replaced my trunk with spoiler it's the same one the scratches and dings speak for themselves and the mess left in my back seat not sure what that white stuff was but had to scrub my seats twice just get those stains out

Not completely satisfied with the work done on my vehicle. Took it in to remove hail damage. Almost 3months of not having. I get it back not detailed on the outside like mentioned, upon further inspection after cleaning it myself noticed 2 dents on back right door. So I'm not really happy. Live and learn. It was a third party doing the work.Service: Body & Trim

I had previously shared a review, but I guess it was "Lost in Space" and it was never posted.I was extremely pleased by the efficiency of the process to obtain a repair estimate for my truck.My insurance adjuster scheduled me for an appointment on Saturday morning and I arrived 15 minutes early. I was greeted by the gentleman at the front desk, we walked out to my truck and he took notes and pictures of the damage.He promised me a repair quote by Tuesday at Noon. I received my quote overnight on Monday night. It was in my INBOX on Tuesday morning.I am extremely pleased and satisfied with CARSTAR. I would gladly recommend them to my friends and family.

After getting hit and having my bumper,hood,headlights on driver side either destroyed or left barely hanging on i was sent here by my insurance. They left my car looking like nothing ever happened and went out of their way with keeping me up to date on how it was going. They contacted through txt and phone calls and they also have a site to follow up on how your vehicle repairs are going. The work they did was excellent, Kimberly was the person who looked out for me and did a great job of it. I highly recommend this spot if you ever need any work done on your vehicle!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

If I could rate it zero stars, I would. Luciano (manager) is unprofessional, rude, and unqualified to properly run a professional body shop. Take your vehicle to another body shop because if you bring it here the repair will take a lot longer than the estimated date by weeks. The customer service from the front desk is mediocre at best. Called multiple times for updates, no one ever got back to me, not a call, not a text, not even an email. If you bring your vehicle here and do not heed my warming trough this review, you can only blame yourself.Update: it s been one more month and I still don t have my car back.Services: Painting, Electrical, Body & Trim

The work on the hail damage was well done, and taken care of. The job estimate completion date was point, for the most part. I ve taken my vehicle to them twice and both times the job was well done.

Been waiting for a estimate for about 2 weeks. I keep getting told that someone will get back to me. As of now, nobody has called to follow up, if anything im the one calling almost everday. Horrible customer services with the females that answer the phones. And this is just for a estimate..

Wouldn t recommend this shop, after a truck ran the stop sign then the insurance paid over $16k to this shop and still they did not have my truck completely, it took about almost 5 months to pick it up and still I had to pick it up as it was. For them it s fixed . My truck didn t have any prior accidents and it was practically new. It was the worst experience.

This happened on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022. This is oneof the worst places to do Body Shop repairs to your car. I do notrecommend it at all their receptionist (Erica) has very badmanners. She does not know how to deal with customers. if shedoes not like her job she better resign. Regarding the service,they want to scam you by saying that you must pick up your cardespite the missing piece and later they put it on withoutestimating the time. Who guarantees it, if they don't want to put itin writing? only highlighting a few words on paper doesn't doanything They want to fool you and I won't tolerate this type ofservice I'll never go to this place again and won't recommend it.

I am extremely satisfied with the staff and the efficiency they had in handing my repairs. They made it so easy to handle my insurance claim. I made an appt and by the time I dropped off my car they had already ordered the parts. They provided a repair date completion and even then finished a day early. Thank you guys for making accident my mother had less stressful. I loved how they provided a link that would let me keep track of the repair status. They did everything so easy for us.

The car was philthy on the interior when I got it back! The rear passenger window was scratched on the inside!
