Not the "new Bob." I walked in and asked for Bob. New owner says "I'm Bob, I'm the new Bob." He's far from it from a professional standpoint and quality of work. I took my car in because it was making a clanging noise. He and a tech heard it. Made an appointment for it to be fixed, brought it in, got the phone call the next day that it was fixed. I pick up the car and the new owner says they couldn't hear the noise. I get in the car and as soon as I pull out of the parking lot I hear the clanging noise. I called the new owner and he said to bring it back and go for a ride with his tech. I asked why that wasn't done in the first place and pointed out that on my first visit the new owner himself and a tech had heard the noise. So, he told me he was done with me, to come back and get my money refunded, and then hung up on me. Listen, pal, you are not the new Bob. If that is how you handle customer complaints my advice is that you don't get too comfortable. Customers were loyal because Bob always went the extra mile to make sure the repair was done right the first time. Your temper is only going to lose you business. We had been going to Bob for over ten years. I trusted Bob so much that I did not bother to get an extended warranty after my factory warranty expired.

My vehicle engine light came on and limited my speed to 20Mph on the I-75 service road. The first place to turn off was at Allen Car Care Center and the team diagnosed and fixed the issue within 24 hrs at a fair price. Thanks Bob and team for excellent service. They did a great job on my Honda and even charged me less than what they originally quoted! When does that happen?! VERY friendly guys there. Definitely recommend.

I recently had my car worked on at Allen Car Care and I couldn t be more pleased with the customer service, the updates, and the quality of work. The best part was that they treated me like family and we actually talked for a while in the shop. Definitely check them out if you need any work done on your car.

Have nothing but good things to say about Rick and his staff. They looked at my car fast and with great prices. The wait was a little long but only because they were so busy.

Had Bob and team work on my daughters car suspension issues and four wheel brakes.After we picked up the car, the brakes failed.Had it towed back to Bob.He found a couple of bolts had come loose.He replaced the bolts, and this time applied a thread, locking compound to assure the same issue would not happen again.Car fixed.A disreputable mechanic could have/would have told us anything and charged us more money.Allen Car Care, an honest business told us exactly what was wrong, and took care of my daughter.To find an honest place like this in today s day and age is a gem in the sands.I highly recommend Allen Car Care for all your Car Care needs.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

Got our 100000 mile service done. Everything runs great. Took a family road trip shortly after and everything ran smooth. Friendly service. Car was done early, which was super helpful.

Bob was not there to give oil change of my oil for $20 like last 10 years but his loud mouth replacement wanted to charge me $65 to use my oil, good bye you lost a good customer for life with your cocky attitude and more than triple the price, good riddens

I am truly grateful for the very fast help I received from this shop! I just started a cross country trip and unfortunately broke down in Oklahoma just about 2 hours north of Dallas. Finding this shop truly saved me hassle and frustration. I explained to them how desperate I was for a fast repair. They understood and got right to work on the diagnosis! I have an older vehicle and sometimes I run into parts issues. This was the case this time! They allowed me to get a part shipped to them from eBay and they got me out of there in less than 2 days once the part arrived! Bob was really great, gave me lots of advice about my van and was really kind. What a great shop!! I will have to recommend them to anyone I know in the Allen and Dallas area!

We have used this mechanic a couple times and they did great work at a reasonable price. A few months back my husband took my car in told them what needed to be replaced as it was a very common issue on my make and model car. They did a diagnostic test and were told we needed to replace a different part that was about $600 instead of the $10 piece that my husband told them needed to be replaced. They said it would cost $1500 and they could have it done sometime that day. My husband told them he was going to do it himself as he was pretty sure it was other part he said needed to be replaced and we didn't want to spend $1500. We were charged $90 for the diagnostic test which turned out to be incorrect. I have attached a picture of the plastic piece that was destroyed in the center and the replacement piece is on the side. There is a good chance this was just a weird thing that does not normally happen because again they did good work for us in the past but I'm still irritated that we were charged $90 for an incorrect test.

I hate that I have to leave a bad review for Bob because he seems like such a nice guy. However, it turns out I paid money for a diagnosis back on 2/15/23 that was entirely inaccurate and caused me a whole lot of problems.Bob told me that I needed a new fuel sender unit as well as a new BCM. His diagnosis pulled up a whole lot of electrical codes, but he said it's beyond the scope of what he's able to do at the shop, and that I should take it to the dealer. He also said the vehicle will be safe to drive.I took my car over to Honda and showed them Bob's written diagnosis. They said it's up to me whether I want to do another diagnostic check, but if I want to stand by Bob's recommendation, I'd have to wait because the BCM part is on backorder. I figured no need to pay another fee, when Bob already diagnosed it.So, I waited and waited for months for this part to become available only for my car to break down last week (after 6 months). I towed it back to the dealer. They found out the problem wasn't a faulty BCM at all. Rather, it was some loose wiring around the electrical harness than ran through the bottom of the car. No parts needed. Now, the car is finally working fine.

Had my alternator replaced, labor rate, part pricing, and actual time to completion was very reasonable. Will bring my car back here for more work when needed. Bob is amazing, very professional, and has decorated his shop in a fun unique way. I highly recommend Bob! He is not only a professional when it comes to cars, but he is also a good human being! I met him today for an oil change, and he actually cared to ask my name & get to know me. We had a pleasant human conversation & he explained his services like a friend. It is so rare these days, in big branches customers are treated like robots. Bob has a small friendly truly family owned business & is a 4th generation in car care. He fixed my car & checked up everything. Wonderful guy, great service.

NTB did work on our suv a year ago and did not want to honor the repair. We took it to Bob and his crew at Allen Car Care and once again, they came thru for us. My suv had a cracked gas manifold and sounded like a loud race car, but now it rides so smooth! The pricing is reasonable, andthey are very professional. They have repaired the work of others' mistakes not once, but twice for us, so now they will be our go to shop! My husband Donny and I are very grateful for Bob and his crew! Trustworthy, open, communicative, and helpful.They have treated my wife and me right on multiple occasions. Today I was given an estimate for repairs I was told i needed. ACCC inspected my car and afterwards they informed me that a lot of things weren't needed. They took less money on the transaction and walked me through everything before they started so that I always felt comfortable.

Allen car care has literally become so important to my family. I have referred my mom, my dad, my mother in law, my uncles and anyone who will listen. They are not only seriously knowledgeable about all things car, they ALSO actually care about you and your circumstances. Bob, who is the owner, is the sweetest man you will ever meet. I just can t say enough good things about this place. We took our car in for a mystery coolant leak and they didn t stop until they found the problem. There were several people who put hours upon hours to make sure that our car was safe to drive with our 11 year old daughter in it. If you are looking for an honest mechanic... well you ve found it here. I will continue to drive the hour it takes to get there to have these amazing people service my car. Bob you have single handily restored my faith and I hope you understand what your expertise has meant to Josh and I.

EDIT: I am editing my review 2 years ago to say that I have been coming here for routine maintenance and he has been a blast to work with!2 Years ago review:I came here for a semi emergency and Bob was super nice and understanding of my situation. He had very reasonable rates and was extremely helpful. I unfortunately did not end up using his services because he did not take Synchrony's Car Care card. I use this to help mitigate the costs of auto repairs and I had to go somewhere else.However, if I'm ever in the area, I highly recommend him!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Was driving through Dallas on a road trip up north, car started getting real hot. Got off the highway and then happened to stop in the same parking lot that the car care center was. Found out my radiator had a hole in it. They initially told me 4.5 hours. 1080 dollars. Well they were able to get it done in half the time and got me about 70 dollars cheaper. Definitely would suggest this mechanic shop to friends and family. Great attitude and great service.

If you own a 2008 or newer vehicle with computerized components, I'd advise looking elsewhere for repairs. My experience was marked by miscommunications and incorrect information.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

Best place in the Allen area to get your car repaired. Bob is the nicest guy, he will treat you right, and fairly. Most importantly, his honest and he wants to do you right. Been going to him for years and will continue to do so for repair s and oil changes. Be sure to pet Sam when you are there too!!!

Going to Allen Car Care Center is the experience of going to your local car repair shop. They remember you, and do little things to help you out. They are always kind to my kids and the wait experience is pleasant.Do they know what they are doing? YES. We have had accurate work and fair pricing every time. We have been taking vehicles there for over 5 years.

I love this shop! They try so hard to show proof they're being honest! He takes pictures, never tries to oversell, when I get an oil change its just that unless he sees something obviously wrong. Plus they're great with kids. I brought my four toddlers in there to get an oil change which usually is a great excuse for people to be rude. But here, we were welcomed, and he was even coloring with one of my sons. And complimenting him on his great ability to understand what he's drawing. They're real down to earth men. Love it.

I spoke with the owner, and he was an extremely knowledgeable and friendly person. Very happy to help me and other customers as well as providing the best service for my car. I HIGHLY recommend anyone that has car problems to use allen car care, their response time destroys other company s times, their customer service is off the charts, and their quality in service is an A+ especially with a well developed time span to repair, it took them 2 hours to repair my, i was completely stranded because my starter wasnt working, thank you allencare! Consider me a regular customer!
