I picked up windshield wipers at Advanced Auto Parts for both my car and my wife's car. This store is located on the corner of Martin and 10th street in north McAllen. There was a good selection of wipers to choose from and I needed help finding the right ones to fit our vehicles. I asked the counter person, he was most helpful. He looked up the car models and found the info we needed to find the right wipers for each car. He even recommended a certain make of wipers that had good points of contact, I asked about the most expensive ones, he told me not to buy them because they received lots of complaints on them. I appreciated his honestly. There definitely is a lot of different products to choose from for automobiles at Advanced, so I'm sure you'll find what you need there.

Unfortunately the employees seem to need lessons in common courtesy and customer service. My girlfriend purchased some wiper fluid, and asked for assistance putting it into her car because she was running errands and didn t want to get dirty.Pretty simple request that shouldn t cause these guys much trouble, right?Wrong. Instead of helping her, or at least explaining why they couldn t, they decided it d be okay to make fun of her for not knowing how to do it , even though that s not why she asked. And when she decided to leave the store rather than further deal with this treatment, she was told not to take it so hard .I ll advise her to go to O Reilly from now on.

My wife and i appreciate very much how your staff helped her in her car needs. Daniel A. went above and beyond in helping her this evening. And can't say much more but thank God for his outstanding help; may he be doubly blessed.

Online says stores closes at 10pm, got there at 9pm and doors we're locked even though there was two employees with a customer at the counter so I took my business to O'Reillys. Both employees made hand signs and said that they were closed.

We needed a new battery and shopped at the 10th street Advance Auto on corner of Martin and 10th. After they installed battery, the car would still not start, so Roy and other 2 helpers worked and worked at finding the problem. They could have. just said: not our problem and forced me to have it towed to the dealership; however, they worked and worked and finally found a small switch under the brake pedal that had been moved out of place. They fixed it and car started right up! I soooo appreciated how they saved us towing and dealership $. Thank you, guys!! Wish I knew all of their names. We will be customers for life!!

Dropped by here to have my battery checked. The counter person's were kind enough to charge it up for me and when I returned to pick the battery up, they let me know the battery needed to be replaced. This process did not take long at all and the counterpersons were very helpful. Check em' out!

Very friendly staff n the they helped me install the battery to my car. Not like Orelliys where they seldom to help people out. N help u install the products u buy there. They deserve 5 stars. Very happy customer at Advance. U got my services forever.

The staff was helpful and friendly. The issue I have is the engine check light on my vehicle is on. The staff loaned me the diagnostic car computer which is very nice. My problem is that I could not use it to assess my vehicle. The reason was that they could not handle the computer due to Co Vid. The unusual part is the staff handles money, supplies and returns yet Co Vid rules did not apply. I would like to see them continue to help and possibly use gloves and a mask to help customers

Years ago, when I worked for Advance, when someone came to use with a dead battery in a vehicle and it tested "charge required" we offered a "loaner battery" swapped it out, charged it overnight and tested it again in the am. Some batteries were good, some were bad and some were symptoms of other charging system issues. Today, I ran into this issue myself, "charge required" when I asked about a loaner battery, without looking I was told they don't have any and I was told the best he could do is loosen it for me so I could take it out myself. I don't know if this is the companies new policy or this guy just didn't care but I told him I was Going to O'Reilly's and I needed a jump. He didn't bat an eye as I drove away. Great service

Great experience. The store is right around the corner from my house, so I ordered online the night before, woke up the next morning to a text telling me the order was ready. I walked right in the door my parts were waiting! Easy peasy!!

Great customer service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Will go out of their way to help you. They checked my engine light for free, Pep Boys were charging me $90 for that. Gave Advance Auto Parts my business instead and bought the part for my car.

Helpful staff but be careful of advice. Third brake lights are not always LED strips even though they look like it. I you tubed a video to find a way to fix that NOW REQUIRED brake light, and all I needed was a bulb. I passed my inspection sticker for a fixture of $8 instead of $40 used part. They did help in all other ways possible, though. I am grateful.

I had a very pleasant experience at Advance Auto Parts. Xander provided excellent customer service, fixing the light bulb in my car. He also went out of his way to help me replace my air filter, which I had no clue to do myself. If you're looking for a car repair location in the Valley, look no further than Advance Auto Parts!

My husband came in twice to pick up some things he needed, and both time the sales associate was very rude and short with him. Saying they didnt have an item, when it was right there in front of him. Saying a different price, when the price is stated on the item. We wont be back to this store ever again.

I used a gift card to pay an online order. It showed on the ticket before checking out. I also had to use another card. It billed my card and didn't credit my gift card. Buyers beware of these practices.

I was assisted by two people today. I've was courteous and respectful not to mention helpful. The second employee that assisted me was rude and condescending. Her attitude makes me not want to return to this location.

Went to go recharge my battery and I didn't know they had a loaner program where they loan you a battery meanwhile... All for free. Pretty nice!
