I would highly recommend staying away from this company. We had a rebuilt transmission installed by this company one year ago. The transmission is already bad. They refuse to honor the warranty, and tell us that the transmission needs to be replaced, at full cost. We spent 2900 dollars. Very bad ownership. The one star is only because zero is not an option.

They broke the cabin air filter bracket and didn't apologize nor fix it for their mistake. They did not even mention this until I checked it at home. I took an appointment from the team. I waited for 2 hours in the waiting room and they turned the heat off and let me to freeze. The technician left without check the car . So I left without the inspection. Bad experience

I got referred here from a friend - happy I did. Came in after some sensors lit up but not a lot else to work off of and Mike and his team took care of me from start to finish. They were prompt, thorough, knowledgeable. I d recommend them to anyone. Them being open on Sunday for drop off was also a huge convenience.

Small waiting room. But, it has coffee and goodies. Also has cable TV. And it's warm in the winter. Very knowledgeable techs. Decent customer service. Good prices. They won't rob you blind. And they will try to accommodate your schedule. The only place I go to now. Give them a try. They'll take care of you.

Took my dodge dart in a month ago to get the cv axle replace 1st) The guy at the desk was super rude, condescending,and obnoxious. But i still said please and thank you and was on my way. 2nd) They told me when i dropped it off that it d take the rest of the day to do or the next. LIE. They had my car for 3 full days and were annoyed when id call for an update. 3rd) *Most infuriating* When I received my car back it was making a squealing noise EVERY time i made a turn .. They cant even replace a CV axle correctly.

Fast dependable service with great prices. We come to Samstone for oil changes, brakes, tire rotation and state Inspections. They always take care of us.

Don't expect to just show up and get a state inspection done. "Inspector will be back tomorrow."Two mechanics were sitting there doing nothing, yet acted very put out by my presence, and my daring to ask, whether as an inspection station, they might go so far as to inspect my car.Waste of time.

Trustworthy - Finding a trustworthy service provider in automobile repair is hard and I m glad that I dropped by this place almost an year ago to get some minor issues fixed.My trust in this place only builds up after each visit.I got the inspection done for two of my vehicles here. Multiple oil-changes, replacing the headlight of my Subaru(Fun fact: It s not easy).I was not charged for some minor services even when I offered to pay which is not common. I was also recommended other service providers when the issue turned out to be something that s not done here. The recommendation turned out to be good as well.

Mike was great! I stopped by to see about getting my new front tow hooks installed on my truck, asked him how much it would be, he said don't worry about it I can do it for free real quick. I pulled around and he got them changed out for me and wouldn't even accept a tip after again saying no charge. Will definitely be going back to them for anything I need!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Victor was very professional and actually was able to get my truck in, patch my tire up, and got me back on the road within 10 minutes! Discount tire can t do anything like they can. Samstone Auto Repair is excellent - highly recommend. I'm not one to write reviews, but it is worth spreading the word. Go here. I have had some pretty terrible experiences at Honda dealership service department, so I decided to try Samstone Auto Repair. First experience was awesome. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable, personable staff specially store manager Mike. They got me in for an appointment very quickly, diagnosed/communicated the issue quickly, and got it resolved for a lower price than what I would have expected. Have been back twice now and both experiences were phenomenal.

I stopped by for my inspection. Great service from everyone on staff. They also get a stuck screw. So stop by for oil, inspection and so much more. Tell them the lady in the Snoopy hat sent you. Good day.

I go here regularly for oil changes and I ve been very pleased with their prompt, professional service. But this last time they really went above and beyond. When changing the oil they noticed that my serpentine belt had shredded in half longways and was not going to last much longer. The shredded part was sitting at the bottom of the engine compartment. If they had not noticed this and fixed it (for a very reasonable price!) I could ve been stranded. Thank you so much!

I thought long and hard about making this review but I feel like I need to share my experience. I dropped my car to be serviced on a Sunday. I was told it was going to take 3 hours and they would call me they were finish. I waiting and waiting. I finally decided to call after I didn't hear from them. They closed at 3p. No phone call. They had my car over night and left me without transportation. I call on Monday morning as soon as they opened, and I still couldn't get my car because the guy that I worked with wasn't there yet and intake wasn't done properly so they don't know how much I owe or if the work was finished.... He arrives about 9:30a I suppose and I was finally able to get my car. Just soooo unprofessional..... not worth it. go somewhere else. Yes, I was provided a discount...far from heft. I was quoted $375 and in the end with taxes and fees I paid like $350....but nice try.

These dudes are awesome. I was shopping at Target down the street on a chilly January evening. When starting my car, the battery died. Instead of calling tow truck, I called these guys to see what my options were. They offered to drive over jump the car and change the battery at shop. After the jump, I drove to the shop and they installed a new battery on the spot. These guys are awesome and I hope you get the same level of service I did when I needed it the most.

I absolutely recommend this location 100%!After all the positive reviews here for this location, I decided to take my car here for my inspection. I was not let down at all.I was immediately greeted by Abbas. He was incredibly kind and patient (as usual, I didn't have my updated insurance card on hand). He and I conversed on and off while my car was being taken care of. He really helped to minimize the wait time, which was nothing.Abbas and Justin pointed out an issue I was informed of previously at a different shop and quoted a much lower rate. I was incredibly appreciative for that.All in all, the experience was fantastic! They were all professional, friendly, honest, and respectful. I will only ever bring my car here from now on.Thank you for a painless car maintenance experience!

Friendly and honest service. I am new to the area and am confident I have found my go-to mechanic. I came in for what I thought was going to be a pricey repair. The problem identified turned out to be a quick/cheap fix. I will definitely be back for an oil change soon. Thanks, guys!!

It's rare to find a friendly, thorough and professional auto repair shop that doesn't make you feel you're being charged too much. These guys are the kind of people you want to give your business to. I highly recommend them for all your automotive services needs. Your decision of where to have your vehicle serviced just got incredibly easy, and you need to be going to Mike and the guys at Samstone. You really can stop looking anywhere else at this point, but if you re one of those people who like to have the details, I ll fill you in. I had been in a car accident in my family s primary vehicle on a Saturday, and I found myself having an issue with my other vehicle s window on Sunday. It was stuck in a down position and would not roll up, and this was my only means of transportation. If you ve never been forced to seek an auto shop that is open on Sunday, consider yourself quite lucky! After almost an hour searching elsewhere, I reached Samstone and spoke to Mike. He was the only shop that was both open and willing to take a look at our issue on a Sunday afternoon. That alone would be enough to show their care for resolving customers problems.I ve always wished I were one of those people who has a guy for this, and has a guy for that. I never had a guy for auto issues in the past, probably due to always feeling like I was taken advantage of and being overcharged for services. From now on, Mike is my guy.I brought the car in Sunday evening to have it looked at and it was determined that a part had to be ordered to finish the repair. They got it ordered on what seemed like very short notice and had me come back first thing in the morning. I was quoted what I thought was a very fair price and it was significantly less than what I was initially estimating.We came back in the morning, and I was watching my 6 year old niece at the time. Anyone who has children knows that it is not easy keeping those attention spans in check. However, I found it easy in the comfortable waiting area at Samstone. They had a television that was playing her favorite show, as well as complimentary water, sodas, and mints that she really loved. In fact, on Sunday night she said she was looking forward to going back in the morning to have some more orange soda! It may sound small, but the little things like that show Mike and the team s focus on the customer and the desire to provide a comfortable experience for what is often a stressful situation.The repairs ended up being more complicated than expected, due to the model and year of my vehicle. Rivets had to be drilled out to access the window s regulator, so things took a bit longer than expected at first. I can understand that, and I put that mostly on the design of the vehicle. I was beginning to worry that the extra time would cause my bill to increase due to the extra labor required. After all, that would be in line with my previous experience at auto shops.Mike was unbelievably gracious in that he stuck to the original quoted amount, clearly explained the situation, apologized for the delays because of this, and actually gave me a bit of a discount for the unexpected wait time. I was stunned! Never before had I come across an auto shop that was so focused on doing the right thing and not taking advantage of their customers. It would have been easy too; everyone has heard stories from someone or another of getting unnecessary and expensive work and charges added to a repair bill. I was fully prepared to be out hundreds of extra dollars, but the quality and value I received from Samstone will be something I never forget. On top of all of this, Mike even took the time to look at phots of the damage to our other vehicle and made recommendations for repairs or getting a new vehicle.Every interaction I had through this ordeal has convinced me that I now have the right guy for all my auto needs. Mike and the team s attention to us and other customers, and recognition of the predicament we were in due to the accident, shows quite clearly how much these guys strive to take care of their customers and build lasting relationships. I m also not someone that writes many reviews, but I was compelled to after the overwhelmingly positive experience I had at Samstone. I am new to Texas and the owner personally assisted me with my issue. I went on my lunch break and my car was ready when I got off work. He was very forthcoming with what had to be done up front. I will not use another auto body shop.

I went in for a basic oil change after reading all the good reviews. I was charged more than I planned on spending, but they handled my shock pretty well and explained everything very thoroughly and I think it was a good price for everything they did. They even put a little air freshener on my rear view mirror and vacuumed up some loose sprinkles. Cool, right? Coming here again, but definitely asking about the price before I hand over the keys.

This place saved my day. Midas down the street "lost" my appointment and I was on a very tight schedule last Friday. My oil was way overdue to be changed, so my fiance sent me the name of this place after seeing it had good reviews. I called and they said they could get me in right away. I drove straight there and sure enough, they got my car in immediately. They then told me I needed new brake pads, which I kind of expected. I asked the price and the quote they gave me was more than fair. They replaced the front and back brakes and changed the oil all in under an hour. The people were friendly, the service was quick, and the prices were good. I can't think of anything else I would need in a car repair shop!

Roger was extremely professional, nice & courteous. Mike was prompt with the service & had the Cable for my Interior Door Handle available today just as he said he would & I was able to have my Interior Door Handle fixed within just a couple of hours. I'll definitely be coming back for any of my other Car needs.

My car had been in and out of another shop for about 6 months for a single issue before I decided to take it here instead. No joke, within about 10 minutes they diagnosed the issue and fixed it for me. It was immediately clear that I had wasted lots of time trying to work with the other shop. Samstone has honest and trustworthy mechanics that know what they're doing. The team here is honest, knowledgeable, and hard-workingI brought my truck here with a flat tire, as it was the closest place to me. Didn t know a thing about the business other than auto repair .Mike immediately helped me, got my spare on and provided some insights and consultation.Very quick and friendly process, and when I went to pay the team said not to worry about that.

Took my car to these gentleman on Saturday around noon. Explained what I was hearing from my vehicle and they put it on the lift and took care of the issue in less than 10 mins. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to work with. Excellent service! They were efficient and to the point, even showed me what was wrong with my car with a flashlight. They went the extra mile to work with my warranty company to help save me money. At Samstone I felt that I was important, unlike my experience with my car's dealership. They worked quickly and repaired my car within a few hours. I will definitely be back.
