Richard at Terrys is a LIFE SAVER. We drove in from DFW on a Saturday for an event at ACU, and our car suddenly went haywire and died. Richard took our vehicle on a SATURDAY NIGHT and worked late into the evening to check it over and find a solve so we wouldn t be stranded away from home. Truly, we ve never experienced such incredible care and customer service. If you re in Abilene, this is your mechanic. Thank you Richard! You saved us!

Richard of Terry's Automotive is a great mechanic . He is very honestand really knows his stuff. I broke down 3 times while traveling west I20 with a fuel leak. The first mechanic tried but started leaking again. The second mechanic tried, .but it started leaking again. I had it towed to Terry's Automotive in Abilene, and he fixed it right . Have traveled over 2500 miles still going strong.

My wife and I broke down at 9:35pm on 1-20 in the middle of nowhere. Richard was the only shop that called us back and got us back on the road to Lubbock next day. His mechanic even came and picked us up at the hotel and brought us to the shop. Great people and great service they save our weekend at Tech with our kids.

While traveling cross country in a Chevy Tahoe i miscalculated my gas and ran out. That wasn t the problem as i was towing my side by side and had a full gas ca for it. The problem was when I restarted the car it had no power and the check engine light came on. So I limped into town and filled up the car and the can. The local dealer was closed so what to do? Wife found Terry s on google and it said they were open. We drove over and the car stated running better but I wasn t convinced. Pulled in and the mechanic came out with his port checker and found the problem. I told him what happened and asked if he would reset the error code, he did and it staid off. We decided it would be a good idea to drive it around and check it out. I did and it ran fine. Apparently the computer in the car really doesn t like running out of gas. It thinks the fuel pump broke. So problem solved no charge and I was back on the road on a holiday weekend when others wouldn t answer the phone.

I just wanted to drop a Big Thank you!!! My daughter and her friend were on their way back from a concert from Dallas, traveling back to Midland and Lubbock when their jeep had a leak... they were stressed and not sure what to do... they called us in Midland and we told them to look up who is close and open... nobody was willing to help but, they called you guys and Thomas told them to bring the part and he put it right in for them, free of charge! With a world so messed up, I'm grateful for this kind and compassionate person... I prayed for them they would find a person like you! Thank you soooo soooo much for taking care of the girls! What a Quality and Honest group at Terry's !!! I am so exceedingly grateful and thankful for their tremendous service and FAIR AND HONEST pricing. I live hours away and my son attends Hardin-Simmons. He calls me Saturday late afternoon (Labor Day Weekend) and his 2008 Ford F-150 won't start. Sounds to be the starter or alternator........So I search the vicinity of the University for auto repair shops on line and read some awesome Google reviews on Terry's. So we have it towed, AAA, and it is SUNDAY MORNING OF A HOLIDAY WEEKEND ......The folks at Terry's repair the starter for an absolute reasonable price and my son is on his way by mid-day with repairs on A SUNDAY , FINDING PARTS FOR A 2008 Ford truck.OUTSTANDING .... and they saw corrosion on the battery terminals and cleaned that up , COMPLIMENTARY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So TRUST ME AND MY SON AND THE 50+ Google reviews...What a pleasure and tremendous peace to know that these folks DID RIGHT BY MY YOUNG SON IN THE WAY THEY TOOK CARE OF HIM.Many Many thanks to the quality folks at Terry's .....From a Father that is hours and hours away from his son in need......You took good care of him and I am so so grateful for your goodness and being there for him when I couldn't be.........................Best Regards, Mark Holmes.

Terrys is an honest place to take your vehicle. I live in Arizona and my son goes to college in Abilene. Terry has been so kind and easy to work with for all of my son s vehicle needs and there have been many. I wouldn t take my vehicle any place else. Best experience I ve ever had with an auto shop. They were so kind and professional and talked me through the troubleshooting process. Terry was on top of giving me updates the entire time my Land Rover was in the shop and fixed the issue in no time. Highly recommend this shop!

Hands down the best in the business. They don't charge to hook your car up to the computer to diagnose problem. Estimates are free. They're professional, courteous, kind, honest, and, you won't have to sell a kidney to pay for repairs as their prices for labor & parts are incredibly reasonable and fair.I particularly appreciated him taking the time to explain the "what & why" of my car's problem.Usually a visit to an auto mechanic shop rates up there with going to the dentist, jury duty, or having a colonoscopy. Some rat bit on our 2015 Camry axle boot and I had hard time taking it to replace the axle so we had it taken to the professional at Terry's and they had it done in one day

Stop searching for the right mechanic right now, and go to Terry's. Hands down the nicest and most honest mechanic I've ever been to! I was on the road traveling and needed some work done to my rear passenger wheel. I called Terry's on a Sunday, at 2pm, and to my surprise not only did Richard answer the phone, but told me to head over and he'd take a look.Not only did they get me in same day...on a SUNDAY, but set me up with a new wheel bearing. Richard also took the time to show me the inner workings of the rear wheel system (as I'm a tinkerer and quite interested myself) and explained a few other things that might be causing the 'whooshing' that I was hearing. You just don't come across mechanics OR people like this very often at all.I'll say it again, stop your search right now and give Terry's a call. Oh and make sure to give their sweet pup Scarlet a few pets as well!Thanks again Becky and Richard for such a wonderful experience as a first time visitor to Texas!Service: Tires

Support this business! We were on a road trip and had an emergency car repair need that was fairly complicated. Richard and Becky were genuinely kind and helpful. They communicated well and worked with us outside of the 9-5 day. They also helped to keep the cost reasonable. We visited today from GA. Staff was friendly and beyond kind. I came in with me 40ft HS and 2 kids. They offered us water and asked if we had eaten. Turned on Netflix for the kids and literally walked me through every little detail and showed me what was needed and why. I appreciated the information as well as the honesty. They work on the weekends and all Diesels trucks. Anytime I m in TX this is where I will be going. It s so hard finding an honest and affordable mechanic. Good honest folks. My daughter took her car to him for the first time before she bought it to have him look it over after Firestone had found about $2,500 worth of repairs that were needed. He not only said it didn't need all those repairs but asked us to come and look to show us that it didn't need it. We ultimately had him do some work that had been quoted at a much higher price. She has taken it back since. Once to have some lights repaired after a minor accident. Expecting it to be a pretty high bill she was surprised when he told her to come get it, there was no charge. When she asked why he said it was just a minor fix and he just didn't feel right about charging her for something so small. You just don't find that kind of honesty very much. I wouldn't take my vehicle's anywhere else.

Our car broke down while visiting from out of town. Terry's went above and beyond to repair our vehicle as quick as possible. They worked beyond their regular hours and kept us informed on the progress. My vehicle is my livelihood and I was very fortunate to find this place while experiencing automotive problems while on a run with work. The first time it was my alternator and the latest was a fan clutch that of course would go out during a heat wave. They took the time to immediately diagnose my problem and provided prompt service to get me back up and running with little down time. Honesty in this business can be difficult to find, but you ll be in good hands here.

I would give these guys 10 stars if I could, the world needs more shops like this. As soon as my family and I walked in the door we they made us feel at home. Becky treated my daughter like a princess. Richard is a great guy and a sharp technician. If you need fair prices and quality work then look no further.

If you re looking for customer oriented and honest mechanics...you need to go here. They will not let you walk away disappointed. Definitely the best vehicle repair experience I ve had. This is an absolutely AMAZING shop! The people are honest, caring,friendly and knowledgeable. We broke down traveling to see extended family. They worked efficiently to get us back on the road as soon as possible and with family for Christmas. Words can not begin to describe how grateful and truly BLESSED I feel finding this mechanic shop!!

I brought in an '02 Mercedes for a scan O'REILLY'S could not accomplish. Success AND no charge! What an unexpected blessing. The shop is not air conditioned nor is it as posh as a Mercedes dealership shop BUT they get the job done and done right for MUCH less cost.

Great, HONEST service! Came in to have an check engine light, checked out. Not only did they do the plug-in diagnosis, but also put physical hands on my car. Found a minor issue, suggested a easy fix.

Very helpful. I needed help with getting an axle nut off, and they were willing to use their impact to break the nut free so I could continue my axle change at home.
