Years ago my father had a tire store. Abilene General was one of the few we trusted to refer our customers to. They're still the tire store I trust to do things right the first time.

Abilene General Tire was fantastic! Very friendly and so quick! My tire came in overnight and was out on just as quickly as they received it. I could not find anyone who could get the tire I needed and they miraculously found the exact tire I needed! Only place in town! Next time I need a tire or tires I will definitely be calling on Abilene General Tire! Thank you so much for everything!

I had a slow leak in my left front tire they took it off and checked it out couldn't find the leak they put a new valve stem in for meThey didn't charge me anything for the service

Good place good people. There not very many places in town that will touch spoke wire rims.They normally don't miss with spokes wire rims but they have really been good.

Such nice customer service! I thank them so much we showed up a little before closing time and they were busy and stayed open late for us. Very nice gentlemen. Very down to earth men and reasonably priced. Nice, clean, cool environment to wait in. Quick service! Thank you so much for getting us back on the road! Definitely has our business!

Good local shop. Courteous and was able to order my size of tires very quickly. I would definitely do business with them again. They made quick work installing a new set of truck tires. Competitive prices and local shop charm, consider getting a quote here if you're looking at the large chains as your only options. I was looking at ordering a set online and having one of the large shops install them like I have in the past but I am glad I just stopped by and let this shop take care of everything. The tire shipment was a few hours late but they called and updated me throughout the day and I was able to get the tires on the same afternoon. Long story short- good shop, good price, great service, go by and see them.

MORE THAN HONESTY AND INTEGRITY... Driving across country with children can be exciting, magical, but also extremely stressful -especially when running into mechanical / vehicle issues. Adding to the pain is knowing you are utterly at the mercy of whatever help you are able to land. With highway heat separating the plies on our old RV tires nearly a thousand miles from home (ATL, GA) we could not have been more vulnerable. Not only did the shop manager (Owner?) take the time to consider our options (Uncommon tires that would need a special order), he got his tech to weigh in and we arrived at a solution which yielded them zero business but got me and my family safely to the next major city where the issue could get addressed more feasibly. They refused to accept a dime for their time and labor to assess and rotate the rear impacted tires. So the least I can do is to take the time from our vacation to write this review. This shop was more concerned about the safety of a stranger passing through than to turn a profit. Rare to see anymore and well worth supporting! All our best!

Tires priced very competitive or lower. Great experience purchasing and having tires installed. Would highly recommend others also consider Abilene General Tire Co when looking to purchase tires.

This is one of if not the best locally owned tire stores in Abilene. I find it nice to be greeted by a professional and knowledgeable person vs. a salesman who is only interested in their own commissions.
