I am a customer and the receptionist was very kind and knowledgeable, but please do not ever call or point out a customers willing to pay or issues.

My son's in the military and currently stationed in Syria until February, so his girlfriend had to take in his truck in when it unfortunately broke down near this place. Hey, if they want to tell you one price then ask for more when you go there to pay, ok.. If you don't want to include the diagnostic as part of the bill and not deducted like every other shop I know of, ok. If you want to hang an American flag but don't want to give military discount, ok. If a new warning comes on after you supposedly repair the vehicle and want to claim it's just a coincidence that it happened to come on while in your shop, ok. If you want to get snippy when you are questioned about all of this, ok. But when my son's girlfriend finally had time to pick up the truck and the damn check oil light comes on before getting out of Springfield and she has to pull over for help, not ok. Maybe you people should think about why you have so many bad reviews and look inward before you start arguing with people on Google reviews

The owner is a real loser.. better off going to a shade tree mechanic than this place. Suppose to have fixed the rear main seal. Got truck back leaking like a faucet. Oil everywhere. When asked what the problem was tried to lie and say the oil was coming from the oil pan until I showed him a video that I recorded then started fumbling over his words. Couldn't come up with other lie I guess. If you not a mechanic dont claim to be. What a real dump

A few months ago I had my car here because it was slow to crank they kept it a day and told me no problem! Can t find a issue. Fast forward to two days ago after seeing what looks like promising reviews other than the last few (makes sense) I took it back because the breaks are making a noise. I was told my breaks are fine & everything checked out.NO diagnosing the issue but I was still charged $40. I wanted my money worth so I figured go ahead and change the dead tire sensor since I m paying something regardless day 2 of my car being there and was told they can t figure out which one it is.3 days total at this place to be told there s no problem with my car and the one OBVIOUS problem they can t even fix. A tire sensor . Took it to the shop down the road and was in and out with the problem fixed.I can t say the work is horrible here because BOTH times on different occasions I was told nothing was wrong with my car but if you want your time wasted this Is definitely the place to go! On the bright side the receptionist is super friendly so at least the experience is pleasant.Because I can t respond on here I ll respond to owners comment HEREI never called your shop horrible I said I can t pass that judgment because you didn t do ANY work. I also asked you if you checked front and BACK breaks and you said yes but in the response below you clearly only checked the front. YOU told me you couldn t find which sensor was dead but wrote below that you found 3 out of the 4? You can t keep up with any of the BS you spit out.

Great place to do business with! Mike and the staff were very helpful and informative and punctual. If mike said he s going to call he s going to call and they helped expedite my repair because I use my truck every day for work. Gave me all my options for my choice of repair as well as mentioned other things to find out about the truck because I had only owned the truck for 27 days and the dealer was being zero help when time was of the essence. They had my truck in and out in 3 business days and the price was more then fair for what they did for me! Would highly recommend and they will get all of my auto business in the future! very uncomfortable experience here. i tried to bring my car in for repairs on 8/3/22. the receptionist (who clearly wasn't very knowledgeable) awkwardly took notes about the issues i was having with my car. the manager wasn't there, so we had to wait for him to get back in touch with the front desk to give them permission to take my car in. this took about 20 minutes. when he finally reached out he said they couldn't take it today, and instead they offered to set an appointment for 8/15. i said that wouldn't work. so the receptionist calls some other auto repair shop in nashville to help me set an appointment with them. weird but i thought she was just being helpful. she puts the phone on speaker, and the person who answered had a slight accent. she proceeds to go on a racist tirade. i am extremely uncomfortable at this point so i leave as quickly as possible. absolutely cannot recommend this business.

My husband and I took our vehicle to this shop since we were told great place and same values as we have. We took our vehicle once with no known answers, no problem no one could find the issue either. The issue happened again, except this time they found the answer. We were excited to finally have answers and have out vehicle back in shape. However, we were never given a call on price or consent to work on the vehicle. We waited 2 or 3 days my husband called to find out the vehicle was done. (No call on that either). The only response, we didn't know which number to call. They have both mine and my husband's number, at least call one! Best part of the story is the price, no one thought to call us on something that was over $800. We will NEVER take our vehicles back there again. For everyone that has had a good experience, good for you! If you're new to the place, hope your experience is better than mine, but I just wanted to warn! We're thankful that our vehicle is fixed, but at what cost? When you feel unvalued as a customer and feel that you were possible ripped off.

I definitely recommend this place. Great communication after dropping my vehicle off. The parts for my truck were delayed for a few days, so they provided me with a loaner vehicle until mine was fixed. Knowledgeable mechanics, and fantastic customer service.

I needed a trans rebuild and some other work done on my truck. I had done business with springfield Auto and trans before and they did great work, fast, and great prices. I have also sent many people there from work and family and all of them were taken care of and had nothing but great things to say. So I drop the truck off on a Sunday via wrecker and its ready for pickup Wednesday around noon. For a rebuilt trans and odds and ends the service is top notch. The owner Shane as well as the nice lady I spoke with initially on the phone were very helpful and listened to what I wanted and made it happen. The prices are more than fair and the big thing is trust! Its hard to trust some shops but this one is my go to. If you need any work done on your car call springfield auto and trans. By the time you get off the phone you will feel better already!

I just wanted to take a minute and review Springfield Auto Transmission. As you can see I gave them 5 Stars because I am so pleased to have found this place. It is hard to find trustworthy folks and the people there listen to me when I explain what is going on with our vehicles. They have done everything from changing the oil to much more involved repairs. Once I went in for a front end alignment and they found a bracket that wasn t holding the front differential in place and I had to leave it there for a couple of days. That probably saved me having a wreck. I will be forever grateful for them catching that. They are also fast on the repairs they do, thankfully. We had to turn in two cars back to back one time and one had some pretty extensive repairs and both were back quickly enough that no one missed anything important. These people are top notch and I would recommend them to anyone.

I love this auto shop, and it's the only place I'll take my car for mechanical repairs. I found ATR a couple of years ago when the transmission started acting up in my Ford Focus. Tracy Langston Ford charged my a "diagnostic fee" just to tell me they needed to do more diagnostics. I took it to ATR who determined relatively quickly it was a computer problem. They also realized that since my car was under 80k miles it qualified for a warranty, so they replaced the computer free of charge and only charged me for the diagnostic.Most recently, I took my Ford Edge in to have the Windshield Wiper switch and door latch looked at/replaced. I was quoted $700, which is about what I was expecting, but when I went to pick it up, the bill was only around $350. On the drive home, my brakes started acting up, so I took it back and they determined it was the master cylinder. Instead of making me wait a few more days, they immediately repaired it. After a few days the brakes were still feeling light and fluttery, so I took it back and they fixed it again at no charge.This shop is completely top notch. They're not only super friendly and helpful, but also extremely knowledgeable.

This place is not only the friendliest place I have been, but the smartest place to go to take your car. I went to get a second opinion over some brakes that another shop told me I needed. when I went there they told me my brakes were good and taught me how to check my own fluids. They are honest, educational, and extremely fair in price. I will only be going here for all my car needs.

I've been a loyal customer for 18+ years. Everyone is friendly, courteous, professional & most of all "HONEST" which is rare in these days & time! From pickups to cars to luxury to old hot rods, they have worked on all of 'em for me. They are the only mechanics I allow to touch &/or work on any of my vehicles. Friendly, courteous, trustworthy & honest...how can anyone beat that!!

A great place to take your vehicle. Shane and his staff are very knowledgeable and won't charge you for what you don't need. They do great work and stand behind it. I have taken my vehicles to them for years.

Honest, upfront and knowledgeable repair shop. I ve been coming to this shop for years and continue to travel here from Nashville for all of mine and my husbands auto needs. I have complete trust and confidence in the owner and his staff, you won t find a better place to take your vehicles!!

This is the worst, most unethical shop I ve ever been to!!! They wanted to fix issues that didn t seem to be a problem and charge me 235!!!! And then have the audacity To call me and say well that didn t fix it guess we need to move on to the radiator and see and if that fixes it, I guess we will just move on to something else If the radiator doesn t fix it! and on top of that, charge me almost 600 to fix the radiator with a one year warranty! I got the radiator and have a life time warranty!! Scams don t go! Very disappointed, especially after reading the other reviews! That s why I went with this company, got proven wrong... would not recommend to my worst enemy!

They listened to me when another place had blown me off! That's so important to a woman in need of car repair. They discovered I actually had 2 different things wrong, and had it fixed and back to me in no time! I appreciate a Mechanic I can trust.

Excellent workmanship and reasonably priced! Very prompt and flexible with repair scheduling and they even provided emergency same day service at no extra cost when disaster struck. There are not enough stars here for these folks.

Great shop! Been using these guys for some years now. Good work that lasts. Had them do some custom electrical stuff that turned out great too.
