Oil change done in 3 hours incredible turnaroundAlso, receptionist asked if I needed a tire rotation, I said it s a newish car, have him take a look and if they need it, do it. When I picked it up she said the tires are good! They coulda rotated me on his word for a quick buck but they are honest folks and saved me my money, great local business! Must continue to support!

I used Owen Automotive to get an old vehicle, 2006 F150 5.4, that had been sitting for awhile ready for my teenage daughter and her adventures. I wanted it in top condition and reliable. Gail and Donnie certainly took care of that request and George did an amazing job diagnosing and getting my 17 year old pickup ready and back to reliable for my daughter's first vehicle. I cannot thank y'all enough for the constant contact and updates on the progress as well as the end result. Thanks for the work and service to our town. took the car by there on a Friday afternoon after work, and waited for the car. they changed 2 of my O2 sensors in less than an hour.the communication was wonderful. i will be taking every vehicle i own to this place for repairs from now now. Oh did I mention the price was very affordable???

Owen Automotive checks all the boxes: reliable, fast, and trustworthy. When you take your car there, you know you are not going to have to deal with attempts to upsell and you know your car will be fixed right the first (and only) time. Highly recommend!

So I've been going to Owen for two or three years. They used to be located more in the Oakland area and they shared space with another automotive shop. From the first time I went there, my experience was positive. As a woman who was trying to get car work done, it's important that you trust your mechanic. Unfortunately, some mechanics still look down on women and think we're idiots, but I've never had that experience here. Services I've had performed are my oil changed, I've had my tires replaced, I also had some engine work done but quite frankly, I don't remember what it was but they diagnosed it and did a great job. I would say their prices are very affordable and competitive. When I first found them, I was looking for a smaller shop that wasn't constantly busy and could fit me in relatively quickly. Well now they've moved out closer to Summerville but still within a distance from my house that is reasonable. Honestly, this next shop is nicer and bigger. They have a nice waiting room with coffee. They are office staff is kind. I've had no complaints with them. Fair prices, nice people, and the owner is a gym. Quite frankly, I probably drive him crazy with my questions but he's a nice guy. He is a family guy. And I feel like I can trust them. Oh, most of the mechanics that work there are his kids and they have been trained well.

Really don t see how this place has a 4.9 rating ! No communication skills whatsoever. Can t even call someone and say hey before you spend 115 dollars on an alignment you may want to replace this and this . Seems simple right ? It s a win win , you make money off installing new parts and i the customer leave there happy ! Smdh not with these folks ! Then they have the audacity to say we usually assume the vehicles are ready for an alignment. Once again a phone call could have worked out well for both of us ! So much more I could say on this but I ll just take this as a 115 dollar life lesson !Service: Auto maintenance

When I say my first time when I needed tires amazing explain everything before they start. This time for two tires and a wheel alignment my appointment was on time. Wasn t there all day the people and dog is friendly the whole time making sure okay. My service was done in a hour. Any other issues this my ONLY SHOP I am going too seriously.Great atmosphere, Great service, Great and friendly people. And I love you all dog(I am a dog lover).

Good and fair mechanics are hard to come by these days. My neighbor recommended Owen Auto to me after he had some work done and was pleased with the work. I had my wife s brakes done and also an oil leak on another car looked at. The staff at Owen is extremely friendly and communicative. They call you and let you know exactly what they have found and how to proceed in their opinion. The work is completed quickly. I will definitely be going to them again in the future for any issues.

We were told an oil leak might be a costly repair ($900). After becoming disappointed by the appointments being delayed several times to make the repair, we got a second opinion from Owen. After looking at our vehicle, turns out it was a $161 repair. Owen cleaned the area where the leak was occuring and it was simply that the oil filter needed tightening. After our last oil change at another business it didn't get tightened. Owen is honest, professional and so friendly. They found the actual problem and saved us a lot of money. Highly recommend! I have used Donnie and Owen Automotive for many years because they are good at what they do and I trust them. I feel like they treat me fairly and they always do exactly what they promise. Their pricing is reasonable. I have taken many vehicles to them over the years...some with minor issue and some with major...and will continue to do so. The team at Owen Automotive repaired several issues on my aging vehicle. They were upfront with cost, responsive to any questions and fixed all the issues within a couple of days. They communicated when needed. Very pleased with the service. I will be using them again and can totally recommend them. I went to Owen Automotive to get tires installed and a alignment. What a difference in the drivability in my truck. No more shaking or veering. I highly recommend them. It is a rare experience where I feel I am with a trustworthy mechanic or auto shop. Owen Automotive is one of those rare places.They go over and above. It's family owned. I felt welcome and at home from the moment I walked in.I don't believe you will be sold anything you do not absolutely need to get back on the road.These are good people.Service: Electrical repair

If I could give Owen automotive 10 stars are above I would. Donnie is so efficient and so kind and so thoughtful and really takes care of his customers. I have been a customer for years and I would never change. I have been other places and Oakland that were not exactly what Owen automotive is. I ll leave it at that.

Update 2/27/2023Had car trouble just as I was leaving for NAS Pensacola. Donny got me in immediately, diagnosed. and fixed the problem within minutes. I can always depend on Donny and crew to take care of my vehicles and grateful that we have a good, honest, dependable shop here in town.

The first time I took my car in, I had been to several places to get my tire patched and no one would give me the time of day. I took my car here, and right away they got my car pack and patched the tire immediately. The next time I stopped by to see if they happened to have time for an oil change. Same thing, got me in immediately. My youngest son loves coming with me to play with the shop s pups and was even allowed to pick out a hot wheels car which made his day! I regularly use Owen Automotive! It is conveniently located in Oakland. Donnie and his team accurately assess my problem and repair it in a timely manner. This is an excellent business. They do quality work. They are honest and let me know up front what things will cost before taking my vehicle apart. Reasonable prices as well. Best mechanic in Oakland. Reasonable prices. Good work.They are super busy so you may not be able to get your car/truck in on any old day. You will need to schedule it, but that just shows the locals trust him.Donnie is a good guy, and has never lied to me and his work is reliable. If you ever get bad service from one of his guys and you mention it to him, he deals with it. That is a sign of a honest business owner in my books.You need good affordable work done, go see Donnie. He will fix you right up, he will even find your dog for you..... LOL Oakland joke.

Owens automotive has a great staff. Helpful and professional. The price to fix my car is so much better then the dealer or any other shops I been at. I have used Owen Automotive for two different cars several times. I drive from Shelby County out to Oakland because I know they are honest! They are honest about what s wrong and don t suggest unnecessary repairs or take advantage of you. I have always been happy and grateful for quality , fair, and trustworthy service!!!

I used to live in Hickory Withe and got to know Donnie through another place he worked. Always honest and professional and when he started his own shop I followed him. Now it s even better! All of his men have his work ethic and commitment to real service! I moved back into the city but, I still go there for any serious repair issues. Yes, I drive 30 miles round trip for them to work on my truck. He s put a new engine in and got it back to me in 4 days!! Car repairs, Donnie is the man!! Thank y all!

Every time I go to Owens Automotive to have my car serviced I m impressed by the professionalism and customer service I experience. Recently due to a family member passing I needed to get my car s oil changed and head out of town early that morning. I advised Ben about my situation and he said no problem. He put me in the shop and I was out and on the road out of town in short order. Thanks Donnie and Ben at Owen Automotive it means a lot to have you in Oakland and taking care of your customers when the unusual circumstance comes up.

Went in for several repairs that my truck needed. I figured it would take 3 or 4 days but had my truck back the next day in the afternoon. My truck almost drives like it did when I bought it 14 years ago. Price was great for what they did. And they did a lot. Most of it I would have done the repairs myself, but the price made it great for them to take care of them for me. I will be back the next time i need big repairs again

I've taken several vehicles to Owen Automotive. I've always found them to be very honest. As a female, it was difficult to find an honest mechanic!! Owen Auto is just that. I know they won't try to "upsale" me or tell me anything misleading. The guys are super nice & courteous. They'll always be my "go to" for my automobiles!
