I've used Affordable Care care twice for repairs on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler Sport, and both times they've done an excellent job. Very up front & honest people, as well as very knowledgeable.I'd much rather use these competent, honest & reputable LOCAL folks, as to use one of the National Chain stores where the bottom line is their only concern. Thanks Affordable Car Care, Keep up the Outstanding Work !!!

This is the best car service in Powell Tennessee. Fortunately I found Affordable Car Care when we first moved to Knoxville. I have asked for recommendations at Auto Zone and they sent me to this honest Car Mechanics business.It is a very reassuring consideration to have a service like this and know they have earned their good reputation.Today I had one of my cars towed over to Affordable. I have had work done there for years and have been well satisfied with my service and results until today. I went to get my oil changed there this morning and was informed that they only had one tech today so it wasn t possible (that s reasonable my fault for not scheduling no big deal there). I had the oil changed there last (verified based on mileage and honestly this is where I get my oil changed so makes sense). Based upon my schedule I need to get it changed today, so I went somewhere else. While they were doing the oil change they let me know that the last place I got my oil changed had stripped my oil pan. The bolt was put on unlevel and then torqued in stripping the oil pan. So at this time I essentially have a car with no oil in it. They put on a temporary plug and finish. I go back here and verify that the mileage means this is the last place I got an oil change and what I get is well since it is already done we can t take responsibility for it. While I can understand the position what I have is a scenario where I only had 2 winning choices 1) have affordable be the one to find it and then be honest about it (I am unsure if I feel they would) or 2) before they took off the plug I would have needed someone to tell me before trying to get it off and then drive back and hope affordable car care would believe me. In essence I didn t have a lot of good options; furthermore, when I went back to affordable really all I got was it for sure someone else s fault and they couldn t take responsibility. I could have more reasonably come to intellectually understand her decision had I been granted some empathy towards my situation of being out hundreds of dollars. Obviously I didn t get a quote from them as there is at least a 50/50 chance that the fault lies on affordable s end. I get that mistakes happen and that they are running a business - I am reasonable, but not even an ounce of understanding and that makes the situation much worse. I didn t necessarily expect them to take full responsibility or even some (would that have been appreciated sure) - but less protecting yourself and more understanding of someone else s feelings/situation at the very least me leaving at least feeling as if I wasn t the issue would have been appreciated. Needless to say no more business from me as I have no trust anymore - that is unfortunate as before today I felt otherwise - now I don t have trust in their service both as mechanics and customer service soft skills.

Brought my mower in to see if they could change a pulley and literally they didn t bat an eye and Dylan came out and helped me and it took 5 min and no other shop in Powell would do this for me. I was traveling long distance and experienced issues with my brakes. I made a stop in Knoxville to (1) eat dinner and (2) inspect my brakes. I got off at Exit 374 and pulled into the Wings Etc. restaurant parking lot. I went inside and asked one of the employees where the nearest auto repair shop was located. I was informed the operator of the restaurant, Dwayne, owned Affordable Car Care. Dwayne came out to the parking lot and inspected my brakes and confirmed my fears. He advised me that I should not continue traveling. He contacted his wife, who manages the shop, to see if they could get me in the next day. They were booked, so Dwayne offered to do the work himself! I stayed the night at a local hotel and arrived at the shop at 8:00 a.m. Fortunately, there was a donut shop next door, Panthers Dough Joe (donuts are delicious). Once the parts were delivered to the shop, Dwayne had me on the road in about 45 minutes. On top of that, the price was very reasonable! God bless this man and his wife for taking care of me during my travels. I highly recommend this business!Service: Brakes

Very friendly and timely service. I had a coolant leak and no appointment but they took great care of me and fixed my problem and got me back on the road again. It was finished at the time promised. Great people to deal with. I'm definitely coming back when I need work done again.

On my passing through Tennessee my vehicle randomly shut off on I-75 around midnight, had a wrecker drop it off to Affordable Car Car about 1 in the morning. Not knowing the town or shop and it being a Friday with an overnight drop off, I was worried to be stranded for the weekend and not make it down to South Carolina for work. Called the shop first thing at 8:00am, the owner answered and expressed concern but also mentioned it was a busy morning already. I mentioned it did start up when we dropped it off but to be safe I wanted to see if it was the battery or alternator. I get a call at 10:30am and she explained how they ran it for 2hrs and monitored it but things seemed to run fine and to what I thought was the battery or alternator it wasn t. That s what they tested for and said all connections are good, even reconnected wires, put on a meter and everything was normal. Maybe it was just a fluke and coincidence, maybe it was something other than the battery or alternator. But that s what I asked to check and that s what they did. I walk in at 11am greeted with a smile and her to tell me I m not even going to charge y all . This is the first review I ever wrote and it s not because they didn t charge me, it s because I could tell that the business is ran with true values and genuine passion. Most places will scam or at the least charge for the time, this place was only concerned about fixing a problem and since there wasn t any she wouldn t take a payment. Thank you Affordable Car Care, I sure wish we had a place like y all back at home. God bless and may the new year be the best one yet for y all!2002 F150

I have had several things go wrong with my car recently. Affordable Car Care got me in, my car fix and back on the road ! They did excellent, quick, quality and AFFORDABLE service on my car. I can t rave enough about them!

A huge shout out and thank you to Tammy as well as the mechanics at Affordable Car Care next to Bojangles for fixing my car in such a short period of time. I had my automobile towed there last week after the unfortunate discovery that my brakes were not working. Tammy and the mechanics were quick to diagnose and fix what all was wrong with the car. She kept me informed every step of the way and not once tried to charge me for things I did not need. She was very honest and got me the best deal possible. I cannot speak highly enough of them and definitely recommend them if you are looking for an honest, reputable mechanic. Thank you Affordable Car Care!

I took my car in to have the brakes checked after doing some work on the car, because I was worried I broke something. They checked everything, found no problems, and didn't charge me.Very ethical and very honest.

Affordable car care is a place that you can go and trust them with the repair of your vehicle. I have used them 4 times for repairs on 2 separate vehicles. They are fast, efficient and trustworthy. I highly recommend them

I absolutely love Affordable Car Care!! I would recommend them to anyone who is in need of some car maintenance. Not only are all of the staff members very professional, but they are all also very personable and helpful!!! I love knowing that anytime I have an issue come up with my vehicle Tammy and all of the mechanics at the shop do there best to get any issues taken care of in a very timely manner as well as trying to help make everything as low in cost as possible! After getting work done with them gives me a better feeling of safety when I'm driving my vehicle....To Tammy and all of the great staff at ACC I want to say thank you for all you do for me and my family when it comes to our vehicle maintenance!! Your hard work is greatly appreciated and never taken for granted!! :)

The service I receive at affordable car care, is always exceptional. It is evident, in everything that they do, that their primary concern is for the customer and their safety. Personally, I have owned two Subaru s, a Honda, and a Lexus, and they have serviced each one extremely well. This business is run with integrity, and I know that anytime I am told of a repair that needs to be done, it sincerely does. I would highly recommend Affordable Car Care to anyone/everyone.

I picked my car up today after breaking down two nights ago in the parking lot at my job. Affordable Car Care was wonderful to work with and kept me informed of all repairs that were needed. I have lived in Powell for about a year and a half and had not yet needed any extensive car work. I am so glad that I found them and will now go to them for any car care.

Top notch work and extremely friendly staff. I thought my truck was more damaged than it was after getting quotes from other places for over $6000 to replace a rear end and new transfer case. They told me to wait on the transfer case, that it might be OK. After the axle was in, the truck ran fine. Seems the other shops wanted to make some extra profit off of selling me a transfer case.From my experience this week, I feel like this garage is very honest and saved me $1200. Friendly crew that I will definitely use for repairs in the future.Martin C.

Great auto shop, the people here are very kind and competent. My husband s family has been using this place for years, and we have followed suit. They always call to update us or ask our permission before anything is done to our vehicles, which we value. We are more than happy to take our vehicles here, and will continue to for many years.

My fianc� and I have gone here several times and had decent service. This last time, though, they took four hours to change her oil, check her belts, and check her tire pressure. We had scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance so it wasn t as if we just dropped in. Four hours for that kind of work makes it pointless to go here. They are very kind people, but their speed of work is not very good.

We were taking a family vacation to Fla from Ohio and our car broke down just outside of Knoxville. After calling a few repair shops we settled on Affordable Car Care. They stayed late to evaluate our car and then even drove us to the rental car place to get our car. They were some of the nicest people I have ever worked with. They even came in when they were closed to let us pick up our car on the way home from vacation. Thank you guys so much!

Fantastic people! Very professional and won't stop until the work is done RIGHT. The owner, Dwayne takes a personal interest in everything that is done to your vehicle. Tammi (the BOSS) is extremely knowledgeable and caring. I have my personal vehicles under their care and NEVER have to worry about Affordable Car Care doing everything possible to fix even the smallest problem. Great place. Honest.

I've been using Affordable Car Care for several years now, and they have always taken good care of me. The first time I went there, one of their mechanics had to stay over to finish up the work on my vehicle, and afterward I watched Dwayne hand over the full labor cost to the mechanic to make up for his having to stay late. This is a man who takes care of his employees, and that alone convinced me to go to them time and time again. When my serpentine belt had to get replaced, they took care of it quickly, and a couple months later when the same problem came up they fixed it again for free. This is the only place in Knoxville I will ever consider going to for any car repairs and maintenance I need.

Alternator went out while traveling, Affordable Car Care worked me in and 1 1/2 hours later I was on my way. Great, friendly people work there. Many thanks for making my experience a good one.
