My wife and I first bought a 2012 Grand Caravan from these good people. When we took the deal sheet to the bank, we learned we bought it with over $2,000 of equity in it which is very rare in used autos. It has been a great vehicle. A few months ago, I bought a 1998 F150 from them once again at a great price with low mileage. However, about a month later it had some problems. Though they were within their rights to remind me I bought it as is with no warranty, instead they went out of their way in helping rectify the issue. The truck runs great now, and we will not shop anywhere else. I highly recommend Roan County Auto.

Nice people. However, don't expect any help from them after a sale is made. I bought a Kia Soul here and three days later it produced codes for a bad catalytic converter. Roane offered no help except to suggest that auto technicians at two different garages don't know how to read OBD2 codes.

I purchased a car from Roane County Auto Sales in October 2018. I had been following their website for some time and noticed really nice vehicles at reasonable prices. I was looking for a safe, dependable car for my daughter to drive to college. This is what I told the salesman/owner when we went to look at the car. I needed something safe. I asked specifically several times if the car had been wrecked and was told no and shown the Autocheck report that showed no accidents reported. After a test drive, the airbag light went off. I was assured that was just a sensor, and no big deal. A week later I took the car to the Hyundai dealer to be looked over. Immediately, I was informed that the vehicle had been wrecked. The hood would need to be replaced so in the event of another accident it would crumple properly. And the airbag would need to be checked and replaced because it had been deployed during the first accident, but not properly repaired or reset. I called Roane County Auto Sales and asked the dealer for help or to take the car back, but the dealer only offered to have their mechanic look over the problem. This would be the same mechanic that didn't inform them that the car had been wrecked in the first place. The same mechanic that didn't change the oil because it didn't look bad enough. When we got the oil changed I was told it was the worst they had ever seen. I declined the offer of help from their mechanic. Repairs totaled an extra $2000. This was at a local car shop that charges much less than an actually dealership.Roane County Auto Sales website says that they want the customer to leave happy--I was not happy. The car has been repaired and is now safe to drive, but I feel lied to. I really wanted to like this place, I really did, but sadly I would not recommend dealing with Roane County Auto Sales unless you are willing to not know the complete truth about your vehicle and are willing to risk paying more out in repair costs.

I got a nice looking car at a great price. With no data as to its accident history and sawdust in one front bearing. It only cost me $100 to get my mechanic to fix the bearing, but it's still impossible for an undoctored bearing to go from great to SQUEAL in less than 100 miles. So I got a great car. I still have some wiring and the front bumper to fix.

Roane Co Auto Sales is an off the beaten path family own lot that is well worth the 30 minute drive. I got a 2012 Equinox w/82k miles for $7900. I got a great car for at least $2.5k less than anywhere else did in an hour and half drive of Knoxville. I know, because I search for over a month. Plus the taxes are third less in Roane than Knox County. RCAS doesn t have any stupid dealer add-on fees. If you couldn t guess by now, I am totally satisfied with my experience. Thank Karen and Russell.

WORST CAR LOT EVER!! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY WERE AWFUL.. The man and woman who own/run this car lot was very rude and impatient with us. We wanted to buy a nissan Altima from them that we saw posted on Craigslist so we went too look at it for the 1st time and they was very anxious for us to look and go so we left and went back a 2nd time to test drive it and do some research on the car and they acted irritated. We thought maybe they was just having a bad day so we kinda ignored it and scheduled to come back the next day to look it over thoroughly and possibly buy it. We came back the next day to buy (3rd time I remind you) and we noticed a few service lights were on so we questioned what they were and raised the hood to look at the motor and the lady told us not too touch anything and if we wasn't going to buy the car now she was going to call another lady who wanted it to come get it that she wasn't waiting on us too look at the car all night She had her 3 grandkids there that were hungry and she needed to feed them. I then told her we wasn't trying to be there all night either we had our 2 kids there with us as well that were hungry we just want to be sure nothing is wrong with the car before buying. We didn't want to buy the car without thoroughly checking it out as anyone buying a used car would do. Then her husband showed up and 1st thing he said to us when he approached us was he wasn't staying there all night for us too look the car over, I then told him we had just got there and we just wanted to look at the engine and make sure nothing was knocking or no oil was leaking etc...as anyone would do before purchasing a used car. He immediately started talking over me and told us all his cars was in excellent shape and he was tired of fooling with us We had been there 3 times to look at the car and hadn't bought it yet and he wasn't staying late for us too look the car over (with tobacco juice all over his beard I remind you) I then said to him we didn't get too look the car over the first 2 times we came because they was rushing us to leave. We got off work early and everything to get there early (4:30)and that was how we got treated. Apparently something was bad wrong with the car otherwise why was it such a big deal that we wanted to pop the hood and look the car over thoroughly?? The man then told us we either wanted it or we didn't he had to go we told him if that was how he did business we didn't want it he then slammed the hood of the car and said ok fine and walked away. Never in my life have we been treated with such disrespect at a car lot. They were very rude and pushy! And apparently hiding something about that car. We will never do business with them and if your smart neither will you! If I could rate them a zero I would! They were very unprofessional and just flat out rude! Besides the Altima all the other cars looked like junk but in the pics online they look a lot diffrent. Just fyi... Don't waist your time with these people of you read some of there other reviews on diffrent sites people that have purchased cars from them 2 weeks later had it in the shop. I can't vouch for those reviews but I can mine and we will never recommend them to anyone!

I bought a used car from Russell Lampley. It broke down days after the purchase. The ignition module had been temporarily disabled so the car ran and Mr. Lampley did not disclose information about the defect at the time of purchase. Mr. Lampley refuses to help fix the defective product he sold me. We consulted our attorney and it will cost him more in litigation fees than it would to do the ethically right thing and offer to pay half the cost of the repairs. Do not buy a car from this man unless you want to risk the same thing happening to you.
