We were driving through town on our way to Asheville and our car was acting funky. We pulled in about half an hour before they closed on a Friday, and they fully checked the car out for us. They told us we got bad gas and recommended how to fix it. Thank y'all so much for your kindness and generosity!

Professional and personable. Each member of the team is geared toward bringing your car back to proper performance. They will save you money in the long run. First, if it isn t fixable they will tell you. You will have an estimate prior to the work starting. I trust their integrity and will continue to use them for all future repairs.

Steven and his mechanic are wonderful. They helped me out (stranded motorist) with my car repair (spark plugs and coils). So grateful for such mechanic knowledge and kindness. Highly, highly recommend!

Had a rock in my right front rotor, thinking it was something major, they removed it for free. Honest workmanship! I've bought four sets of tires from them, and the work is always stellar. They are the best in Newport!

They did a good job, it was a couple hours wait but I calculated my savings per hour compared to the "quick lube" shops and I made pretty good money! The price was very fair and in my estimation a good value. If you're looking for a fancy waiting area this isn't the place. But it's clean, and remember, this is a mechanic shop, not Starbucks.

Chose the Pitstop for an oil change after reading reviews online. Awesome experience super friendly people. And you can't beat a $50 oil change! In Texas, we paid well over a hundred dollars for an oil change. Will definitely be return customers. Finding an honest mechanic is no small task, but I think we hit the jackpot with Newport Pitstop!Thanks for being awesome :)

My brakes went out. Had Newport Pitstop pick it up & diagnose it. Was told it was the whole rear end. The cost to get it running was over $1000. To fix it right was over $2000.Had it towed home because I couldn't afford that then it turned out to be the master cylinder & the total cost was a couple hundred!Need I say more!?!

My husband was so thankful for the help he received from the men who worked here. We were out of town visiting my son and they were quick and very honest. Their repairs are also very reasonablely priced.

What an awesome experience! My car broke down on the way to Nashville Tennessee with myself, and three of my girlfriends. We were stranded on the side of the road two hours from home. We were able to walk to Newport Pitstop where we were greeted by Stephen. After explaining our situation to Stephen, he reassured us that he could help us out. He immediately called a friend who towed our car to the business. The team diagnosed the issue, which was the alternator. Stephen located an alternator, had it picked up and installed within a couple of hours. We so appreciate the excellent service and kindness displayed by everyone at this business. We commend Stephen for his excellent customer service and kindness. He went out of his way to ensure that we were taken care of and back on the road to enjoy our girls trip to Nashville. Not sure about how much I was charged but these days stuff is expensive. The man said he cut me a break on the bill on a few things so whatever. However they didn't complete my list of things to do on my vehicle. Seem like a good group of guys though. Maybe just forgot all that I needed. I don't know.

Worst experience with a tire shop in my life. For a business that sells wheels, they will scratch your wheels bad and not stand by their work.They scratched my wheels all around the rim and they are black wheels so it stands out like a sore thumb. Called them as soon as I got home and no one but the owner handles problems. I said here is the issue. My name and phone number. Nothing. I called several times, nothing. Went by the shop, again, no one could handle it.And on top of the scratches, the balance is not correct so now I have to pay another shop to balance my beat up wheels.DO NOT DARE GO NEAR THIS PLACE. WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK.Drive to another town to get any work done. If the owner was honest, he would call me back and make this right.I'm not gonna hold my breath..Update !!!!Went by the business and had a gentleman take pictures of the scratched wheels with his word that the owner would get in contact with me for a solution to my scratched wheels. Almost a week later, Nothing... I'm tired of calling trying to fix where they screwed up. If the owner reads this, you have my name and number. Call and leave me a message if you want to make this right.Never heard back. Avoid this trash business at all costs. Never, ever recommend going here. Where you at owner ??? CALL ME !!Service: Tires

Terrible place. Took them an hour to tell me they couldn t change my oil. Also on a different job, took them 2.5 months to fix my brothers vehicle and they never knew what was going on. Anytime we would ask, they would reply with I don t know or my fingers are crossed they might as well have just used duct tape to hold the job together. When they gave the car to my brother and told him it was safe to drive, it only made it 40 minutes before completely shutting down. Another mechanic told us that the job that Newport pit stop did was so bad that it could ve exploded and hurt him or worse, killed him. They obviously don t know what they re doing. The engine had hoses and wires not connected to anything (like they were supposed to be) and no coolant in it. Honestly if you value your vehicle and your safety or anyone who rides in your vehicle. Stay very far away from this place.

Had a problem with a lug nut today and stopped in for help, after I had tried everything myself only hitting dead ends. They took me right in and were able to fix the problem in 5 minutes. My hat is off to them! Highly recommend because the customer service was phenomenal!!! Can't thank them enough.

In August of 2021 the guys at pit stop did a pretty good job replacing a water pump for my 2015 Ram, so I have to give them credit for that job. As owner of MangoRock I depend on that truck!However and this is a big however!I was having trouble again with the water pump,So I took it by and talked with S........He simply said come back next Monday,So I came back, he said come back Thursday, I came back Thursday,He said you'll have to come back next week,I shook his hand and when I walked out I simply said you people have now lost my business and when I give a review I'm going to share exactly what happened!The truck ended up breaking down on my way from Morristown to Newport,Tennessee and rather than deal with people that don't have a clue on how to run their business, I was towed to Westgate tire and Auto, which did a magnificent job, they now have a customer for life!They understand what customer service is all about.As far as pit stop I will never walk in that place again!Find a way to honor your word!Or get out of business period!Now I don't have a clue who the owner is and I really don't care but don't tell me if you are the owner that you can't understand.I came,And I came againI will never come back and I'm not the only one that has that opinion in Cocke countyIf I ran my company the way you run your company it would have been out of business a long time ago!

First, I must say that I've been doing business with Newport Pitstop for over 5 years now. I've moved away, about a hour or so away, and still make sure our vehicles go here to be serviced and to get oil changes done. I've never not been satisfied, never been overcharged, never treated unfairly, never felt like anyone was being dishonest. The communication has been good and much appreciated. I've been very happy here knowing that my vehicles will be properly taken care of here. Yall are awesome!!! Excellent service Excellent experience!My mechanic was the bomb.com! If he didnt know something he would research and peer question to learn to fix it. Front desk man was super sweet. I only go here for my car! Fixed anything from brakes and rotors to valve covers and system sensors. All around great guys!

I was having a problem with my car. They done a thousand dollars of front end work. The car was still the same. They told me it was a motor mount and would be another $800 to fix. I took it to another shop. The problem was the driver side wheel axle was broke. They replaced the passenger side. They should had checked the other side. Car was not safe to drive in that condition. They took my thousand dollars and sent me home in that condition. They didn't even drive the car. When I told them I did not have $800 more then they were like well let us drive it and make sure. Really, but you just told me the problem was a motor mount. You are supposed to be the professionals right? The other shop got me back on the road for $154.28. Car runs great now. Imagine if I paid the $800 for that motor mount. The car still would not had been safe to drive. Psh.... unreal. I will never be back.Service: Steering & suspension repair

My actual name is Kimberly Cowart-Hensley, a couple of months ago, my car broke down a few days before Christmas, and I had to leave it at a family members home, my daughter mentioned this business had done a good job on her car when she used them, so I called and asked if I could have my car towed to them, he answered honestly and said that he was a bit understaffed at the moment, but I could have it brought in and he would get to it ASAP. I had my 2012 Chrysler 200 brought in, the next day he had already looked at the car and found the problem, fuel throttle control and my battery was dead. I was called and updated before they did anything to my car, and I was told the price of the parts I needed as well. Within 48 hours they had my car fixed up, and even gave me a discount on the final price! I was very satisfied with the results and would recommend using them to anyone
