We broke down yesterday after overheating. We pulled off exit 440 and into the parking lot at the 78 gas station next to Grooms. We called and asked if they had any openings and they told us to come on over. Everyone there was very kind. The man who helped us ran a pressure test, as we had a coolant leak and determined that a masterlock broke off of someone's trailer or something and found its way into our radiator. Definitely made an inconvenient situation less stressful, and we were treated like we were part of the family while we waited for the tow truck.

We are from out of town and broke down. Looked up auto repair companies on Google. I chose Grooms Auto Repair because they had 24/7 repair times and we needed to get back on the road. I called him and he gave me the number of a tow company. They were there in less than 30 min and were very affordable. Grooms was very knowledgeable and fixed our truck. Grooms also text me several times to let me know what was going on. After fixing the truck he even drove the truck back to where we were staying at 11:00 PM. We have a mechanic at home we have used for 30 years and had been in contact with him. He told us around how much it would cost. My husband I were holding our breath when Grooms gave us the bill because it was after normal hours. We were pleasantly surprised. He was a little cheaper than our mechanic. We drove the truck home pulling our RV for 8 hours and it is running beautifully. Thank you so much Grooms Auto Repair.

We had a RV trailer hitch that got bent pulling out of the local RV campground and we could not re-attach our sway bars nor would the rv go back onto the hitch until it was back in place. It was on a Saturday and the owner answered the phone and had the correct tools and was able to make the necessary adjustments and get us back on the road. If not for him we would have been stuck until Monday or would have to buy a new hitch.Thank you for the services!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I RECOMMEND. Please don't judge by the place. The person who checked my car was great. It was a little hard to communicate, but he checked my car like a professional and had it all good in less than 10 minutes.Show appreciation and gratitude to all who get their card fixed in the future. We got a nail in our tire while taking 4 kids to camp on a Sunday. This was the only shop in a 60 mile radius we could find that was open and able and willing to help us. The owner and his wife were so sweet and got us back on the road in no time. The price was super reasonable and they treated us great. Would highly recommend.

Fixed my breaks ,Also he changed my Oil! At A Great prices Compared to others Garages... Very Nice People.. Hopefully i wont be seeing them soon But If So This Will Be The Garage I Bring my 19 Toyota Tacoma Limited.... Great Shop!!!!

I've certainly left reviews about awful mechanic experiences so in comparison Groom's was incredible. On our friend's birthday over an hour out of town our van broke down. Slim really saved the day. He made that 36 hours trapped in town more manageable than I can explain in a simple 5 star review. Support local businesses. It makes America what it is. They put in genuine heart, compassion & are extremely knowledgeable.

We flew down from Michigan to buy a truck and a couple hours of driving it we broke down late on a Saturday evening when everything was closed. Thankfully by chance we were towed to Grooms. One of Roger s guys was walking in with the part we needed as we arrived. Roger, Christian and his crew were so hospitable and kind. They were so smart, knowledgeable and honest. A moment that could have felt like a nightmare became hopeful thanks to them. Not only did they come to the rescue but what they charged us was reasonable and fair. Thanks so much to you all!

The owner of this auto repair shop is Heaven sent. Returning home from bringing my son to the marine base in North Carolina my wife, my three year old and I had a tire blow out. We called him around 11 PM and he said come on over He is a dad of 5 and runs his shop 24/7 days a week. I ve traveled 7 states and never had a issue on the road that didn t cost me double or more especially almost midnight. He s the only 24 hour auto repair shop that I could find online at that time of night. He definitely treats you like family and is 10 times cheaper than anyone I ve ever been to!

We had a flat and changed to the spare and the spare blew the valve stem out. We were at the Wilton Springs exit TN beside the interstate and we live in SC. We had no idea how to get help at 10 pm. We called this place after a Google search and he came right out to help! We are so thankful for him and his helper. He wasn t even going to charge hardly anything for helping us! This is a true example that there is still good people in this world. Thank you soooo much!Service: Tires

Literally saved the day after my radiator blew on my cherished Astro Van. Got us in late in the afternoon. Slim drove us to our air bnb, got the replacement radiator around noon and had us on the road by 4. Turned what could have been a nightmare into a slight inconvenience.Cannot recommend these guys anymore, wish I didn't live over an hour away or they would be my regular mechanics no question.

Had a tire issue on the way back home, they were able to get us taken care of quick on a Sunday afternoon. They were friendly, thorough, and honest. I wish I didn t live 11 hours away from this shop so I could go to him anytime I had car troubles! Thank you for saving us from an even bigger mess we would have gotten into farther down the road!

I couldn t be any more thankful and appreciative. The crew at Grooms Auto made sure we were ok. They were so welcoming and personable at such a bad time for my family and the time of night! Mr. Ahole, Slim, and the family made sure we felt safe he also made sure to be as careful and efficient and possible. They explained everything every step of the way! We pulled up to their shop late at night 5 hours into our 12 drive due to a tire we bought earlier that day from the tire man in atl blowing out after the man lied and sold us snow tires in 90 degree weather. When we told them what happened he assured us that he would get us back up onto the road so we can make it home safely. They contacted us to make sure we made it all the way back to pgh pa ok with the children and dogs.They genuinely care about their customers and doing great work on any vehicle that visits their shop. Their prices are very reasonable! He charged us less than we expected and did the best work on the car! We couldn t have been more blessed to come across this shop. They are really angels of mercy! Also their 2 fur babies tater tot and droopy were even loving and welcoming we felt like a part of the family for the brief time we were there at the shop! They even contacted us to make sure we made all the way back home to Pgh pa. I d totally recommend. Alternator failed on car while traveling right before heading into the gorge of I-40E. Roger was AWESOME! He came to us ASAP, had it replaced and assisted with another issue as well in less than an hour and got us back on the road without over charging. Thank you for the honest, quick and impeccable timing and pricing for your service!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough, I want to shout it from the rooftops. We do not remember the name of the owner of this business, but he had Mr, Asshole nicely embroidered on his shirt. Well, he was anything but that! He was our guardian angel, and if we could have him work on all our vehicles from now on, we would. Problem is is this business is 2 hours from our home. We were coming back from a reunion and our alternator in our Chevy Express died 6:30 pm on a Sunday night. Thankfully we were able to pull off the highway into a gas station that felt like it was out in the middle of nowhere. We were told by AAA it would cost $640 to tow our van back home, and were about to go that route when I decided to Google car repair shops. Providentially, this business popped up first. This guy was super responsive (I could not believe he answered the phone on a Sunday night), drove to the gas station we were stalled at, charged up our battery enough to get to his shop, and proceeded to fix our van right on the spot. We were absolutely blown away. He also charged us a fraction of the cost of a normal alternator replacement. I mean, the cost was laughably low. We were able to arrive safely home that night, all because of him. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Mr. Asshole , you are a rarity in a day when everyone is just looking out for themselves. You definitely went above and beyond for your fellow man that night.

We had a blow out on the interstate. 3 hours from home and 8pm at night. The guy was nice enough to get us a tire and put it on. Just on principle the place gets 5 stars. He coulda told me to go fly a kite or come back tomorrow. You could tell he'd been working all day. But no, he got us back on the road safe and we made it home. That speaks volumes!!!

My wife and I were heading back home on Sunday from a trip from NC to Northern KY (5 hour drive) and we had problems as soon as we got on the road. We called Grooms Auto and they had us come in. Very nice and good people, had us taken care of quickly and we made it home! Happy birthday Daisy :)

Roger and his team are absolutely amazing! We were traveling to Gatlinburg from SC and hit a pot hole which bent our rim, Roger and his guys called around for hours trying to help us find a rim. These people will give you the shirt off of their backs! There are still good people in this world and you ll find some of them at Grooms Auto!Service: Tires

I got a flat tire last weekend. It was late and Roger helped me to ask for a new tire on the phone. However, the new tire in stock was expensive. He was honest and kind to tell me that I could drive Jefferson City for tire changed on the coming Monday morning. He didn't only charge me, but also helped me to find out which roads are safer for me to drive home. I recommend him sincerely. He is really helpful and honest shop owner. Thank you so much! Roger!

We were in a pickle with our tire going low while sight seeing on a remote gravel road. We just happened to have a small air pump to get us to a point of cellular reception where we were able to look up someone who was able to help us. We were under the impression we would have to go to his shop, but to our surprise Roger came to us. He was friendly, professional, and efficient. Who would have known that a tiny little rock would have caused our tire issue. Glad it did though, we were able to meet Roger and see his quality of work. We are already looking forward to having him do future repairs.Service: Tires

I have to say that I'm always skeptical about going to a new mechanic. I found out pretty quick that he knows what he's doing. My car was towed from my house, repaired, and delivered back to my house at a reasonable price (I live 5 minutes away from the shop). You've earned my trust Roger. The value of trust is far greater than a paycheck. Oh.....I didn't mention the 24/7 service. I'm not sure how he manages that but it's impressive. 6 out of 5 stars.

I can't say enough good about the way these folks do business. I had to have my car towed here and the staff was professional, courteous, timely, patient, and kind the throughout the whole experience, really putting my mind at ease. They replaced my starter for me and I was back in business. The price was very fair. I'll definitely be back, thanks y'all!

Saturday afternoon (4:00) near Newport Tennessee had issue with loosing power steering fluid. Was able to get it over the Grooms. What I thought was a major leak (Rack & pinion) turned out to be a pressure sensor. Met Roger and Morgan at the shop, Morgan climbed under the car and found the issue right away. What great guys, honest and just wanted to help us get back on the road. This was on the way home from vacation and about 600 miles to go. We got the part the next day within a few minutes we were back on the road...thanks Morgan!!Service: Steering & suspension repair

We were visiting from Florida when I noticed all of my coolant kept leaking out. He was the closest one, so I called immediately. From start to finish, he carefully and thoroughly went over every inch trying to locate the leak. He ended up fixing 2 things. As a woman, I've noticed many mechanics (at least in my area) try to oversell and fix things that don't need fixing. He was so nice and my car ran perfectly the whole 12 how drive home. I definitely recommend him

I cannot say enough good things about the quick service received from Roger at Grooms Auto. My 18 year old son was traveling from Kentucky to South Carolina and hit a pothole on the highway that damaged his tire and caused him to have to exit the highway. Stuck on a gravel road, my boy sent me his location and Google led me to Grooms Auto. Roger was able to locate him and repair his tire at an extremely reasonable rate. It is difficult to know your kid is stranded a few hundred miles away, but it makes it easier to know there are small businesses like this to help ease the worries.Service: Tires

Had a screw in my tire coming back from vacuum. He plugged it and aired it up quickly and was very inexpensive. He was kind and super helpful. He got us back on the road in less than 20 minutes!!Service: TiresService: Tires

Highly recommend! We were traveling 5 hrs from home when our brakes went out at this exit. On a Saturday night at 6pm. We thank God for this auto shop that not only answered our call but proceeded to get us back on the road as quick as they could. Awesome guys!
