Immediately very good first impression. We have not picked our car back up yet, so I will update this review a little later down the line once we have driven the car some more; However, we called some time around 9 this morning asking about a diagnosis on a car issue and hopefully some repairs done. the tech was very friendly and helpful over the phone (I am terrible with names, I apologize) and said to bring the car in at any time and they'd get us worked on quickly. We were more comfortable with having our car towed rather than risk breaking down on Nashville roads, so they connected us to a towing company that they work with. Tow truck had our car to Precision by about 11:45 am or so, and we had an initial diagnosis around an hour after that. One repair + a couple of chain reaction repairs after and we have a solved problem (+ a requested oil change) by 3:30 and a very reasonable bill all things considered. This was all handled while we were at work and we were not really affected at all schedule wise. Tow truck driver only needed me outside for a minute, and Precision was VERY fast on the turn around time! (Tow truck driver was also very friendly and helpful!)Writing this as of 12/19/2023, we're picking the car back up tomorrow morning and I will update this review in a week or two!

I am getting ready to drive across the USA in the winter and stopped in on a Saturday to get my car checked out. The shop did a complete check on my car and told me what great shape my car was in (giving me a long list of everything they checked). Given I am a female who will be driving across the country, they could have found all sorts of things wrong for me to replace. Instead, they reassured me my car will be fine and gave me some very useful tips. Christoper Fowle even told me if I wanted to drop by again before I left town he would show me how to install tire chains on my car (chains are required for some areas I will be passing through).I cannot recommend them more. Thank you for the great service and the reassurance!

This team has been nothing but helpful, honest, and kind to us every time we've brought a vehicle to them over the past several years. It's hard to find a mechanic shop that will shoot you straight and provide guidance when your car is having issues. I can't tell you how much money we have saved by going to Precision Tune on Charlotte Pike.

I bring my car here specifically because Chris and Mike are so good at what they do. They are extremely knowledgeable and always work with me so I understand what is going on with my car and how I can better take care of it.I also appreciate that they will give me a parts list and allow me save money by buying my own parts!

I unfortunately wasn't able to get my vehicle worked on here for reasons I previously described. However, I appreciate that they acknowledged my comment and I'm sure that - if I had gotten service here - it would have been great as the other comments below have consistently said.

My tacoma was riding rough and noisy. I had had a few favorable experiences with PTAC So stopped by. After a two minute road test Chris determined the truck had a worn motor mount. He suggested I replace both sides to keep the truck balanced and level. Remembering I would need tires soon I suggested he mount four new ones while TPAC had the truck. When I returned to pick it up, TPAC had installed the wrong tires. Believing Chris would "do right" I paid the $1800 in cash. He assured me he would get the correct tires and mount them on my truck as soon as they arrived. He also showed me where the tires came with a $70 rebate and he would get me the paperwork for the rebate. It took a while for replacement tires to arrive but they did and PTAC installed them....no additional cost which was a nice gesture. But repeated request to Chris for an invoice showing the correct tires have been installed and the rebate coupon have gone unanswered. Other than to say the rebate program "has ended" Chris has offered no explanation as to why PTAC will not issue an invoice or honor the rebate promise. Perhaps the rebate coupon has been "redeemed" by someone? Makes you wonderServices: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Brakes

We really, REALLY wanted to like this place. However, this last experience was the last straw. Customer BEWARE.To start, A couple years ago I brought my Chevy trax in because I was afraid I had a leak in my coolant system (my tank completely emptied after I had refilled it). They assured me they ran a test and there was no leak. A week or so later I had to get $1000 in repairs because I DID have a coolant leak and it leaked all over my engine. I should ve learned my lesson then.Fast-forward to this June. I felt the death rattle in my jeep wrangler so I took it in. They told me I needed new brakes, brake lines, and brake pads, as well as new tires. I had them do all of this, and got new tires the same day at discount tire. A day later, my ABS and TLC lights would come on when I pulled out of my driveway in the morning, and my brakes would engage not allowing me to go over 10 mph.So we took it back to precision. The next afternoon we called and the guy, who apparently owns the shop but knows nothing about cars according to the mechanic Chris, said it was because the tires were too big. We told him they were the same size tires we ve had on it for the past 2 years and the same tires that came with the stock Jeep W 2017. He said he would have Chris look at it in the morning. The next afternoon we called and Chris said it was because the right passenger brake lines were poorly installed and he fixed it. We picked it up, and it was still having the same issue. We brought it in again. We called the next afternoon and Chris said now it was because the back left ABS sensor needed to be replaced. So he did that. We picked it up the next day and he didn t charge us because the part didn t cost that much .The problem is still happening. We called Chris, once again, only this time he said he actually never replaced the ABS sensor, he just cleaned it off, and the issue is that there s a lot of rust that keeps building up and covering the sensors so that he will clean them off next week. He said Itll probably keep happening though because they don t know what s causing all of the rust build up.That doesn t make sense for a number of reasons. My jeep has 50,000 miles on it, and has NEVER had this issue, not once, before having my brakes replaced. Now it s having it EVERY DAY. How is it Now suddenly having rust build up so frequently and so much that the ABS sensors have to be professionally cleaned weekly?Secondly, Chris told us the first time the issue was the brake lines on the front passenger, and then he changed his mind when we brought it back and said it was the ABS sensor on the back right, and then he LIED and said he replaced it when he actually, as he stated today, just cleaned off the rust.We are not bringing our jeep back for the 4th time in 1 month. This place will BS you and straight up lie about what the did/replaced. Now I m wondering if they even replaced my brake lines/pads. We are going to another mechanic tomorrow to actually get this problem fixed and I ll update this review if they find anything else precision lied about.DONT WASTE YOUR TIME LIKE WE DID.***UPDATE: took it to Wilson tire and auto and they actually DID replace the ABS sensor and had the jeep back to me in a day. No problems since. Looks like Precision was wrong & the stock tires aren t too big for the jeep and nothing is causing rust to build on my ABS so I don t need to bring it in weekly to get cleaned off like they said. Shocker. But If precision had actually done what they SAID they did (replace the abs) i wouldn t have had to bring it in 4 times and end up going somewhere else

Trust is everything when it comes to an auto shop. We ve brought our cars to Chris for years and could never go anywhere else! His experience is invaluable and he treats his customers like humans, not just an invoice. He was our first call when were looking for a new car because he knows the good, bad and ugly of every make and model. We can t recommend this team enough!

Our experience with this Precision Tune Auto Care has been TERRIBLE. On June 24th our car died on the side of the road. We had it towed to the nearest auto shop which happened to be this place. The owner, Chris, acted like our best buddy and we initially felt assured that our car was in good hands. Over 8 weeks and $4500 later, we were able to pick up our car only to have it die AGAIN on the side of the road one month later. Because our car was still under warranty, we reluctantly had it towed back to Precision Tune Auto Care where it has remained for 6 weeks now. Through this entire ordeal, Chris has dodged most of our calls and we are ALWAYS the ones who have to call him. He NEVER calls us with any kind of update. He has assured us on three different occasions that our car will be done on a certain date, only for us to call on that date and be told it won t be done for a few more days. Chris told us weeks ago that he has the parts to fix our car but he doesn t have the employees. I understand being short staffed and I feel like we ve been more than kind, understanding, and patient. At this point, I feel like Chris is taking advantage of our kindness and intentionally putting other jobs ahead of ours. I hope we never have to do business with this place again.Service: Engine repair

Great shop and great people. I wound up having my Jeep renegade towed there from Elizabethtown Kentucky Chris confirmed the engine was blown. I found a used engine and had it shipped there and Chris kept me informed along the way and was a real pleasure to deal with. They re honest and stand by their work! I highly recommend them.

Always amazing! Chris always takes great care of my vehicle when I come in. Also, runs reports and lets me know what recalls or anything that may be going on with my car. I also like the way he takes care of the woman and elderly clients that come in. That is rare in this kind of business. I won't take my car anywhere else.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Oil changeServices: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Oil change

I never leave reviews but this one is definitely necessary. I can t express how grateful I am for Chris and his wisdom and honesty relating to the industry and my vehicle. I first had to get it towed there on a Saturday and while others were hesitant, Chris was super polite and happy to make it work out. He then immediately knew a ton of information about my Volkswagen Tiguan and how the vehicle operates/what to look out for which no mechanic has ever been so helpful on in 7 years. Fast forward a week, and a coolant issue which another shop had told me was fine 1 month ago happens to need a ton of work. Chris honestly pointed out the issues and gave me other recommendations if I felt it was too much. He even went so far to answer questions that helped me get a plan in place for other options.Just want to say thank you to Chris and team. I ve only used them twice unfortunately in 2 weeks (not related to them) and they have done an incredible job earning my trust. I ve already recommend them to plenty of friends. Thanks again!

Probably the best vehicle service we have ever received. My husband went to three different places to find out what was wrong with his car. Discount tires, Budget Brakes, and even the Honda dealership itself. Budget brakes wanted almost $900 to fix issues that didn't even exist the Honda dealership wanted about $1200 for issues that did not exist. We took it over here based on reviews and I am so glad we did. The most honest and helpful folks I have ever encountered - especially dealing with cars. The only thing that was a necessity was for my husband to get front brakes. From there Chris explained what else we would need to do to the car and gave us a round about time frame we should complete it in. Chris took us out to my husbands car and explained what they did and educated us on what we would need to do in the future. He gave us quotes for the future items we would need and advised us on how much to expect to pay in the future. Completely honest establishment they could have replaced all brakes and rotors and charged us for them and they didn't because we didn't need all of that work done. I am beyond excited to now know we have a wonderful place to take both our vehicles to for future service! So glad we found you guys :)

I'm beyond grateful for the level of customer support provided by Chris and his team. They go beyond any level of mechanics I've ever experienced. I've been a customer at this Precision Tune for 20 years. Chris runs a tight ship here at Precision Tune. Very friendly service. Chris goes out of his way to keep you as a customer. My friend had an accident with a parking lot pole. It caused a tire rub. Going on a road trip soon and needed a temporary fix until the car can be taken to the body shop. I called Chris and he told me to come on down this afternoon and he would work me in and take car of it. I stopped in at 3pm and by 3:30 Chris fixed it himself. I tried to pay him and he said no charge for a regular customer. Chris said it only took 5 minutes and not to worry. He also gives me good referrals for tires body shops and whatever I may need done. If you have a old car that needs to be kept on the road or a newer Kia with an extended warranty Chris's Precision Tune is certified to do all the work you need done. He's always trying to save his customers money on all repairs. Very Trustworthy shop.

Used this place as a last resort because the dealership and another mechanic couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car. They are very thorough with diagnosis and Chris's knowledge is so deep about cars it's scary. Finding a reliable source to fix your car when you move to a new city can be a stressful task. I'm sure glad I found Chris at Precision Tune Auto Care. I've been taking my Jeep here for several years. No matter how big or small the issue Chris always make sure to take the time to educate you on the issue and gives extremely affordable estimates on getting it fixed. I recently had an issue with my drivers side mirror and Chris was able to fix it quickly at no charge. As long as I live in Nashville I will not take my Jeep anywhere else. Highly recommended.

I had to get a catalytic converter replaced. Precision Tune did it for significantly less than Ford was going to charge me. They were incredibly kind, professional, and informative. They had my car back to me the next day. They called me to update me on everything that they found and then let me know what to expect with my new part AND how to send my warranty in for my new catalytic converter. A+++++ service. I will continue to go here for any cars repairs and recommend it to anyone who asks.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My car starter died and the AAA tech recommended Precision. I called Precision the next morning and they replaced my starter that day! Their quote was $150 less than the other shops I called, and Chris, the manager, called a few different suppliers to source the part I needed at the lowest price. Really appreciate that extra step to save me money. Plus, they have a great warranty (2 years/24,000 miles). I highly recommend!

I arrived early (about 10, 15 minutes before opening) on Saturday, September 2, 2017. I wanted to have them check my brakes and determine where the rattling sound was coming from.Chris at the counter was perfect for his position. He explained everything and was personable and caring. The Hispanic man who was my mechanic also explained everything, making me feel confident he would do an excellent job in replacing my front brakes. He told me my heat shields were loose and causing the rattling and he would try to keep them from rubbing by putting cardboard in between. I asked about tire rotation since my wheels were already off and he said he would do it for free. I appreciated that both he and Chris told me I could go online and order front struts much cheaper than they could get them through Napa.Although it took a bit longer than anticipated (over four hours), I felt it was worth it for the service aspect. I know more than several good auto shops in town, however, some don't have Saturday hours or are further than I cared to drive. I visited Precision Tune based solely on their many excellent reviews on Google.

Took my car in for an oil change and asked them to check my brake pads as I thought they might need to be replaced. Chris was friendly and got me in pretty quickly. The mechanic, Andrew, thoroughly checked my car and let me know my brake pads had plenty of life left. I believe many other shops would have seen an opportunity to make $$ of me and replaced the pads AND rotors. Seriously grateful for the honesty I found at this shop. I'll return and will definitely recommend Precision Tune Auto Care.
