My experience with this mechanic shop has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I brought my F250 to them, hoping to have my engine issue resolved, but it turned into a nightmare.First and foremost, it took them over a month to diagnose the engine failure without even beginning any repairs. This prolonged delay was incredibly inconvenient and left me without a vehicle for an extended period.To make matters worse, when they finally diagnosed the issue and obtained an engine from Ford, they requested an additional $3,000 for the engine replacement, even though it was covered by insurance and warranty. The shop paid $5,400 for the engine and wanted to charge me $8,400, which is an unreasonable markup.Despite the warranty already agreeing to pay their technicians more than their standard hourly rate, they still insisted on charging extra. This kind of behavior is unjust and greedy.Communication with the shop was a significant challenge as well. I had to physically visit the shop multiple times to get them to call the warranty group and complete the claim for the repair. My calls were often ignored, and I had to take matters into my own hands.I even offered to purchase the same engine they intended to buy from Ford without their hefty markup, but they refused to accept the engine and put it in my truck. Instead, they were trying to force me to pay the extra money, which is completely unacceptable.The owner of this shop demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and business ethics. His pursuit of profit led to him losing a contract with the warranty group and my business as well. This speaks volumes about their priorities.In the end, I asked them to reassemble everything they had taken apart since I found a more reasonable option with Ford that would have my truck repaired promptly within the warranty group's price range. Despite saying they could do this, they did not follow through, forcing me to incur additional costs for a tow to another service.Once the vehicle was dropped off to Ford. My battery was dead and resulted in purchasing a new battery. This place is THE WORST mechanic shop in the city.Overall, my experience with this mechanic shop has been marred by delays, exorbitant charges, poor communication, and a lack of integrity. I would strongly advise against using their services and look elsewhere for more honest and reliable automotive repair.Definitely deserves negative stars if that was possibleService: Auto engine diagnostic

Always treated kindly when we have gone in there. The people have great attitudes and very nice. They work with you and generally get you in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Prices have been decent for the things we've needed done.

Doesn t matter what you do .you guys are a complete ripoff. Had my Suspension repaired there and you guys just took my money and would not see what you did wrong or warranty your repair. DO NOT go to this shop. The suspension does not function in anyway. Would give negative stars.Service: Steering & suspension repairService: Steering & suspension repair

Cannot express enough how great these guys are. My transmission was dead and they assessed it, got a new one and installed it within 3 days. Drives like a dream now.

I came to the car people for the first time looking to get my ac belt replaced and get an oil change. I insisted that I just need them replaced and there is no need for a diagnostic. They do the diagnostic anyways and charge me $73 for something I didn t want. The only good thing is that the oil change is cheap, but the oil found its way into my car from the workers boots. The Car People has been a true blessing! They found me a very nice vehicle and sold it to me at a great price! They have also been an excellent mechanic shop for maintenance and repair for my mom's vehicle as well as mine! Every person I have come in contact with has given superb customer service and are friendly! Love this place!!!

Fantastic auto repair shop! The Car People, LLC totally went above-and-beyond to provide good quality auto repair service. They were very responsive and professional. They arranged for me to have a car while my SUV was getting repaired. They answered every question, handled the warranty company and finished up super-quick. They made me feel like my repair was important . I did not feel like they were just trying to take my money but they wanted to make sure that my SUV was repaired and safe for my family. I not only gained a repair shop but I gained friends. The Car People, LLC made me feel like family and that goes a long way in my book. I will trust those The Car People, LLC with all my auto repair & maintenance needs. Thanks guys, you rock!

Charles and staff are very polite and knowledgeable. He was very honest about issues with my vehicle and also great at explaining to me what is going on with my car, so that I understood. Prices were very reasonable and they are fast and efficient with service. I highly recommend this shop!

I received a coupon for a $9.99 oil change and made an appointment. I received an email to confirm my appointment and was pleased with how quickly the job was done. There were several things wrong with our vehicle, which I already was aware of, and the gentleman came to tell me about everything the mechanic found, but was not pushy for me to get it fixed when I told him I wasn't going to do those right now. He was very friendly and I will gladly go back there!!

I have used The Car People for a couple of years now. We have multiple vehicles serviced by the guys and are VERY HAPPY with everything they have done!From the first phone call to walking out the door, everybody is SUPER nice and very professional. Honest evaluation and fair price are received every time we are there.The Car People of Mboro is like having family who take care of our vehicles. We love these guys!!!

I haven't even picked up my car yet. But because of the experience I've had with The Car People at the Murfreesboro Tn. location so far, I have to say something about them. At age 46 I don't know if I've ever been to a repair shop where the Repair man were so concerned with not seeing me again. The Manager was Knowledgeable and Efficient. He and the Repairman and made recommendations detailing everything that our car would need but only repaired what was needed at this time because of financial issues on my part. The problem we have been having for the last 5 years and taken to about 7 different shops about was properly diagnosed right away. I said it was a problem with the wiring to each of the others but they replaced the o2 senor 3 times worked on the fuel line 3 times and replaced something with the coolant system the other. None of those things repaired the Problem with with the car. I just received a call from the manager of The Car People shop and he told me the problem was solved. I'm not the most articulate educated person but if I were I'd use some really big nice words to talk about the experience I've had with them. But as it is all I can say is THANK YOU and I'll tell everyone I talk to, send your car to The Car People...... Charles Spencer Jr....

My wife and I have been having our cars serviced here since 2014 for everything from oil changes to a clutch replacement. We have been pleased with every experience. All work done here has held up well under extensive commuting, and the folks are friendly and competent.

Horrible experience! Had them to remove a blow device from my car. When I called to get a quote, I was quoted $150.00, however when the company called to schedule it, they were quoted $70.00. so they were going to over charge me as an individual. Had to have someone follow me and drive 60 miles to them for an 8 am appointment. They said it would be 2 hrs. So, we drove around and killed 2 hrs only to be told that they had an oil change come in and they hadn't even started on my car and that it will be another 2 hrs. Come back at 12, car was done, however my dashboard was not back together and there was greasy black handprints everywhere. Thankfully my husband was there to put my dashboard back together. This Place is a Joke!!!

They seem to be decently honest and their prices are fairly standard for auto repairs. The staff keeps changing, which I wish didn't happen so often. They can be weird about things at times, and very helpful other times. One of the better mechanics I've found in Boro but that's not saying much at all.

I am from Georgia and I m in Murfreesboro, TN for a job interview in Brentwood, TN. As I was leaving the interview in Brentwood, I noticed my air conditioner was not cooling, my check engine light came on and the thermal sensor gage was not reading the temperature of my engine. I hit my OnStar button to get navigation to the closest Chevy dealership. When I arrived at the dealership, they turned me away because they were booked with appointments and taking no walk-in appointments. I was frustrated and wondering how I would get my car checked, repaired, and be able to drive back to GA by Sunday. By now, it s after 12:30pm on Friday. I Googled car repair shops near me The Car People was the first one on the list. At first Troy told me he was booked for the day too. I explained my situation and he told me to bring my car, they would squeeze me in. He went above and beyond to find the part I needed to fix my car, he call all over until he found it. He also offered suggestions on what I could do if I couldn t get it done today. In the end They will have my car fixed by the end of the day and I will be able to travel back to GA on Sunday as planned. I can t thank them enough for taking care of everything. The price was reasonable considering the problem. I am happy I called and hope they stay in business. I will be doing business with them from now on. Well . when I get the job I interviewed for and relocate to TN. Thanks for everything! You all have really been a blessing!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This place is legit. They do quality work and don't suggest work you don't need. They can work with you on things, and they even show you videos of your car doing the things they're describing! First mechanic I've ever seen do this. Great place. Definitely using them again if needed.

I have been doing business with these guys for a little over two years . They are very honest , reliable and don t overcharge or try to sell you on things you don t need . I am thrilled to have found them and will continue to do business with these fine folks .And they do quality work to boot . They have solved several nagging car issues that otherwise had went undiagnosed and unresolved. Who would have though that the problems would be so easy to resolve .These guys work hard and are sharp but they make it look simple and easy . I guess that is just the way it is when you are just good at what you do !My hat is off to these boys for being honest , reputable, and fair . Which sadly is a dying breed in the automotive industry . But at least we still have The Car People and they Rock !!!

I had an emergency and I took a chance to drive over after hours to see if anyone was there. Turns out I was right! So at 6:00pm, 30 minutes after closing time, they saw me and took care of my problem! I would not suggest doing this, but I am very thankful for the kindness and understanding.

I first learned about The Car People from Advance Auto Parts across the street. I've used The Car People several times and have been pleased with their work and their prices. I'm actually back here again today getting my oil changed. Charles and Troy are always a pleasure to deal with and make sure my car is in tip-top shape. Communications are great, and they will let me see the defective parts prior to ordering/installing new parts, adding to their integrity.

I love, love, love these guys. As a single mother, I feel I have been abused when it comes to auto repair, but when I found this place I knew I would never go anywhere else. They are personable, accommodating, and honest. Both Chandler, the manager, and John, their mechanic are extremely knowledgeable and have a passion for what they do. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone.

I went to The Car Guys today to have my brakes worked on. They offered the best price in Murfreesboro and had the best service. I called to get a quote today and spoke with one of the workers (Chandler). He ended up working on my car, and after I paid I found out they weren t even open. He solely did it because I told him that I could not come in on Monday. They offered honest and fair pricing. I am definitely returning to get more work done on my vehicle. Thanks Chandler!

Transmission on my g37 needed to be rebuilt so I took it to the car people and they found a good used one and installed it for a decent price and in a timely manner. Charles is very helpful when it comes to getting things right on your car. Highly recommended.

Charles Pace and the rest of the team over at The Car People in Murfreesboro are the best guys around. I just had my car worked on today and ended up being charged nearly $200 less than what I was initially quoted, and they had me in and out in less than 2 hours. They've been my mechanics for a couple years now and I couldn't be happier. Give Charles a call if you need anything - you won't regret it!
