Hackett came highly recommended and did not disappoint! They assessed the issue and completed the job very quickly. Their service is impeccable! I m grateful to have a friendly reliable shop nearby that I can count on when I need honest, fair & reasonably priced service for my car. Highly recommend HACKETT BROS!

They are professional, timely, and knowledgeable, while being incredibly kind, friendly, and helpful. I will absolutely be back again and again for car maintenance. They patiently explained to me anything that was going on with my vehicle, and didn t pressure me to do/buy anything (as opposed to other dealerships and automotive repair businesses I have dealt with in the past). Reasonable pricing, and quality work. Absolutely recommend!

I'm new to the area and had a relationship with my mechanic where I used to live for over 20 years. He told me something needed to be done. I believed him and when he did it it was done right at a fair price. If something was wrong he would make it right on his dime.Anyhow, I ran into a really friendly guy one day who was wearing his Hackett Brothers t-shirt. We had a conversation and I decided I would try them out. I've had work done on my car at Hackett's and we had extensive work done on my wife's car. The work was done correctly and they stood right to the price they quoted. It turned out one of the parts they installed was defective and they had to go back in and put it in a new factory part. The part itself was not much money but the labor for the job was pretty extensive. When I got the car back, I was told there would be no charge either for the difference in the part or the additional labor.These men are honest, trustworthy men of integrity who stand behind their work. What else do you want in a mechanic? They're also really nice people, the whole crew.. Their price was certainly fair and we're happy with the work they did. I recommend them without any reservation whatsoever.

I came in naiively years ago with a list of things I thought my car needed - instead of taking the easy route of ripping me off, they looked at my car and told me what significantly fewer things I actually needed done. I've trusted them ever since. I'm moving out of state soon and I'm going to miss knowing exactly where I should take my car any time it has an issue.

I used Hackett Brothers several years ago. They were very friendly. But I had a very old car and I needed to get rid of it. I was told this needs to be done and that. So I took it to another shop and he said that I need to get rid of it. I was very dissapoonted with Hackett Brothers after that. Im using my husbands phone, so it was me, Lisa, whose car it was.

Best auto repair experience I have had. Honest and friendly staff and know the repair will be done correctly without being overcharged through the roof. They replaced an oil pan on my car and was half the price the dealership quoted me. Can not say enough good things about this place and tell everyone I know to take their cars here.

Refreshing finding a mechanic whose goal is to help rather than swindle. Our actuator broke last February and a different place quoted $2000+ to fix it. 9 months later it s cold and we couldn t defrost the windshield. Hackett brothers got it done for under 1/5 of the price and it can switch between feet/face/windshield again! I know it won t always be that lucky with the price, but I was one happy customer. Trust is BUILT and I will go back to them when our car needs it. Hooray for honesty! Oh a staff is friendly/knowledgable too.

This shop is probably the last standing most honest reliable shop there is. Have taken a few cars to them. They are genuinely trying to help you and not rip you off like most mechanics. If you re looking for family owned, honest reliable mechanics, HACKETT BROTHERS IS IT!

Had my vehicle towed to this company and submitted a request in writing that I needed an alternator replacement if testing required it and struts completed. Stated that I needed a new battery instead and asked me to come to the shop pick up the battery myself and take it to the place where it was purchased to swap it out. I absolutely did no such thing. Later they stated that they had the new battery delivered to the shop and replaced my warrantied battery. Charged me over $60 for a test that could not be proven was completed on my alternator or battery as there was no diagnostic paperwork to prove anything. They Never completed the struts as requested. I did not care for the unwelcome attitudes at the customer service desk as I questioned the services that was performed on MY VEHICLE. I would not recommend this company due to the poor customer service experience and lack of professionalism. My vehicle was taken to a more reputable company and is getting proper services. Do not let the AAA certification fool you no quality here. I will be addressing my concerns to AAA as well.Update 2/27/24: NOW I am taking the 1 Star AWAY. I was just phoned today at approximately 9:58AM by a rude and unprofessional thug at Hackett Brothers only to confront and harrass me about my google review instead of trying to make things right about the unprofessional services. I thanked him for reminding me to call AAA to file a complaint. Mr. rude and unprofessional read this. YOU will be getting contacted by AAA ASAP as they state that they do not condone any of this type of unprofessionalism.WARNING: DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A QUALITY SERVICE PERFORMED ON YOUR VEHICLE. GO ELSEWHERE.Update: 2/28/24Barry Hackett and Hacket Bros have no shred of Truth or Honesty within them business wise. As there was many lies to their reponse. There was NO PROOF that anything was done diagnostically to my vehicle. My vehicle needed struts when it was taken to this company. They did not even look at them. As you can clearly see from the petty unprofessional response that " IT'S ALWAYS THE CUSTOMERS FAULT." THEY ARE NEVER WRONG. IT IS ThE CUSTOMERS fault that they perform LOW QUALITY SERVICE. I recommend that everyone READ Barry Hackett and Bros rude and nasty GOOGLE Excuses/Responses to other customers that also was not happy with waisting their time and money like : Alison Montrose, Daisy Davis, Connor Shepard, Margaret Papile, Kevin Dutton, Shannon Holzmeyer and so forth. As I guess It was THEIR FAULT TOO. The petty and UNPROFESSIONAL response from this company shows exactly what they are about. A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND MONEY. They are not about making things right when they are wrong as sin. Now I have to call AAA again Barry with another complaint for posting customers personal information onto Google. Oh and Don't bother deleting my personal information from your response now. It's Too Late. Because It's already printed unlike the so called diagnostic that you so called performed on my vehicle.

My family has been coming here for years. They have never tried to add on a bunch of junk I don't need. In fact one time my check engine light came on and it would have been extremely expensive to fix, and they told me it wasn't 100% necessary to even have fixed. They could have let me go through with it but they were honest.

MR BERRY very respectful guy went trough even by explaining every situation for the functionality of the suv and all his guys very very professionally managed all my issues reasonable prices professional work didn't took long had my car well maintained everything I wanted and expected turn out beautifully defently would becoming for any upcoming services for my vehicle

Hackett Brothers is simply the best, hands down, bar none. Barry, Stacy and the rest of the staff is as good as it gets. Customer service, knowledge, not to mention they're all great people as well. I let everybody know with my head up high who my mechanic is and I spread the word. Feel very blessed to have this great establishment in Murfreesboro. Thank you Hackett Brothers

Excellent. The mechanics here care about their customers and don't over charge, which can't be said about most. I drive close to a hundred miles a week, so I brought my car in about a few suspicious noises I heard. The mechanic drove my car for 12 miles just to test it, checked the oil levels, and the belts and more. He didn't find anything wrong, and had me drive him. He explained to me that what I was hearing was normal and why. Not only did he not take advantage of me by replacing a part that didn't need it, he didn't even charge me for the inspection. This is a great place for informed, trustworthy repairs. I will be back when my car does end up needing maintenance.

Broke down on my way through Tennessee and I'm extremely glad I got it towed to Hackett Brothers. First off they were extremely accommodating of my situation, being on a drive from Florida to Iowa and having no desire to stay in Tennessee for a week. So they got my car in immediately despite being innadated with jobs at the time.Within an hour they diagnosed that my 2011 Ford Fusion 3.5L V6 has been losing coolant and overheating because the water pump was leaking. He then quotes me 15 hours of labor and a bill in the $2,000 range. I of course assume he's ripping me off and call several other mechanics in the area.Each one tells me that they can't get me in until Wednesday and the same bill as to get at the Water pump on this engine, which is driven by the timing chain, you have to take half of the engine components off.Without going through every detail I felt valued when I was working with this shop. They replaced every part that needed or should be replaced (Which I know by talking to my brother at home throughout the process who is skilled with cars) and didn't replace the parts that didn't need replaced. My car was even done by the end of the second day despite being such a major job.I won't have an opportunity to work with this shop again but if I did I would give them the keys and just tell them to do whatever they need to do and call me when done.I'm so thankful for their quality work which took me safely for another 600 miles back home with no problems.

Best customer service of any maintenance shop I ve been to. They provided me a detailed breakdown of each step and clarified everything before moving on. They also provided multiple options with no pressure to repair. Great communication during UPS part delays. No question I found a new mechanic.

We were driving cross country when every light on our dashboard came on. Turned out to be a misfiring cylinder. I was really worried being far from my usual mechanic who I know is honest and thorough. So lucky that we found Hackett Brothers! Barry diagnosed our problem, tested everything out, and determined that no repair was necessary. Went ahead and got the oil changed while we were there.We were in a tough spot, he could have sold us a bunch of repairs we didn't need, or not have seen us at all since it was 2 days before Thanksgiving and they were short staffed. Instead I got a really reasonable price on an oil change and peace of mind before getting back on the road just a few hours later. 100% would recommend to anyone in town or passing through.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Google only allows 1 review. Theses guys would have countless 5 stars. Just like 1st time, great experience. My 15 year (s) old crv basically went out in the driveway. It took a few days to get to, but it's because they're full all the time. I was at work and my wife spoke with one of the brothers on the phone. He couldn't create or find my problem or why the car basically died in the driveway. Nothing was wrong. He said he was 99% certain it was the alternator but couldn't prove it. The car ran fine. They kept it an extra day to see if starting in the morning had anything to do with what I witness. Nothing. We were told they feel bad for replacing alternator and that's not it. My father-in-law is pretty good with cars and agreed with Hackett. Everything sounded like the alternator but it works fine. My wife called them and we agreed to change the alternator and we'll since he was pretty sure it was. My belt hasn't been changed in forever and they change it for no labor (most places charge you for each service even if it's one problem). Long story short. They didn't recommend anything. They couldn't recreate my problem or witness it. I trust these guys. I made the choice to change the alternator after my wife talked with them. Nothing was ever pushed on us or vague answers. If it truly doesn't work. We'll know it wasn't the alternator.This whole situation could have turned into, well, looks like it's a "such and such issue" and be about $2,500 to fix. It didn't. Hackett Brothers run a garage on honest opinion, assessment, integrity, and craftsmanship. That's why it takes a few days to hear from them and thier lot is kinda full all the time when I drive by. I had an excellent experience with this mechanic company. After being told by my dealership that it would be AT LEAST one month before they could even run diagnostics on my car to determine why it suddenly stopped working (after I had already had it towed there), I began to search online for other options. Hackett Brothers Automotive came highly rated on the google reviews, and I am so very happy that I found them! I called the company and explained the situation. I believe I spoke with Barry, but I apologize, if I am misremembering. He let me know that while they were busy and booking a couple weeks out for most repairs, he would look over my car as soon as I got it towed there and if it was a simple fix, he would have fixed quickly. And he is indeed a man of his word because that is exactly what happened. I had the car towed there close to closing on Friday. It was ready on Monday afternoon (today). And the price was very reasonable for what was done and of course the labor. I highly recommend Hackett Brothers Automotive. They will be my go-to shop should I need such services again. I am from out of the region but contacted Hackett Brothers to inquire about a pre-puchase inspection for a used car I was planning to but near their facility. I spoke with Chris (didn't get a last name) and was pleasantly surprised by the knowledge and easy of working with him on a first cold call. In addition to just being pleasant to speak with, he ran through all the key things the inspection will look for and agreed to squeeze me in on a days notice. Unfortunately, the deal fell through so I couldn't give them my business, but I can help inform others of the great up-front service I received.

I have used the Hackett Brothers many times in the past and they have always saved me money on all my. car or truck repairs . Some work I can do myself but this one I found myself a little over my head and needed help ..Recently I had a problem with my heater hoses on my 2015 ford transit connect . It was leaking up next to the fire wall and would not hold coolant very long before leaking out . I would try to do the work myself but the heater hoses where very hard to get to next to the fire wall and I did not have the proper tools to do the job .The weather was extremely hot outside and I needed it fixed right away . I had Barry Hackett to price the hoses out for me . He had to order them and told me to bring it back in the next morning and he would take care of it for me .. I brought my van back in the early morning and he had the job completed around 2 pm in the after noon . Great Service and at a great price !! Could not ask for better service !! I will continue using Hackett Brothers for as long as I can continue to drive .. Thanks again Berry for all your help .. These guys are the REAL DEAL. Quick, honest, and thorough. Very professional. My car broke down on the highway and it got towed here; within a day Stacy did an inspection and found out it was due to a (very) poor service job that was done at a big dealership across town. He sent me a photo, explained exactly what happened, and told me that the dealership could call him if they had any questions. Because of his help my car got a new engine, complete detail, AND new tires for no charge from the dealership. I cannot thank Hackett Brothers enough; I am going to recommend them to everyone!

Barry Hackett did a wonderful job at explaining what was going on with my car and what needed to be done. As a young female it is difficult to find a shop that you can trust. Barry made sure I understood everything and made me feel super comfortable that I was getting a fair quote. I took my car into a dealership for repairs and then noticed that my car seemed to somehow be driving worse, so I took it to Hackett brothers to get a second opinion. They were able to catch multiple mistakes that had been made, and they were so honest and kind about future services I may need. Honestly such a great place to bring your car. They listened to my concerns and explained everything so thoroughly. 10/10!

I am very satisfied with the service I received today. Everyone I spoke with was nice, accommodating, professional, and personable. The prices were really reasonable. They explained everything to me, and they were honest about which repairs I needed to prioritize. They also fixed everything surprisingly fast. Recently had my first experience with Hackett Brothers Automotive. I was very pleased with how thorough they were and that they called me to explain everything they found as well as let me know what they thought should be repaired right away and what could wait a little bit. I also appreciate the itemized invoice they supplied so you know exactly what each item cost including the breakdown of labor charges. Very upstanding business with wonderful service by experienced technicians!! Will never take my car anywhere else.
