Came to Tennessee to visit family and my air went out after about a week being here. And the weather was hot as hades. Called Murray's, they said they could test the system and put dye in to check for leaks if air stopped working again. Naturally it did. Took the van back. They lifted it up and sure enough there were 3 leaks in the line to the back and needed to be replaced. They had to order the part and as soon as they got it in they called and I took it to them the next morning to replace the line. They got it done that day and when I picked it up and left I heard a noise that wasn't there before. So I called and they said bring it back in the morning and would take a look at it. When I got there Wayne took it for a ride came back lifted it up did what he had to, took it for another ride and came back. Parked by the door of the office came in, sat down and told me I was ready to go. Something wasn't tightened all the way so it was making the noise. We all know accidents happen. We are only human. He apologized repeatedly and gave me $20 back for my time and gas spent having to bring it back. I was floored. This has never happened to me before. Not even the dealerships care if they waste your time. They where very professional and polite. I would recommend them for service.

I bought a vehicle from him that was bought at auction and the mechanics replaced the engine. I've had it exactly 4 years (It's a 2006 Scion XB) and so far it's gotten wiper blades, oil changes, late last year tires, and front brakes this year. I am totally impressed, and I was impressed then with some of the other used vehicles Murray's had. I believe the owner is honest and the mechanics are good

I'm not going to say anything bad about these guys everything started off fine but i think the little work that they did on my moms truck i think they over charged her for the labor and in the future i will never take another vehicle of ours to them to work on because they charge way to much for there labor for little work that they do .

Has been our family mechanic's for years, they have always done myself and rest of my family members right and stood by their work. Have always been very nice and tried to help me when needed. They have always went over our vehicles and called us and told us estimates and have even came to our work place to pick up vehicle to start working on it. Loyal and honest men and Wayne and Jr. will keep my business and I have even bought a car from them and still loving my car and Jr seen how bad I wanted it and didn't have enough saved and he handed me keys and told me here you go, it's yours so even reduced price just so I could own my Lincoln and still drives like a dream and have owned it about 4 yrs now and not had one problem with it. Murray's will keep my business as far as I'm concerned. Much respect

My truck was towed to Murray's in the middle of night on AAA recommendation. I was hauling a time-sensitive cargo when alternator died. They began working as soon as the shop opened, and I was on the road an hour later. Workmanship was top-notch and price was reasonable. Highly recommend!

The most expensive damn place around, but also the most reliable damn mechanics in the area! haha. Some great guys and good pricing for the quality of work. I have always taken my cars to them for repair and you can't go wrong with these guys! They're honest and to the point & they'll get the job done when you need them to.

My Dad went to this shop today with his 2002 Ford Explorer. Trust me he is not easily impressed but has not stopped talking about how great Murray's auto repair is. Dad lives in Minnesota and said he NEVER went to an auto repair shop that charged less than quoted and his SUV now runs perfect!

Not impressed with the ignition switch replacement on my Nissan Frontier. After seeing the high reviews and receiving a personal recommendation to use Murrays, I was pretty disappointed when I picked up my vehicle today (June 5th). The steering wheel lock had become seized and required a new tumbler, which Murrys took the liberty of installing a junkyard part along with a cheap generic aftermarket key set to save cost. For some this would be desirable, but I specifically asked if they could have the OEM keys recoded when I called and dropped the vehicle off on May 18th. I was told that they would have to contract out the programming to a third party but they would take care of it. After 3 weeks and making 2 phone calls for status updates (without any updates given), I was finally called and told to come pick it up. Which was a surprise to me as I had no quote, not description of the replacement parts needed, and no general status updates over the past three weeks despite calling. To make matters worse, when I mentioned that I would have preferred OEM parts and just wasn t impressed with their repair (which now requires a separate key for the door and ignition - see picture), I was told to be lucky that they did it at all since they had to go to a junk yard and pull the spare part as the OEM parts weren t available. I called a Nissan parts department and found that part number D87005Z00J is available with 2 new keys that have to be programmed either by the dealer or a locksmith. It was estimated at ~$800 ($286 for parts and $516 for 2 hours of labor) for the dealer to have this done. While more expensive, I would have paid this to have good quality OEM parts installed on my truck. At a minimum, I would have liked to been given the option and not lied to about part availability. While I don t doubt Murrys has great mechanics, their professionalism was lacking with in my experience. To be honest they just didn t get the job done right and then tried to pressure me into accepting their work. I don t appreciate it and feel that this experience needed to be shared.

my daughter who lives in Knoxville but teaches in Morristown had issues with her car on the way to work , so she called Murray's auto repair in Morristown , they have never met her, didn't know her but treated her like family and for a dad two hours away it meant the world to me. they got her in asap , diagnosed the problem , had to rush order a new alternator for a Subaru so it had to sit there a day but I am telling everyone, if you want it done right at a fair price and most importantly being told the truth this is the place to go. these guys are awesome and honest and that is hard to find these days. thanks guys for taking care of my baby girl.

Driving from NY to Tx our Ford F150 tie rod was broken on Sunday evening and we got stranded at the HWY rest area. After searching for a mechanic and reviewing on Google map, we picked up Murray's Auto Repair and God bless them all we were lucky to have these folks. We called in around @730 am in the morning and lucky enough they were not busy. They have reasonable price, professional saff and really helpful people. In two hours we got back on the road. We are very greatful forever and thank you.

We were driving past morristown and were lucky enough to have someone tell us about Murray's. It was Labor day weekend. .. but they were open and got right to work on it. They didn't charge extra fees and had us take it on an extended test drive to be sure everything "felt" right before we got back on the highway. I have been to plenty of garages and experienced "the runaround". No such thing here. They got us in and back on the road as quick as possible. Thanks Murray's.

My daughter had some problems with a wheel while travelling past Morristown - she called in to get it checked at Murray's. The guy spent 30 mins checking it out and advised her it was not serious and she could get the repair done later when she got home to Nashville - and then charged her nothing. Great to see someone offering to help in such a way. Go use these guys!
