This has to be the best U-haul location on the planet. Their customer service is impeccable. They go above and beyond to help you in anyway they can. They make you feel like your family and not just another customer. 10/10 would recommend

Claudia is the best in class as a human and as a representative of Uhaul. I made the classic blunder of reserving a truck that was too small for our needs. She made several calls and quickly found another location in West Memphis that had the truck I needed.I would unequivocally recommend Claudia and the Illinois Ave location. The store was clean and well stocked. Her multi-decades of experience make her an invaluable asset to the customer and the company. I am grateful for her.

I have used U-Haul quite of few times in Memphis but I hadn t use this location before. (Illinois Ave) I ve always had issues with U-Haul the waiting on the truck possibly having to come back the next day to pick up , equipment issues, inaccurate bill issues, etc When I tell you this was the most easiest, pleasantest, smoothest, experience I ve ever had with U-Haul. The customer service was great the truck was there waiting, and it was clean.The whole property was clean. I can t thank these young men enough for this amazing experience. I recommend this location to the whole Memphis and surrounding areas! I give this location 10 stars.If I ever have to use U-Haul again in the future, it will most definitely be this location, for here on out!Thanks again!Charlotte

Only use this location from now on! It was clean, organized, and inviting. Associate was super helpful, knowledgeable, and seemed to care if i had an easy trip. My last two experiences at the Union Ave store were negative. This time, new location, guaranteed I will remain a customer. Moving van was well maintained, clean, and newer. .

They treat you like family. Ms Claudia is professional and very knowledgeable. Resolved issues and ensures you get your proper discounts. It s always clean ands everyone is HELPFUL. If I use storage again, this will be where I rent.

I was overcharged by $1500.00. I only had it 2 days over and was charged for two weeks twice for insurance. Im putting this on public record that it was Rented on 3/8 and returned on 3/12. As soon as they opened for business they had the keys that were in lockbox. The bill wasn t closed out until 3/14. Then they charged a cleaning fee of $25. It was returned clean. Never will I use U-Haul again. These are fraudulent charges.

Excellent service from start to finish. There was a simple billing mistake in my final online invoice. I was more than pleasantly surprised at the immediate response to my inquiry and resolution. Extremely efficient personal service and attention.

I reserved a 26 foot truck and was given an 20 foot truck, causing me an inconvenience due to all of my belongings not being able to fit. If you don t have what I request, then you should have let me know that it wasn t available

When we re turning equipment please don t tell your customer you will send the email, talk to them before they leave and explain the checkin process as you work through it. Most customers want to be informed and not surprised by additional charges. Be fair to both company and customers. Because some of Uhaul equipment is very large the customer service person should pay close attention of where the customers are in relation to equipment so that there aren t any accidents like hitting the customer in the head with the 26 ft. truck door mirror again. After writing an email to U-Haul I was refunded $21 for additional gas. When I checked in to return my rental one way truck vehicle the man charged me additional fees that were not due to U-Haul. It took some effort but Uhaul did the right thing. Last thing please by all means train staff in Safety and customer service. The agent at the Uhaul store hooked it up, I m sure trying to help. Give better instructions to customers and please update you training video to include all steps beginning to end.

One of the best experiences I have had with U-Haul! Picked up a 10' ft truck for the weekend and it was a quick process and was even quicker to return. Staff were very professional and helpful. The facility was clean and inviting and the location was easy to access. I will certainly recommend this U-haul location to family and friends in town.

I would highly recommend this facility to anyone with moving and/or storage needs! The office staff were always extremely helpful and attentive. I stored some household items for approximately 8 months and never had any issues with the facility or staff. Their facility is well-maintained, organized, and convenient - especially for anyone living in the downtown area.

Claudia and Lateshia were outstanding. Both ladies went beyond all expectations for customer service. One of the smoothest moves we have ever experienced thanks to these two ladies. Would recommend this U-Haul above all others in this area.

I have a business and usually have to rent a UHaul twice a week. The UHauls are always clean,available and ready to use. The staff Tish and Claudia are always professional, polite and swift. I sincerely appreciate everyone there. Deliveries are a big part of my business and they always make this process easy with their hospitality.

The facility manager, Ms. Claudia W. (South Bluff location), was an EXCELLENT brand ambassador for U-Haul and the personification of the words "customer service" -- with an emphasis on the word "SERVICE". I could not write enough accolades about the entire rental experience.I also would like to shout-out Ms. Lakesha G. at the Lamar Ave. U-Haul location. She, professionally, facilitated my rental to the South Bluff location after we discovered I had entered the wrong pick-up time.Again, I cannot write a review that adequately expresses my gratitude to these two U-Haul associates. I am completely satisfied with my rental experience. Thank you U-Haul!

Avoid the Union Ave. location. They were rude, lazy, and so unhelpful and I am being kind and choosing my words. They represented the attitude of why I moved from Memphis! The W. Illinois people were AMAZING! It was clean, organized and the person who helped me saved the day. This was after 2 other places cancelled my existing order. Such a cluster F*** at Union and Illinois location was again AWESOME and AMAZING! Just start there to avoid any headaches.

I had some issues at 2 other locations in town with my reservation. After a lot of frustrating back and forth I ended up at the location on W Illinois Ave. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would have liked to have seen the inner windshield be cleaner (as we had to pull over on the freeway to clean it). That said, Rob was very nice and even called me after my return to notify me of some personal belongings I forgot in the truck. All in all a good experience once I got with the right people. Thanks, Rob!

I read the positive reviews and I have no idea who these people had the pleasure of interacting with because it wasn't my experience.These employees were so rude and they lie. Take pictures of everything. Go to any other location but not this one.I have rented Uhauls more times than any one person should need too. I have never had an experience like this at Uhaul or anywhere else in my life.

Excellent customer service. The workers are very helpful and nice. This is my 2nd time coming here and Claudia, Robert, and the other two workers (I can't remember their names), were all very professional. If you live close to Downtown, South Memphis, or Midtown, and are looking for excellent customer service to help your moving process go smoothly, I would recommend for you to come here.

I was expecting to pay $29.95 because the internet said the charge would be $29.95, however, when I got there my estimated bill was $84.61. The difference was 69 cents times my estimated mileage plus environmental fee plus tax. I expected to pay tax but did not expect to pay the 69 cents per mile. It would be good if the internet gave some information about these charges. Other than that I would recommend this U-Haul location.

Service was fast and efficient. We had gone to another center first on Union and after waiting over half an hour we re told the trucks we saw were not available! We went to this center and were processed and out within 25 minutes!

The technicians here were incredibly helpful and friendly - I couldn't have asked for better help recovering from a road trip disaster! After getting my trailer hitch installed at a different U-Haul location, my trailer's turn signals and brake lights had gone out a few hours into my road trip, so I came here to get it repaired. After several bad experiences at other U-Hauls, it was a breath of fresh air for the technicians to know immediately what to do. They not only fixed my wiring promptly, but they showed me exactly what had gone wrong from the other location, which gave me a lot of peace of mind to get back on the road. Everyone here was very competent and very welcoming!

Quite possibly the best customer experience I've ever had. Not only did Claudia go out of her way to ensure I had everything I could possibly need, it was apparent that she genuinely cared. Thanks to the employees at this location (especially Claudia), my move was quick and easy.

The lady (Asst. Manager) I believe she was, assisted us with the most welcoming and awesome attitude, personality and customer service that I've ever received ANYWHERE in Memphis. She really knew her stuff, U-Hauls equipment, and how to manage that facility, incoming calls and customers at the same time, all by herself. 10 's, and 2 's up to her (the Chevy Girl).

Thanks to Mr Holman (Rob) I was in and out with my reservation and his customer is excellent! He was patient and informative not only with me but all the customers I saw him interact with. This location also had more option as far as moving equipment and kids to choose from. I would use this location even if I moved on the opposite side of town

Worst experience at the U haul on Illinois...The gas hand show totally different from what's on the paper....Lairs I don't like...Been renting from U haul over 10 years.....this one was the WORST.
