I had to purchase my own utility dolly because they didn t have any in stock when I rented the truck on 2/17/24. Not professional. Listening, understanding your customer's needs, thanking the customer and promoting a positive, helpful and friendly environment will ensure they leave with a great impression. A happy customer will return often and is likely to spend more. They may also refer other people to your business. And improve your employee s attitude towards your customers they are working in the public

Excellent customer service I was in and out within 20 minutes the light technicians were very attentive and helpful. They replaced my fuse so that the signal light would work on the car carrier. They could ve just let it go, but did not that attention to detail is very significant. Please let them know. I appreciate that very much.

This location messed up my car AND their own equipment, rigged up their equipment and told me to go ahead and drive it 6 hours away (I refused). All this, after getting my car STUCK on the auto transport. It s been almost a month and the only thing they have done is send an appraiser and had their insurance rep to call me. The appraiser said they would be replacing 3 tires and 3 rims, as well as assessing damages underneath, that the uhaul rep may have caused. The uhaul rep tied a chain to the axle of my car and tried pulling it with another uhaul truck. The crash made before that has me concerned and these people don t care. Not the general manager nor the MCP.

Fresh blood stains (bio hazard) inside and on footrest, looked like fresh meat had been transported but didn t clean before renting. During the return, they trying to claim from me but luckily I already took pictures before took the vehicle. I had no option left to complain because of vehicle shortages.U-haul sent me about 14 miles away from the location I booked the truck from. Next time I may avoid U-haul and go for other options because this was my 2nd worst experience with the same location.

Terrible customer service and told me no trucks were available. Their customer service skills need serious improvement. They didnt even offer any other options and there are tons of trucks outside.. They were more concerned with a printer problem while the manager sat on his stool. Worst Uhaul experience EVER. Head to Budget on Stage Rd, its worth the drive.

Absolutely nothing!!! Young lady last name Ryan was just amazing check in was so smooth I thought she may have missed something. Young lady named Tempest (sp)? actually answered the phone. Usually when you call uhaul you get routed to national customer support. She was pleasant extended my trip no problem it was also nice to meet in person. Lastly, and I hate I don t remember his name because he gave me the other lady name, but he was there to check me in when the trailer was taken off my truck. His name tag said owner on it and he was great as well. These people were great from check in , during, and on return. Not usual at uhaul but this entire team was a model for what I d like to see at every location I have/will do business with.

The employees were not helpful and quite rude. Would not accept a Mastercard endorsed debit as form of payment. Would not accept a virtual credit card. Did not offer cash payment as an option. Also did not have appliance dollies on site and offered no alternative. Worst customer service experience ever.

I reserved a truck ahead of time, completed the online paperwork. I received a call confirming the reservation the day before. I received a confirmation number. I arrived this morning to pick up the truck and the person told me that they didn't have any, and would not have any, until late today. Not only that, but she stated she had zero trucks of any size. In the lot there were at least 8 trucks sitting and there were only two customers in the lot. She claimed that someone had been trying to reach me but my cell phone voicemail was not set up. My phone is my business phone and the voicemail has been working for years: no one called, and I did not miss any calls. I will certainly not return to this location. There was no apology offered, nor solutions. Just "none here."

I went to Uhaul to refill my propane tanks 6/26/23 during the power outage from severe thunderstorm with hurricane force winds on 6/25/23. I didn t catch the gentleman s name working to fill propane that day, but he was so kind. Charita at the checkout desk was amazing. Their kindness during a very frustrating time with no power was so appreciated and was a bright spot during my day. Thank you so much!

The manager at the Summer Avenue location is TERRIBLE. I was sitting in my U-Haul after pulling up to return about 15-18 minutes early. She approached the U-Haul and began harrassing me to exit the vehicle, telling me I could wait inside, as she had to check in the truck. I wasn t due until 7:30. It was extremely embarrassing having to lug all of my items out of the passenger seat and set them on the sidewalk as I waited for my Godmom to arrive. I will never return to this location. 0/5 stars.

Aretha lied and told me that the charge was just a hold on my credit card and that the final bill would be lower if the miles alotted weren't used she said it's a 750 mile alotment PER WEEK I had it for 25 days I only used 1400 miles and they are charging me the entire amount instead of honoring their word and only charging me for what I used. I would give zero stars if Google would let me

I pulled up here at 1.59pm on Thursday 22nd in my RV to fill up the propane tank before a trip down to South Georgia to be part of staging to support incoming Hurricane Ian relief efforts. The attendant was filling another customers propane tank when I pulled up, I prepared my tank and hatch for filling and the guy switched off the propane pump and told me he was closed at 2 and walked off mumbling to himself. Having dealt with the logistics of getting my RV out of storage and travelling to this location I would give them ZERO STARS. Quite surprised this location is still operating, judging by the other reviews here it seems they have zero accountability from any corporate office. Thankfully there are plenty of other places to take my business to, and so should you.

My visit to this Uhaul was great, wonderful customer service at check-in. I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Van was clean and full of gas. The return process was easy as well, they looked over the truck gave me my receipt and I was on my way.

The light skinned lady at front with green hair is so rude this is my second encounter with her and I m not sure why she is still there .Her level of concern was at a 0 when I asked her why my uhaul wasn t ready. As I proceeded to ask her questions she passes me a cs number to call and said call them or wait on their call . (Then continued texting on her phone ) No have a nice day no apologies or nothing . Horrible horrible customer service . I booked at the uhaul on hwy 64 and way better customer service here .

I booked this pickup a week in advance. I got a call on the day of my pickup at 7AM informing me that I (the customer) overbooked this location and my truck would not be available for pickup at 8AM. I called the store back (which is actually the 800 number) and was transferred to 3 different agents in which none could help. (Two of which were in Nashville and I am located in Memphis) I then proceed to go to the store and the worker was extremely rude and told me I just work for uhaul I don t make the rules . I was never told that my pickup time was changed to 830. The store manager then informed me someone would be bringing the truck back at 815. I stayed at the store until 830 and was then given the keys. No one ever brought this truck back. It was sitting in the parking lot the entire time. The store manager and worker were extremely rude and had the worst attitudes ever. If I could ve given zero stars, I would have!

Customer service is always unprofessional & rude. On the many occasions I ve had to use this location, they treat you as if you are a bother to them. The rental truck I utilized reeked of cigarette smoke and completed died on me numerous times. Trying to get roadside help was extremely long and useless. I ve had to utilize this location for propane fill ups and truck rentals, even though this was NOT the location I chose while on the website and I will not return in the future to this one.

I usually rent the yellow trucks but due to location and price I gave the UHaul on Summer Ave a try today. I had some questions/concerns about some wording on the rental and Hailey and her coworker (Sorry I did not get her name) went out of their way to make sure my concerns were addressed and that everything was as it should be. In this day of grumpy customers and porr customer service this was a commendable interaction. In addition, the rental went smoothly, the truck performed as expected including gas mileage, and I would definately consider using them first in the future.

From your own website: "A major credit card or debit card with a major creditcard logo is required" but I was told my card couldn't be used to rent a truck even though your own website stated I can use my Visa. Train your employees to do more than turn away business.

The sells associate there was not helpful at all.I let her know before returning the truck not to charge my card and that I was paying cash upon returning the truck. I inspection, then going inside to see what the charges were she had all ready charge my card and over charged for mileage. She told me you have so many miles to used before being charged drove about 45 miles. Said I had over 100 miles before being charged. Then tried to put the blame on the person who inspected the truck said I should have told him that I was paying cash. Instead of initially putting in her notes when I first told her before I gave her my information that I was paying cash. She didn't care she screwed up and manager didn't correct her on it. 5315 Summer Ave. Is there location.

truck was not at the location as promised and the location we were sent to was not open. we wiated 2 hours and no luck, even though the posted hours were during thier open hours. worst experience ever

I went to the U-Haul on Summer Ave to rent a 16ft truck and a trailer and the girl at the counter Rolled her eyes at me when I ask a question . So I left and went to penske's rent and even got a better deal. I will never rent from U-Haul again.

Wish I had of read reviews before hand. I was treated very wrong with the customer service I received especially from the worker Destiny. Its obviously time for her to find a new job. I had to get a refund for everything and still waiting on my money to be back on my card. I will be contacting corporate about my experience here. I booked my reservations 1 month prior and still when arriving things were not correct. If you want a great experience I would not suggest this location, and I hardly ever post reviews but felt this was needed. I asked destiny about options for returning truck after hours her response was if it's not here at 5 you still will be charged even after explaining to her that one of the men advise me about the dropbox and how I could use the truck after hours. Something has to be done about this type of behavior from an employee.The way she talked to her supervisor when he corrected her says enough I believe his name was Ken. I feel for anybody who has to work with her.

Used the mobile app to do the self check-in. Took a little bit to do all the steps prior to pulling off of the lot. But no issues - This was the second time going this route with this location. Interactions with the location staff has always been pleasant.

I received a phone call within two hours of my reservation that my truck was not available. Fortunately, another location in town had one, but I was charged for the additional mileage that resulted from this change of location. While the staff at the new location was most helpful, the representative whom I spoke with on the phone for the Summer location was rude and inconsiderate.The truck was not in good shape...the driver's side rearview mirror kept falling out of place and I had to readjust whilst driving.20 years ago, I had sworn that I would never use UHaul again for similar reasons. Now, I renew that pledge.

I was overcharged for 16 miles. I keep getting put on hold and the wrong card was overcharged. It was a self check in and the worker takes my keys and checked me in. Then tells me I owe way more than I ve already paid. He placed one of my payments on hold. This location hires nothing but troglodytes. I will never do business with U-Haul again. It s nothing but a scam. Someone living on a budget should not choose U-Haul. If you have money to burn, go right ahead and let them scam you.

Make all policies and procedure clear on the front end. I don't think its fair to ask for vehicle registration and lease for use of a debit card and cash. Its the same guaranteed money. Every person does not use credit. Also the customer service can be improved as well. If you don't like your job, find another one..no one is forcing you to be there. Check the attitude at the door. The equipment was outstanding. No issues at all. The gentleman that checked the equipment was phenomenal.

I had a great experience at this location. First, Ms. Lakeisha was very professional & friendly. Soon as I walked through the door I received a warm greeting. She explained everything in my contract & patiently answered all my questions. Also, Mr. Daveion (I apologize because I know I misspelled his name) was very professional while helping me with my vehicle & tow. He also answered my questions patiently. I truly appreciate the great customer service I received at this location. If I still lived in Memphis I'd definitely use this business again. Thanks!
