Had my 2007 Suburban transmission rebuilt a year and a half ago. Just a few months after it started leaking transmission fluid. Since it was still under warranty we took it back and the guy complained and reluctantly took it back. Took forever but he did fix it for no charge. 10,000 miles later and 6 months out of warranty it completely went out again. Obviously poor workmanship. Now here I am coughing up another 2k for a transmission. I would not use this place.

Very cool looking place. The sever was prompt, but it was obvious he was tired and not happy. The food was more expensive but not as good as a competitor down the road. I'll pass on El Agave in the future.

By far the most trustworthy and honest mechanic I have ever been to. He won't try to sell you parts or services you don't need. Brought a truck with a busted transmission to him and was given a free diagnosis. His price was by far the best in town and I had the truck back and running great in less than 3 days. This was over 2.5 years ago and the transmission is still going strong. Highly recommended over any other shop in the area.

Honestly denied to work on my car because it wasn t his expertise. Doesn t get any better than that. He could ve easily took my car in for a hour or two and denied the ability to work on it and request a service fee. However, he honestly denied to work on my car and gave me other references instead. Great guy and doesn t beat around the bush.

I handed my truck of to the owner to install a new transmission on Thursday afternoon near closing. By Friday before 1PM the next day my new transmission was completely installed. The truck works perfect! Thank you Barry!

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix with a transmission that wouldn't let me go any faster then 30 mph per hour ( a long drive on the E-Way haha) but i took it here (Albo's Transmissions) and he test drove it and told me it needed to be rebuilt and told me right up front how much it was going to cost me and when it will be ready. No beating around the bush or anything like that. He gave me a firm and strong handshake which tells me a lot about a person. He told me the car will be done on Friday(6/4/2016) and it was. The price he told me the day i dropped the car off was the very same the day i pick it up(Give or take $20). The rebuilt comes with a warranty and the transmission is great and shifting smooth which my car haven't seen in over a year. Mr. Albonetti has been working on transmission since he was 18 and its 28 years later and I recommend him to anybody. And thats the end of my testimony haha.

Barry treated me great. I brought it in for a check up cause I'm going on a road trip soon. I had recently felt something with my transmission and wasn't sure if it was of concern. He checked it out, ran some diagnostics, topped off my transmission and said everything is fine for now. He didn't do any un-needed work or try to rope me into buying something I didn't need. I was dressed in slacks and a tie (which usually makes me feel like a mark going into a auto place); he made me feel comfortable and was very honest with me. I'll definitely be bringing my car back to him should I have any problems and would recommend him to any of my friends.

I had a transmission fluid leak on my Honda Accord. It turned out to be the leak on the transmission cooler line. The owner of this repair shop certainly owns his job.1) He gave a free diagnosis and quote.2) Replaced the faulty part with original Honda part.3) Did all the work in my presence and explained everything.4) Charged me exactly(actually a little less) he quoted for.5) Very knowledgeable with automatic transmissions.I will not hesitate to be back if need be.

My transmission line burst and the dealership replaced the line. They did a test drive said I needed to replace the transmission. I had my vehicle towed to Albo's. He took me on a test drive and couldn't get the computer to show a code. He didn't feel I needed a transmission. He didn't charge for the test. I would high recommend Albo's.

i was really impressed with this mans service! He had my car ready when he said he would and when i stopped by he took the time to show me my transmission tore all apart and showed me exactly what had happened to it and told me all the things he was going to do to improve it i was really impressed. works absolutely great! Honest and approachable mechanic who is very straight-forward. Had a leaking accumulator and he fixed it quickly and at a very reasonable price. If I ever have transmission problems again I know who to go to!

This is the best transmission shop in this city of mine. He checked out my car for free and found a wiring issue that was affecting my car and did not charge me for the issue and offered to put my neutral safety switch on for free when I get it, God Bless these people as they are truly a blessing

Took the time to take apart my axle only to determine it was my front end that needed work. Reassembled and gave it back and showed me what to have looked at. Very honest.
