AWFUL SERVICE- STEVE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT HIS CUSTOMERS!!! I would not recommend this shop to anyone ever again, THEY LEFT ME WITHOUT A RUNNING JEEP! They replaced some parts on my engine and when it stopped running shortly after Steve the owner called and said he would offer me back the $5,000 I spent so I could use it towards a new/used engine I told him I'd feel better if I had a second opinion and needed more time before accepting his offer. I lost trust in them when they had my Jeep in their shop for over a month and did not know what was wrong with the engine and thought they were liable and I had to call several times to have them try to get an answer from them .. THEIR STAFF WAS DID NOT SEEM TO KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING They quote said they were "Baffled"When I called Steve back and told him I would like to accept my 5,000 refund so I could fix my engine he retracted his offer and said it was not his fault! STEVE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT IT'S CUSTOMERS HUGE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME, GO ANYWHERE ELSE, THIER WARRANTY IS ALSO AWFUL!

Went to Steve's Tire and Auto for low tire pressure in a rear tire. They found a screw and began repair. The technician began and came back saying the side wall was damaged and a new tire was needed. The service manager took a look and determined that the damage had to be done during the repair. They replaced the tire at no cost. I thought this commendable of this shop. This was a $600 tire. Most other shops would not have admitted their error and passed this cost onto me. They also searched the city to find a replacement, and had me on my way in less than an hour. It is hard to find good service these days, let along honest and respectable service. I will definitely be using Steve's Tire and Auto when the need arises again.

I went to Steve's to have a few repairs done. They sold me on tires and that was fine because I was getting ready for a roas trip. They also gave me prices on how much it would be out of pocket to have a few minor repairs done if my warranty conpany did not cover the repairs. Again he explained to me that these are rhe prices to COMPLETE each item if the warranty doesn't cover them. So I said let's run it through the warranty first and see what they say. So low and behold the warranty company is only covering X amount of dollars and they aren't covering AB and C. So I made the decision not to do the repairs. Now he is telling me the prices he quoted me were not the costs to COMPLETE the repairs but the cost for the diagnostic only!!!! $150 for a seat belt latch $80 for a fuse!!!! $80 for a bulb?? Are you serious? These aren't even the prices for repairs, it's for the diagnostics!!! I feel like this is one of those shops that take advantage of women by using their Mechanic language. They know what to say amd what not to say to women and that's not cool. He knew He made a comment about tax season almost like he feels like I had it to spend like that but I don't. I feel so taken advantage of. I will never come back here again and I will never refer them. They really took advice of me at "tax seaon". I am a struggling mother rhat only wanted to take my kids on a road trip for spring break now I can't because I feel robbed. I hate I ever came to this place. Had he made it clear that there would be a $150 DIAGNOSTIC FEE for telling ne what I told you about a seatbelt, I would have never ever said ok. Just give me the tires and let me go. No heart he could have explained that to me instead of forcing me to pay this. I really feel ambushed.

I have been going here for years. They have always been wonderful. I have found being a female and going anywhere auto related it is very hard to trust people, but I trust them 100%

This place has a very high rating and that's excellent, but for the customer that needs service that can become a double edged sword. They were not too inviting to me, maybe it was because it was in the morning,.....well at least I hope that's what it was . I attempted to drop my vehicle off and I was told that they probably wouldn't be able to even diagnose my vehicle until Monday. I came on a Thursday so that option wasn't going to work for me at all. The attendant at the front desk stated, we have vehicles that have been waiting for over a month for a part . I asked can you just give me a call once you are ready for my vehicle, well that's not something that they do.This is an area that they definitely can upgrade in, several places of automotive care provide that option. If I can still drive my vehicle without damaging it I can't see any reason why you wouldn't have that option, it makes more sense than just letting a vehicle sit for weeks.

If you want an honest and fair assessment, this is your place. I had gone to the dealership for an oil change. They found a nail in my tire and plugged it, but told me I shouldn t ride with the plug for too long. My car only has around 20k miles. Before taking a trip out of town, I took it in to Steve s to purchase a new tire. After inspecting the tire they said I didn t need one and I would be fine to drive on it. I was so grateful for their honesty and it saved me around $400.

I love this place! Brian is the best he is very knowledgeable about vehicles. He took the time out to help me and gave me his expertise and told me exactly what was wrong with my vehicle. You can tell he is very passionate and genuine about his job and he cares about the customers and make sure he goes above and beyond. Most shops just be trying to rip you off and make money you can tell that's not what they are about! I told my friends and family about this business we will be back!

I got an oil change, spark plug replacement, and transmission fluid replacement. I dropped it off at 7:30am Wednesday and they were finished 10am on Thursday. They must be behind schedule. Nice guys and I hope they did quality work. Total cost was $900.

Man, what a sad state of affairs. We went to them back in June to have a windshield wiper motor replaced, and after a month and a half, it just went out again. We took it to another mechanic because we thought maybe a fuse had blown, since when we went to turn on the wipers, one day there was no response from them whatsoever. So the other mechanic runs a diagnostic and looks under the hood, and lo and behold, the installation had been done incorrectly, and there were several screws missing that were supposed to keep the cover in place right beneath the lower end of the windshield. The warranty company that we did it through wants us to go back here to have it fixed, but considering how badly they messed it up in the first place, we're choosing to eat the $400 out of pocket to have it done by any mechanic that isn't this one.Service: Electrical

Steve's Tire & Auto is the most professional, considerate, accomadating, and friendly business in their space. Too many times in the past, we have been price gouged, sold services that weren't needed, or made to wait hours even though being on time for a scheduled maintenance appointment.Highly recommend!

Astronomically overpriced labor. They saw I was from out of state and a student-athlete at the University of Memphis and knew it was an opportunity to take advantage. Extremely bad communication with me. I found three other shops that would charge half the price of what they charged me, but they already started beginning work on the car. Do your research on how long it takes a certified mechanic to fix parts because I do not understand how it takes over 5 hours to replace a radiator. I knew it was going to be a nightmare when I first took my car in and while I was waiting a customer was very unhappy and upset with the price he had to pay. The guy working behind the desk says our business does not take advantage of our customers. As I have experienced first hand that is straight lie. THIS PLACE IS A GRIEVOUS BUSINESS. I 100% recommend any other place besides here.

My boys and I were traveling through Memphis when the tire got flat. I managed to get air in it, then made a call to Steve tires. The gentleman Travis was courteous and understanding that it was an emergency. He made sure our tire was taken care of as soon as we arrived. Our wait for the patch was within 30 minutes and the price was reasonable.I appreciate their professionalism and exceptional customer service to us visitors! It made our road trip a breeze instead of a hassle, which we give our gratitude.Thank you fellas at Steve Auto & Tires L.Crawford from Buckeye Country

knowledgeable service at reasonable pricesemployee at desk (Mike) was very helpful and seemed to understand what my problem was just by my describing the issue i was having. Answered many questions for me very friendly and courteous. I thought the cost was very fair and they are wonderful about providing you with a ride to work, when dropping your vehicle off. I have been using Steve's (at both locations) for a good many years now, and always feel i am being dealt with honestly. This is of premium importance to me.Vehicle: GMC Safari Service Date: 08/14/2015

I took my 2003 Mazda Protege LX in to have the water pump and belts replaced. Very clean, professional, and well maintained mechanic s shop. After my belts were replaced under the hood of my car, I had some problems with high pitched whining sounds. Steve and his Customer Service Manager took care of the issue with the belts stretching, and fine tuned the problem. Thank you , Steve and God bless you and keep you, good sir.Service: General repairs & maintenance

We had to have our car towed here a couple weeks ago after it broke down on the way into Memphis. They called us first thing Saturday morning to figure out what problems we had. After hearing the extent of damage we ended up trading in the vehicle. But had a great experience with the staff here and would recommend any day.

I went there for a tire rotation and balance. I should have been in and out in less than an hour. They took up nearly 3 hrs of my time. They were poking around, looking for things to fix. I know my truck needs some work and explained this to their service writer. They might have gotten some more work from me later if they would have just done what I wanted and sent me on my way. The bill was slightly higher than what I was quoted, too. I do most of my own work, but need a place to buy tires and batteries close to home. The Sears service center used to be my go to place for this, they are closed now. I guess I will use them again, but will be looking for something better

One of the best mechanic shops I've been to in Memphis Tennessee. Do not sell you services you don't need. They shoot straight and do good work fast. I Would recommend to anyone. Can't speak for the midtown location, but the East location staff are professional and friendly.

Had such a good experience that I took second car in last week. Mike was honest and did not talk down to me (a woman) as I have experienced at other repair shops. Work was done as promised and the price was fair. Will be using them in the future.

I had a nail in my tire & was on the way to the place where I got the tires. On the way, my tire blew out. Steve s was the closest tire store to me . They told me I needed a new tire. I said I would just put on the spare & get it to the other place. Steve s Auto and Tire put the spare on free of charge. I will recommend them in the future for their good customer service!

Meh. They did a pre-purchase diag for free, so I figured I d let them do the work they diagnosed. I had a window regulator go out, so they fixed that, but the part they put in failed a couple weeks later so I had to go back again. Fortunately they honored their warranty so they fixed it again, but this time they stole the hand sanitizer out of my car. I get that there s coronavirus going around, but come on... They also conned me into a tune up that was $700 and did nothing to fix my acceleration lag. I found out later from a friend in the auto business that the fuel induction kit they said would help with the lag is a common scam auto shops sell that does nothing to improve engine performance.

Best tire repair in Memphis! I called Brian at 5:00pm on a Thursday night, he had a tire ordered and put on first thing Friday morning. I waited MAYBE 10 minutes for them to help me, fix my tire and walked out the door! Very nice people and were so quick to help! Will definitely be a returning customer! Thank you Steve's Tire Team!!!

After a 3000+ mile road trip, we were only 3 hours from home and i waked out to a flat tire. I swapped in the spare and drove to Steve's on a Saturday. They plugged and swapped in about 10 minutes, advised me not to rotate that tire to the front, and sent me on my merry way. These are the mechanics you hope to get and never do at the bigger places. Save yourself trouble and visit Steve's. They're good people.

This isn't a full service auto shop just a bunch of beginners.my mom took her car here because it was missing so they just said we'll try a tune up. Did the tune up and still missing. So the mechanic or owner whoever he was figured since the check engine light is on he couldn't figure it out. I'm thinking to my self even a check engine light won't pinpoint a misfire and if you call yourself a mechanic you should be able to diagnose something as simple as a car missing and not even a hard miss a moderate misfire. I don't know if he was trying to save us money or really don't want to deal with it. I tell you this city is a racist city and it shows from the government down to the tire shop. I wouldn't recommend this place on your last tire in front of the building

THE most trustworthy and honest place in Memphis. The only place I'll go to get an accurate and helpful assessment of my vehicle. Have used this place for the past few years and have been nothing but satisfied with customer service and diagnostics. Highly recommended!
