I took my 1999 CRV here with an engine idling problem (pretty notorious problem for this year). They worked on it for 5-6 hours replacing parts and trying different things that typically cause this. It turned out the computer/PCM probably needs reprogrammed by a dealership so they weren t able to fix it.. they sent it home with no charge at all. I even tried to tip and wouldn t let me. I had experience with multiple guys in there and they are some of the nicest people. They have my business in the future. Thank you all

Honest, competent, and fairly priced. Will never take my truck anywhere else in Memphis; especially after dealing with Christian Brothers Automotive.

This business has been around since I was a kid. I had never used them before, but comments through the grapevine has consistently been great!!Recently I took my Chevy silverado in because in a matter of 30 minutes it shut down several times, barely moving while accelerator was floored.Ron Archers, like normal, was busting busy with cars to work on. I left it with them understanding it might be 3 days before it could be seen.On the 3rd day there I called to inquire if they'd had a chance to look at it. They were very polite and said they were looking at it and it ran idle fine. Alternator and everything looks . He said they had not driven it. I asked "would u take it out on a drive. Thats when it cut off. " After I got oow I called back.""Yes mam. I'm just getting back from driving it. Drives great! We can't find anything wrong with it. You can come get it anytime."Needless to say I was dumbfounded...but thankful.Thanks Archers for your time and your honesty.You've got my business!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Honest mechanics and perfect customer service. Luke did an excellent job taking car of troubleshooting an AC issue. I will be using this location for all my car maintenance going forward. They had my car returned to me with the problem fixed in less than 2 hours for a job that I was told by other shops could take days.Service: A/C installation & repair

They re not inexpensive, but they are reliable. I ve been taking my cars, and my kids cars to Luke for 20 yrs and he has never let me down. He s honest and I trust him. As a woman I never leave his office feeling like I ve been taken advantage of.

Cannot say enough good about Ron Archer, my family has been coming to this auto repair shop forever! They are always friendly, professional, knowledgable, and honest. Pricing is great honestly don't see myself using another Auto Repair Shop as long as they are around. 10/10, Luke and His Crew are amazing!

I moved to Knoxville last year after living in Memphis and giving Ron Archer all my auto business. Had to take my Honda Pilot in for repair, in Knoxville, to find out that Ron Archer put used parts on my car and charged me full price!!!! $1,1000!!!!!! Used power steering pump and accessories. These guys are crooks!!!

The best! Car repairs are usually expensive and stressful but with Archers you can be assured of competence and honesty.Have had many experiences with dealerships and small shops but have never felt more comfortable. Very busy but to be expected when you offer service this good . May have to wait a while but good things come to those who wait. There are very few places left with this kind of service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Luke was awesome. Fast service at a decent price. He was very helpful in educating me on repairs that were frivolous and wouldn't affect the vehicle adversely if they weren't completed. Very honest. Will definitely use them again for any future repairs.

I don't know how many people managed to Love an Autocare shop but I've managed to. Founded by Ron Archer and run by his son, Ron archers Auto Care has taken care of my car as well as my husband's car for a few years now. They are honest and reliable and will admit if they cannot repair something on your car and refer you to someone who can. I actually came to them after a reference from my best friend and my sister. I think that word of mouth is how they get most of their business and they're always busy. Even though they're always busy you can trust that you'll get your car back very quickly and in good condition. The only downside is that they do not have any loaner cars for you if you have to leave your car overnight.

Driving from Conway, AR to Nashville, TN we started experiencing severe vibrating of our vehicle. We stopped at the nearest mechanic we found via Google and after a diagnostic, we were quoted $2,600 worth of repairs. I called Archer's who agreed to give me a second opinion (although they previously said they were totally booked up). Luke Archer looked at our vehicle and let us know we were misquoted and only needed a rear tire which saved us from thousands in unneeded repairs. Thank you Mr. Luke for assisting us in our time of need and being so honest. He even called later that day to follow up with me to make sure we were taken care of. What excellent customer service!!!

Very busy but very friendly service...got me in as quick as they could. Very helpful explaining my car issue and best way to save money but fix the problem. Saw a lot of returning customers friends/family dropping off their cars because of the good workmanship.

Mr. Luke got me fixed up after an inflated quote from a local Honda dealership. They saved me thousands and squeezed me in during a busy week. I highly recommend Ron Archer s.

I like Ron Archer's because my family has been going there for years! They are trustworthy and will tell you what you need done to your vehicle first then tackle the other repairs next time if you don't have a lot of money to spend. They will let you know what's most important to fix first. They also do it right the first time. They do a really good job too! Me and my girlfriend have been there a few times to get different things fixed. My family has been going there for over 15 years!

These guys have always been honest with me about the work that needs to be done, what will need to be done soon, as well as a quote on each. They're not the cheapest and they're not the most expensive, but honesty mean far more than price these days. They stay busy, and that's not a complaint, but a reference to the quality of their work.

The hardest thing to find is an honest mechanic. Well, look no further. Their prices are more than fair (Other places have quoted $150 -$300 for a smoke test for an e-vap leak on my Scion TC, they did it and provided a new gas cap, for $75) I have brought them my 1970 C-10, and they have spent hours locating problems only to not charge a cent if they don t actually do any work. When I do have them fix something, its always much cheaper than I expect. They always call and report a price before starting any work, and I have never run into a hidden fee or charge. Luke is very courteous and friendly, and explains things thoroughly. I ve been there 5 or 6 times, and have never once walked out feeling screwed (which is a common feeling when spending money on my car). Next time you have an issue with your vehicle, take it to your dealer for a quote. Then take it to Ron Archer. If they don t have a better price, message me and I will eat my hat.

Most honest and friendly shop I have ever worked with!!! Great people, can't say enough good things about them!!!! I was told at pepboys after an oil change that my car needed $1,500 in repairs!!! Took it to Luke and only needed back brake replacement. If you want an HONEST answer, ask Luke. 100 stars!!!!

At the recommendation of a co-worker I dropped my truck off for service (cruise control not working). Later they called me letting me know it was repaired and what they found was something had come disconnected at the master cylinder and all the did was reconnect a cable. Expecting to and more than willing to pay for the time it took to diagnose and repair the issue, Lucas Archer insisted on not charging me. Best auto repair experience I have ever had and will continue bringing my business to Archer's.

I took my car in because the engine had misfired. They fixed it in under 3 hours. On the way home, a different part of the engine misfired and I took it back first thing the next morning. They prioritized my vehicle, and when I went back, they told me that it was a different issue than the one that I had, and I offered to pay, but they would not let me. The workers were always very polite, and this was a very great experience.

Lost a full day thanks to these guys. Called on a Thursday & they told me to come Tuesday morn. I was third in line. Called at lunch & told me they had no idea when it would be ready. Called again at 4 & said it might be ready for the next morning so I went & picked it up & took it to someone else. Can t get that day back, nor the work I had to miss. Super disappointing. Won t be going back.

My girlfriend took her car to Ron archers to have the 6th cylinder sparkplug replaced becuse its misfiring on the 6th cylinder and its a tough job to replace sparkplugs 4-6.(I believe the mechanics name is luke) They replaced the 3rd sparkplug which I could have done. The Car is still misfiring in the 6th cylinder and they refuse to fix the original complaint after charging 200 for a 3rd cylinder sparkplug unless she pays another 200. Found out this is the second time they have chaged her 200 for a sparkplug. She has paid them 400 total for sparkplugs and never changed the 6th cylinder sparkplug. Apparently they don't put pride in there work and will not change the sparkplugs that are difficult to get to even if that was the complaint and what you paid for. I would not recommend these guys to anyone.
