Needed brakes and rotors, but my regular shop wasn't available. So, I took a chance and couldn't ask for a better experience. Daryl and his team were able to work me in same day. That's clutch! Keep up the good work, y'all.

Dropped our car off on Thursday for a diagnostic service and possible repairs (depending on cost, ofc) but it wasn't diagnosed until Monday. Understandable, somewhat... The engine code I pulled was for lean fuel trim, yet PB tells me they pulled a misfire code.... It took 4 days to come to that conclusion??? Which I still don't believe is true. Other people may spend money here, but I won't. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Came in for an emergency tire replacement, John at the reception was accommodating and very professional. Got tire replaced quick enough for me to complete my errands for the day. Thank you so much to John at the front desk and the guys at the back of the shop who did the service. I appreciate Y all!

I have never lived in an area with Pep Boys so today was a first for me. My wife and I had a flat in our rental car on the way into Memphis for Christmas with family. It was two days before Christmas and we needed to get a tire replaced and installed back on the car. We were expecting this to be difficult at best and thought it was highly likely it wouldn't happen at all until after Christmas. We stopped by Pep Boys and explained what was going on. The guy working the counter that day told us to leave the tire with them. They would fix it if they could or replace it if necessary and they would deal directly with Enterprise.They would give us a call when it was ready. I got a call about an hour later asking us to bring the car back by. I showed up 10 minutes later, backed in, the service tech pulled the spare and installed the replacement and we were on our way, no charge. These guys are awesome!

Jay and Daryl took great care of me! On a dark cold Friday night I had a tire that was quickly going flat. I parked the car and quickly went online to pep boys for an appointment Saturday morning. I aired up my tire Saturday morning and hobbled my way over to them. They were able to plug and patch (double protection) for me and I was in and out in just 45 minutes. I m grateful for their level of professionalism and swift work to get me back on the road during a busy holiday weekend.Bonus was that no, new tire was needed!

Spent over $600 on a check engine light and auto tuning. Neither did the auto tuning help the problem with the car nor did the check engine light go away as promised by the guys working there. Such a waste of money.

Incompetent and maybe dishonest: after new tires and alignment the steering wheel was crooked. Took it back and it was fixed but car still felt weird. When I took it back again to ask for them to check the alignment again they said that if the steering wheel was straight there was nothing else to do. When I took it to another Pep Boys location they found that the read wheels were badly out of alignment.

I m usually not one to give reviews on anything but I just had to comment on the horrible experience I had here. My car is currently STILL there and I have no clue why. I was told it was an electrical issue and then a few days ago I call back and another person tells me its the battery. I call and call and call and there is no response. There is ZERO communication! The one time I got a hold of them they say I have a mystery bill of $60 when I pick it up?? I have a 3 year warranty on my battery with them and was just hoping for a replacement. This is the absolute worst PepBoys I have ever been to and it s ridiculous how little they care. DO NOT GO THERE

John was AMAZING. He helped me with an emergency flat. Tried a repair but it didn t work so he replaced tire, at the last hour! He was very kind and professional. I highly recommend this location.

Worst experience ever. My boyfriend went to get his oil leak to be fixed, and they charged him for an unnecessary oil change. They did not bother to fix the leak, and did not put the cover over the engine correctly. The manager was not listening to any of his advice on where the leak is coming from. I would never take any of my vehicle there. I d give a zero star. Plus, they used the wrong mileage of oil in the car. If the engine gets damaged, they better pay for it.

I was actually surprised at the service I received at pep boys in Memphis. They did not try to sell me anything I did not need and were very thorough. I wish I knew how to get in touch with owner . PEP BOYS USED AN IMPACT WRENCH ON MY WHEELS. I GOT A FLAT THIS WEEKEND AND HAD TO CALL A WRECKER SERVICE BECAUSE I COULD NOT GET LUG NUT OFF. THEY PUT THD NUT ON SO IT STRIPPED THE NUT AND THE SCREW. BROKE OFF THE STUD FOR LUGNUT!!! WILL BE THERE MONDAY MORNING. Final addition to review 10/26/2023: I will give them.this, when I brought this matter to their attention they did offer to fix to.the broken hub.

I have a 2012 Toyota Hybrid Prius. I went to Pep Boys intending to get my alignment fixed. Keep in mind that none of my censors were shown on my dashboard at first. Now, 3 of my censors are on (brake, abs, and traction control).Not only that, my brake pedal acts like it doesn t want to go down. The mechanic claims he did nothing when obviously he did something. He even cared to admit he doesn t like to work on hybrids at the very end. Knowing this, why jump in the car in the first place ?!?! It clearly reads hybrid on the driver side door.The manager insisted the cameras showed the mechanic barely touched the car. Who s to say he didn t touch anything when he first drove it to the back to look at it?? Best believe a complaint has been made. Don t waste your time folks.

Employees don't communicate amongst each other or with customers, they do not honor appointments, and had my car for three days past my appointment time without even looking at it. Never called, I had to call every single day and kept getting the runaround about how the prior days staff didn't tell them anything needed to be done and they'd update me asap - only to never call. I've had to call myself every day like pulling teeth and now, I am going to have my car towed elsewhere. For what it's worth - all I needed repaired was a radiator hose. I highly recommend Steve's on poplar. This was the first time I didn't go to them first, but when I called about how terrible things were going with pep they got me squared away and worked in same-day. I learned my lesson. They also left my car's electrical running for over 12 hours overnight and burned out my starter. What mechanics leave a car overheating and making ticking noises overnight without the keys in it and think it's okay????? "How could we have known?" By listening. You're mechanics, right ??? I know nothing about cars and would never have assumed that was fine. Secondly, nobody called me when this happened. After hours of hearing nothing, I called and was placed on hold for almost 20 minutes and then told they came in to my car *smoking* in the garage this morning. How disrespectful to you have to be to not call an inform somebody?

I made an appointment online to have my AC evaluated. I showed up for my appointment and I was told they could not help me because their AC guy works part time and he may be there at a later time during the week. I would have appreciated a call or email telling me to reschedule my appointment before I showed up.

I had a confirmed appointment to get tires mounted. Had them shipped to the location. Took off of work and get a call as I m 5 min away and he says he doesn t have anyone to mount tires

I Went in for a oil change yesterday and the guy at the register was Already behind with two prior vehicles, and they changed my oil and didn't screw my oil drain screw/plug back tight and I lost oil going home he called me and asked me to return because he saw oil where my car was parked and put it back on the rack and had the nerve to say that the mechanic said the screw was OVERSIZED That's the same one that Came with the Car in 2006 . Really

They are nice people, but the price is ridiculously high. every part that they order is about double the price, even for original parts. they will do the job fine most likely, but they jack the price like crazy. they also have some stupid fees that they add.Overall I felt like I Pep Boys were taking advantage of me in a very corporate way.
