I do not leave bad reviews but I have to warn others just in case they re like me and don t have 118 dollars to waste on a 20 minute wrong diagnosis. I brought my car in because of a flashing check engine light. I explained to the person at the counter it felt like my engine was misfiring. I waited about 30 minutes for them to get my car in a bay which was very fast I appreciated that but he had my car in there for 20 minutes and came to the computer and typed up a $10,000 ticket saying my engine needs replacing he hears a knocking inside it. There is nothing I can do to fix it and it has to be replaced and they d be happy to do it for me. I didn t believe that for a second I paid $118 for no effort in finding an issue. I paid a guy I know 25 dollars to diagnose and he found the issue very quickly and not to my surprise it was a simple part changeout that fixed the issue. I am just warning customers so they aren t talked into getting things they don t need. Also paying 118 dollars for a terrible diagnosis especially these days is just wrong.

Worst experience ive ever had with car repairs. Got my engine replaced there and within a month my car was broke down again. Then charge me 1200 to replace some sensors , i also had them replace a window regulator and guess what? 4 days later the window stops working and the door lock is now messed up and my alarm goes off every time i get in my car. Save yourself the headache and find a better shop

This location had one of the best prices in the city for a full synthetic oil change. The price is 89.99 excluding taxes however they have a $20 off coupon which brings it down to 69.99. The people are nice and knowledgeable. Will be coming back.

I'm from Canada and was in Memphis for work training back in January. While I was there my muffler rusted apart. Midas did what Honda and other shops weren't able to do and get me back in my car within two days. I was very thankful for this. This is why they got 1 star from me.HOWEVER, I just had my car checked over today by my local mechanic and I was told that my muffler was in rough shape. I guess they bent the pipe to get it to fit in and charged me over $1200 CAD for this repair. My mechanic said that this repair including labor would have cost me just over $300 CAD.All this to say, Midas did a poor job fixing my vehicle and charged me 4 times what it should have. Don't bother coming here!

We hobbled our breaking down car to Midas yesterday 20 minutes before they closed. Our mechanic in Little Rock had neglected to put a part back on the car, so we were in dire straits by the time we made it to Memphis. Brittany and the mechanic working showed no displeasure in staying late to help us out of our situation. The part we needed wasn t at the shop, so the mechanic drove his own car to the hardware shop to get it and put it on the car. By the time it was done, both Brittany and the mechanic were at the shop almost 40 minutes after closing. Brittany let our dogs roam around since they were a little restless. When it came time to settle the bill, they wouldn t take our money!This day in age, honest people are hard to come by. Our faith in humanity is restored by this showing of the kindness of strangers. If you have a problem with your car, do not hesitate to take it to this Midas. They will take care of you!

We had our front brakes replaced within an hour and a half and they done a good job and was professional and courteous.They also told me to let them know if everything is ok and if not bring it in and they will fix anything that goes wrong.We Will come back.

I work right down the road. I ve used their services twice (just oil changes). The price was more than fair. Both times I worked with Fletcher on what my car needed. He is extremely nice and professional. He s very pleasant and seems sincere. I will continue to take my vehicle there for service as long as I work in that area and they continue to employ workers like Fletcher.

BUYERS BEWARE!! DO NOT TRUST THEM TO FIX BIG ISSUES!! Midas was my go to place for the affordable prices and accurate services. I previously had brakes and rotors replaced. Everything was fine. I trusted them to do a bigger job (Air Compressor), paid over 2500.00 for it to be months later and it still doesn t work. I would only trust their mechanics for something as simple as an oil change. After months of back and forth nothing has been resolved and management basically told me to get it fixed somewhere else and they would then SEE if they will reimburse me. They lost a great customer! I would never go back or recommend their services again!

Update: My car has since broken down with the SAME problem Midas allegedly fixed. After paying so much money just go somewhere else!!!Aaron and everyone was super kind and determined to fix the problem my car was having. Very patient with explaining what was going on with my car. I paid $1400 to have a catalytic converter put on. After driving the car less than 200 miles and after 90 day warranty the manager said she couldn t do anything since it was out of warranty. I asked for the district manage number and she wouldn t give me his number. She said she was the only person in charge along with the owner. She then said the owner was on a plane and couldn t be reached. I do understand it was out of warranty but If it was done correctly in the beginning it wouldn t have been a problem. The issue stem from the technician not doing his job properly and Midas manager not attempting to correct the problem. The manager tells me that I would have to pay $150 to pay in labor for the technician to fix the issue. Poor customer service.

Absolutely unprofessional with getting things done in a timely manner. 4 days to get a oil change and fix the AC and heat. Everyday they said it would be finished at the end of that day just to be put off to the next day. No one would call for updates. I had to call to see what was going on. I've brought both my vehicles to Midas for 5 years and this shop here has tarnished the loyalty I've had for Midas. Will not be coming here or to any Midas again in the future.

Didn't rotate tires as signage states that it's free with every oil change. Never got a call from corporate when I filled out a complaint form. They don't care and said it was an old sign but it is posted above the counter and large. Never will I return or recommend this place. Back to Firestone for me and my 4 vehicles.

Worst experience of my life. Went in for a battery replacement, only to be told the cheapest battery they had was $400+ labor.Decided to leave my car for a diagnostic and then found a better shop, so I called less than 15 minutes later to find out if the diagnostic had been done yet, to which they said no, then changed their story once they realized I was taking my car somewhere else.I paid the ridiculous diagnostic fee (which, by the way, is free at several other nearby businesses), then they refused to release my car to me insisting that it wouldn t take a boost or go into neutral and therefore couldn t be moved from their garage, so I d need to either get it fixed or get it towed. They also tried to sell me an alternator I didn t need, once they realized they weren t going to get a battery sale from me.It took me three seconds to find a YouTube video showing me how to release the lock on the gearshift and put my car into neutral, which surely the mechanic knew how to do, but chose not to in an attempt to get more money from me.My fianc� and I rolled my car out of their garage, and wouldn t you know it, we jumped it with no issues after the Midas employees insisted that wouldn t be possible.After spending half my day dealing with these liars, I found another shop that did the job for a fraction of what Midas was demanding, and did it honestly. No surprise, there was nothing wrong with my alternator, either.If I could give Midas zero stars, I would. Most crooked, dishonest business out there. I would absolutely never recommend them to anyone and will NEVER return.

This was my second time visiting the Midas on pleasant view. The first time was not great but I had a group on. This time was just as bad even though the lobby staff is totally different. After he set me up for my oil change things seemed to be going well. After they started I learned that there were some pretty major repairs that I needed to take care of. My brakes and rotors on the front needed to be replaced and my struts as well as 2 tires. After giving me the info he basically pressured me into getting them repaired that day and into a payment arrangement through a third party creditor. I felt pressured into making a rushed decision based on his information. Then he did not give me accurate numbers for the work nor did he give me any information on the payment plan product. He just kept pushing me to sign and pay because it was then after 6:15 pm. I will never go back to this location again. He was so rude that I cancelled getting the tires because he misquoted the price and then tried to up sell me on a product that should have been included in the price. When I cancelled he made remarks to a young woman (who must have delivered the tires to their location) about taking the tires back. I was so angry that if I did not need my car I would ve left it there and they could keep the car and the work they ve done on it.

My Wifes car broke down with starter problems. Midas was right there. Took a chance and had them fix it. All went well they put in new starter. Car was done in a few hours and the price was fair. Happy with their service.

By far the worse service I have EVER HAD!I get there at 4pm. When I walk through the door, the guy asked me what time it was. I advised 4 pm, he smiled. Then, he proceeded to tell everyone who entered after me that they closed at 5pm, so he wouldn't be able to help them until Monday. IT WAS 4:10 AT THAT TIME! The guy took all of my info, keys, and walked to the work bay like he was going to change my oil. He came back around 4:35pm to advise me that he wouldn't be abe to help me either and I could bring my car back on Monday. SMH. I could only laugh because the level of slick unprofessionalism and the " I am so over this day attitude was astounding." I will be sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from this place as its employees prefer it that way.

STOP! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THESE PEOPLE! I've never been more taken advantage of in my life. My clutch pedal sensor was bad so my car wouldn't start without me push starting it. I drove it to Midas and explaind the situation. This should have been a very inexpensive and quick repair but turned into almost $1,500. They replaced several parts, which didn't need to be replaced and I didn't authorize, and kept the car overnight. When I asked for the parts to verify myself that they were bad the salesman said they had been picked up already and were no longer at the store. There are so many details of this experience that I don't feel like reliving/typing but I tried everything to let management know and to come to some kind of agreement. I had multiple written documents of everything, phone calls to regional managers, and customer service, etc. Nothing made any difference. Once I signed to get my car back they had my money and weren't willing to work with me at all. They would "listen" to me forever but that was so I could vent and not to try to understand my side. It was very clear they weren't willing to reason with me or offer any compensation. BUYER BEWARE!!!

We are waiting to have our car serviced but i already love their attitude and courtesy! Came from express lube where I'll never go again! The manager at Midas is very polite and accommodating! I don't mind paying a price to get my car fixed as long as i don't havebto deal with a horrible attitude along with It like i did at Express!

Great customer service! Brittney is very professional and very organized!! I love the Snap program!! Garrett the Technician, took car of me and my vehicle! Used floor mats and seat covers on my car so no dirt would track into it! Shop was very clean, a great store all the way around! Couldn t ask for a better experience! They had me in and out in no time! I will be back, and tell friends and family about this amazing crew!!

I would not use them. The shop manager Jynah tried to swindle an additional $1000 from us after our warranty company agreed to cover all but $115 of our repairs. She lied repeatedly about what the extra charge was for. I spoke to the warranty company and they had agreed to pay the majority of the repairs that Midas requested. None of us could figure out what this extra $1000 was for. Perhaps it was going in her pocket. Either way we have contacted BBB, their corporate office and our legal team. We paid a fee for a diagnosis that we should not have paid since we were lied too and no work was completed. I fully intend to share my experience with fellow attorneys and journalists so that others will not be taken advantage of at this establishment.

I made an appointment for 7:30am and still had to wait til 8:00am for them to even get the part. Why make early appointments if you can't even get parts until 8:00am? Then the oil change price is always different when I go in there. It's crazy how some charge a different rate than others. I had a coupon and it still was much higher than last time I was there. Last time they forgot to reset the light and put sticker in windshield so I told her to make sure he did it this time. So he brings car around and says he reset it through the button on steering wheel, that's not how and where you reset it. Now my oil change light is once again still on, I will not be returning this location!

As usual, the service was efficient, timely, and very professional. Manager, Brian was very detailed in his explanation of the work done to my vehicle and he was also very patient in making me aware of the preventive measures I can take to assure the longevity of my car. Amazing service as usual!

My husband and I were at the Pleasant view location to get our brakes done. When we got there the manager was extremely rude and the person that worked on our car seemed agitated and rude as well. We got there at 12:18 and we left at 3:05. 2 hours after we left we turned on our air and it was blowing out heat and the next day which is today our car stopped. Prior to yesterday we had just gotten an oil change and had our our engine and air checked out and everything was good. When I called the manager she was very rude and laughed about it and said there was no way he did anything wrong. She said she is the manager and they did nothing wrong and laughed some more. This was our first and last time coming to that shop I am very disgusted.

I had a nice experience here. I am not so expert in car issues and fixation. I just walked in this shop to check some issues in the braking system of my vehicle. They seemed to be honest. Johnny, the owner, is a nice guy. They did not charge me for unnecessary things. They fixed my issue so quickly with a reasonable price. I would recommend this shop.

Went for an oil change. They were finished in about 35 min. The guy at the front counter (long hair with glasses) was very polite and patient. Gave me recommendations for my tires. He had great customer service.Their price for an oil change is about $5 too much for me, but as long as I had a coupons, I would continue coming.

This is about Midas on pleasant view but others maybe different. Went there to get muffler work and they told me I needed new muffler which would be over $500 with labor g35 infinite. Also said my catalyst converter needed changing which would be over $4000. Decided to check with meineke in Cordova which is a fantastic and totally honest shop. They said muffler was totally fine and welded it back together in 10 minutes for $75. They also didn t see a need in changing catalyst converter.

The customer service was wonderful and the work was quick. I had to drop my car off overnight and was without a ride home. The mechanic, Garrett, was kind enough to take me home in my car and keep me from walking after working all day in the sun. I will definitely come back.
