Came here on yesterday to get a tune up was told one price over the phone and in person then once the job was patched together he tacked on an extra 340 dollars and refused to give my car back until it was paid. I had to call Mpd and a few family members but my car was returned to me. I just know next time not to go to a shade tree mechanic even if he does have a shopService: General repairs & maintenance

Very nice man charged me 275 dollars to do my brakes when I refused he said he was keeping my car until I paid. By the way my brakes weren t bled properly I still had to pay another mechanic at least they were done correctly this time for not even half the price I paid hereService: BrakesService: Brakes

Own a 2007 Grand Prix, last week during the winter storm my car died and "battery system failure" appreared on dash. When attempting to boost off, once cables were removed, the care would immediately die. Everyone was saying it was the alternator. Had to have car towed home. Once the snow and ice melted, attempted to have my car towed to a different shop on Thomas. While calling the shop to let them know it was on the way, they stated they were no longer on Thomas St. I googled and found M&J, called and asked could I bring it there and had tow truck driver re-route to their shop. They replaced a water pump and belt and my car is back on the road like nothing ever happened. They finished the work in a day's time, were super affordable and fair. I found them on accident but this was the best I could have made for my car and well worth it and I will definitely use them for any mechanic/car repair needs in the future. I will never refer anyone here after I was charged almost 3 thousand dollars for a used transmission I knew something wasn t right but I kept driving until I got home upon getting home I called my husband and told him I felt like something was wrong with the car and that it wasn t driving as I thought a car with a new transmission would it felt almost like it did with the other transmission so when my husband gets home he checked out the car and yes sure enough I was given a used transmission I called this location and the guy says that it was a brand new transmission clearly it was wasn t anyways he tells me to bring it back in to be looked at so we did this time I m charged $104 dollars for a diagnostic and he refused to give back my keys until paid at this point I m having to take actionServices: Transmission, Transmission replacement
