I Have a Nissan Maxima and It Just Wouldn t Crack They Towed My Car There and I had Diagnosis Next Day and Fixed That Same Day and Was Able to Pick Up Same Day.. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!!!

They are racist!! Everytime he does major work something else goes wrong or it s not fixed correctly. When you call him out in his work they un-customer you. The motor was supposed to have a warranty but they will not honor it. I asked where they bought it he said the junk yard. I asked where the old motor is he said he sent it back for the core. When I asked for the paperwork he said it s his and we can t see it. Bottom line he did not replace the motor he did a head job but he lied and said he replaced the motor and charged us $7000. Two months later it s running hot and we barely put 100 miles on the car because it hasn t been running since we picked it up. Do not use this shop!!Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Auto A/C recharge, Engine repair, Transmission replacement, Auto A/C replacement

All the people giving good reviews must be friends and family or haven t had any real work done to your car. Brakes and oil changes do not count. They can t fix an oil leak, transmission, motor, ac none of the big stuff. You will leave and the next day your car is in worse condition then before. I wouldn t take my electric go cart to this place!! He can t accept new customers because his regulars come everyday because they can t fix the original problem and cause other problems so you can come back. Don t question anything he says he will never work on your car again. Please stay away from this place.Services: Transmission, Steering & suspension repair, Engine repair, Transmission replacement

Honest, dependable and do great work at a reasonable rate. Been going there for years and will continue to do so. Wouldn t bring my cars anywhere else. Highly recommend.

This husband and wife owned business is truly one of the best! They and their mechanics never cease to amaze me with their honesty and hard work. They always go above and beyond to please their customers. It is very rare to find auto repair shops with the integrity that J&L has been consistent with for many years.

I've gone to J & L Auto Services for 4 plus years and have always been very pleased with their professional service and how they have taken care of my cars, and as a result me, through the years. They have always been honest with me. I have highly recommended them through the years and will continue to do so.

I'm a student at UTHSC and have been looking for a mechanic for a few years. J&L quickly diagnosed my problem and fixed my car within the day. They provided services for just what was necessary and their prices were good. The customer service was 10/10. The best customer service I've ever experienced as a female customer in a auto repair shop PERIOD! I was not made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about, nor was I made to feel like I was being taken advantage of or cheated. J&L have always had great prices and great turnaround. I would highly recommend this auto repair company.

Had my car problems and I am from out of state for daughters treatments at st. Jude didnt know where to take our vehicle. Gladly looked on google and pointed me here.Best customer service I have ever gotten. John the owner was a nice guy even gave me a ride back to hospital. After a few hours my car was ready.Thanks again J & LGreat priceGreat serviceGreat business

Just had a fantastic experience here. They were able to see me quickly and take care of my relatively simple problem at a reasonable price without trying to up-sale me. Also everyone was ridiculously pleasant!!! Definitely will be coming back here with any car issues and will be referring everyone within ear shot.

Went there once first my car by suggestion of a coworker. Had an issue another time with wifes car, advised to spend tremendous amount for engine.John found the issue, and was not nealy as bad as national franchise company tried to sell me. He's worked on all 3 cars for years now.Also he looked at my second car we purchased, and advised well. Again, very accommodating, as well is his kind wife. Trust their recommendations with confidence.

Took my car there for a ecm and oil change intake manifest finally picked the car up when it was ready drove it and oil is leaking and all of sudden and he car running hot now they saying that a head gasket is blown I haven t had a problem with oil or coolant until now then when I told them what was going on they want to argue and get smart like I m just lying I would not recommend anyone to come her very bad service. I most definitely will be filing a claim against them

I took my car in to get a oil leak fix on my oil pan, and they looked at it, and quoted me a price of 2,200 dollars, he said I had oil leaks everywhere, l knew this was a big Lie, because I had everything on my Honda fix or replaced, my cousin is a mechanic, he is the only one that works on my Honda,I finally took it to my cousin, and he told me the oil pan had a leak, and it only charged me 200 dollars, J&L was trying to have a big payday at my expense, I want to let everyone know, please proceed with caution, these people at J&L will over charge you. Please beware of this company.

I brought my car in for front end and steering issues. They quoted me several hundred dollars but stated that if I got an idle arm and a pitman arm things would be much better. I've now paid for both and things are much worse. When I called to tell them I was dissatisfied, the owner told me I couldn't "fix my car bits and pieces". If that was the case, I don't understand why they didn't educate me on that in the first place.

Pleasant experience here. Got to deal directly with the owner, John. He explained exactly what was wrong and what they needed to do to fix it. His wife even dropped me off around the corner, to get something to eat. By the time I was done lunch. My car was done. Thanks you J & L!

The repair work was supposedly completed, however, the original problem was not properly repaired. Owner has carefree attitude about doing work substandard and doesn't mind blaming other issues as the cause if his repair work not working properly, however he does nothing to correct the issue or show any concern for resolution. Very poor repair shop and attitude. You pay properly and the repair shop legally steals your money through substandard parts or work. And sadly they act like they don't give a damn.

An honest mechanic that knows what they are doing is worth their weight in gold. These are good people who truly know cars. I can't recommend these guys highly enough! Friendly, knowledgeable, honest, what more could you possibly ask for?

Best Shop in Memphis, Hands Down! (2006 Saturn Vue).I had very good professionals attempt to diagnose my issue for days and this shop had the problem fixed in a day. You will risk taking your vehicle to any shop before stopping here. Save yourself the diagnostic fees from other places. Thank you guys to pieces.

I will agree that John is a nice guy. That is until today. I have a Jeep that I have spent 6k with John putting in a new engine, fuel pump, electronic ignition, carb, Ect ect ect. Every thing John suggested, I did. I took him my Jeep after they put a new motor in because of a rough idle. He suggested part, after part, after part. All of which I paid him for. I took it to him for the 7th or 8th time because the vehicle would die at every red light. Remember I just spent 6k making it run right. John said leave it here, I will get it right . After 2 weeks he called and told me to pick it up . I asked Is it fixed? His reply was as good as I can do it . I picked it up 20 minutes later and it died at the next red light. Being extremely frustrated, I took it to another shop. Redwine Automotive. I with 24 hours of dropping it off they called and had found the problem. The electronic ignition that John had put on was installed incorrectly as well as the coil that they put on was wired backwards. I got my Jeep back and took it and the bill ($532) to John and as him to reimburse me for the repair bill since he had suggested these two items and had installed them incorrectly. That s when I began getting cursed out and asked to leave his business. I said Is this how you want to respond to someone who has spent this much money and sent you countless customers? His answer was yes. I want to be perfectly clear. I have nothing against him personally, but this is a very poor way to end a relationship. I assume the attorneys will have to settle this one. It would just have been so much easier for him to do the right thing
