I preferred to deal with Terrence. I have been coming to this location for a few years now. I always wait. So I get there at 7:30 in the morning and usually stay for 5 or more hours. I only have the one car and don't want to pay for a rental and the usually expensive maintenance. The maintenance alone is enough. I have started believing that perhaps they fix one thing but break something else because lately not long after having work done something else goes wrong and I'm back again to spend even more money. For example, I had problems with my passenger front power window. I took it there waited as usual hours and was told by the guy called Mario it was all messed up and was given a price of over $1,600.00, yeah ridiculous I know. I ended up taking it somewhere else and paid a little bit over $300.00. I haven't had any problems with that window since. Do you see the difference with what I saved? I am a single mother with a child who has Autism, a veteran, and was a loyal customer who has spent a whole lot of money at that location. This to me is not valuing or respecting loyalty, or at least my loyalty. Honesty is a trait desperately lacking with many of these "businesses". I feel my business, loyalty, and patience was not valued here. So, I will no longer waste my time.

I arrived 20 minutes after opening, requesting a wheel alignment. David (Sales) instantly said, "We can't do that today". Gateway closes at 5:30pm. Young lady next to him says "We have a lot of cars left over from Saturday." Please don't waste your time or energy going to Gateway Tire for tire services.

I have been coming to this particular gateway service center for years and I usually have great service. Today I spoke on the phone with Cheyanne who was helpful and pleasant. She took care of exactly what I needed.When I returned to pay, I spoke with Terrence. He probably shouldn t speak to customers because his ability to communicate respectfully could use some tuning up.I live within range of several other tire shops. Because of Terrence s arrogance and dismissiveness, I will no longer patronize this establishment.

I have coming to this store for at least 15 years. I ve always been treated respectfully and Terrence has been there as long as I ve been coming. I ve never heard him be disrespectful with anyone. The review that belittled him, I would like to hear Terrence s side.

My wife and I took our vehicle in this morning at 7:30 to get an estimate and a brake repair. At 12:30, I go back to sit in the lobby and my horn is intermittently chirping (6 times while I was there). I m thinking Okay, this is going to drain the new battery I just put in. So, I go to talk to Terrance, and I get this I don t care/what are you talking about attitude. After a few minutes of conversation and explaining to him that I recorded the intermittent honking, I realized that I can t get any work completed on our vehicle so I leave. My wife has taken 2 of our car here before and said she was happy with the work. When I returned so that my wife could pick up the car that I drove. She went in and was told that something was probably pushing the button on the key (the same thing I tried to explain to Terrance when I was there - check my key, stop the honking so that my battery isn t drained). I might try another location.

Requestee and charged for a tire rotation. Tires were not rotated on my truck. I Was a certified wheel and suspension mechanic for 10 years. I know when they was and wasn't done. Ridiculous!!!! When brought up to the service writer he just laughed at us. There wasn't even hand prints on the rims through the dirt come on now no matter if you wear gloves or not theres gonna be evidence the wheels were touched. Gateway will never get any of my business again or anyone i know vehicles either

It took 4 hours to get a 15 minute oil change.y car was just sitting in the stall for about an hour & then I saw another car go into the stall get service & back out. You would think they would have someone doing just oil changes so customers won't have to wait as long to get in & out. Every mechanic should know how to do a oil change. He just taking his little time. 1 star is all I have for this store.

The ONLY reason why I stopped at this location is because it is 3 minutes from me. I went in for low tire, just needing air and service rep told me it will be 1hr and 30 minutes. For air?? I went to the Gateway on summer and was in and out. This is the reason why I stopped going to this location.

So this business is awesome! I went there to get a tire either fixed or replaced towards the end of the day. They fixed it promptly and efficiently, and at a great price. The manager is super nice and professional and the mechanics are real pros, I cannot say enough good things about this place. They are superb!

I enjoy coming to this location because they treat you like family. Nick, Terrance, and Mario are the best! They always explain the issue to me in terms that i can understand and provide me with great customer service. They even helped me with my two year old twin girls. The price was reasonable and they didn't do any work until they informed me of the cost, giving me the choice as a customer (I like that a lot).

Gateway on Covington Pike lives up to it's reputation. Always heard about it, but now I've had the pleasure of experiencing it. Great customer service, great prices, knowledgeable technicians and great atmosphere.

I must say I've been there several times today was kind of awkward because it wasn't on my schedule so I was in a rush as usual I've met a few of the gas there their hospitality always on point and seems to never change. It just took me to have some patience and I was out of there a couple hours earlier than I thought. Their practicing really good social distance so I'm comfortable going there and then I appreciate it but of course I would recommend to go to Gateway Tires and Covington Pike it would be an excellent choice you just got to have patience

BEWARE!! I went in just to get an alignment and they told me that they were required to perform an inspection. When they came back from the inspection they gave me a long list of repairs that would cost $1,995. Something told me to pay the $67 inspection fee and get out of there. I took my car to my mechanic who found a couple of issues but almost all of the items on the list from Covington Place GATEWAY were totally false. I paid my mechanic $400 for the repairs he performed and will NEVER go to Covington Place GATEWAY again. I urge everyone to stay away from these shysters.

Excellent service. Need to mention tire promo when ordering full sets of tires please . The management & staff greet you upon arrival, the place is very clean & spacious. No hard sales. Thank you Mr.M.Hentz,A+

This location is horrible. They slow and they really don't like to help the customer here at the location. The Bartlett location is much better! I also purchased a set of tires at this location and the next day my back tire was already leaking air. These people at your location don't like to do they job. I hate this location.

The service was great. The store was clean and neat. I was served within 10 minutes of my arrival. I felt no pressure to purchase anything nor to have the work done there. The conversation about the work to be done was relaxing and informative. Looking forward to being a regular customer. I will gladly recommend this store and chain to family and friends.

If I could give it less than one star I would. I went on 12/13/2021 at 7:30 am for an oil change and a tire rotation. Should be a pretty quick visit right? Wrong. Instead what ended up happening was I didn't get to leave until 11. They broke 2 nuts on the same tire so they had to replace stud and lug nut, now I'm not saying negligence or they did it on purpose but my total bill ended up being over $250 for what was supposed to be a routine visit. They asked me if I was fine with the price before they ordered the part like I had a choice in the matter. What other option did I have? Driving on a tire held on by 3 lug nuts and hope?I won't be going back. I advise anyone else not to go.

This place is amazing!! I drove up needing 2 rear tires and they took care of me within 30 minutes!! They were so friendly and courteous and the place is spotless on the inside and outside. Very inviting. I will be returning! Oh, and they do oil changes too!! I had no idea!! Thanks guys!! I give you 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!!

That place is a scam! I came in for a simple patch tire, and once they see my tire and the nail, they came to tell me that my tire is no good and need a new one. They refuse to patch it, and try to scare me to getting a new tire. I wasn t born yesterday, I know when a tire is bad or worst and needs to be replace. My tire is still good, those jacks#*@ just want to make an extra buck off me.

I went to this location and bought a set of tires for my husband's truck. I must say that I experienced the best service from Mario and his crew. My wait time was minimal, and they thoroughly inspected my truck. They let me know exactly what I needed to keep my truck in tip top shape. We will definitely be going back.

Best first experience ever. If I could I ll give 20 more stars. I can t remember his name but the guy at the front desk EXCELLENT customer service. Very nice people. I highly recommend! They truly only care about helping their customers. I went to 3 different tire shops & they all told me it wasn t anything wrong , I came here right before closing & they found & fixed the problem in 20 mins & fixed it for FREE. They didn t care about when they closed they got the job done. My heart was very full. Again, HIGHLY recommend.

Absolutely AMAZING service and really quick. I was in and out in 25 minutes, I was told it would be an hour (which isn t bad either) but 25 minutes was amazing!All the men working the front counter were great and definitely put the customer first. 25/10 recommend and will always come back.

First time customer and definitely will be back for any tires in the future. Nick, who works at the front desk, provides superior customer service. I came in looking for tires and he greeted me asked what he could help me with. I wasn't sure exactly what I needed, so he quickly grabbed a pen and paper and ran out to my car to check the size of my tires. He then proceeded to run through the options to find the best quality, price, and needs for vehicle. The shop looked extremely busy and it says something about his commitment to customer service, that he took his time to do all this during a busy time for the shop. Go see Nick!

I have trusted Gateway Tire on Covington Pike for auto servicing for several years. The entire staff is courteous, friendly and professional when answering questions regarding repairs. My experiences with this Gateway have always been fast, reliable and reasonably priced service. More importantly, unlike some other repair shops that I have used, any items left in my car are there when I return and the interior is just as I left it. I love that degree of honesty and care.

Great Customer Service and they took care of my car in a timely matter.Terrance handle everything with a smile the entire time we were there. if I could rename him, I would call him HOLLYWOOD . I watched the entire staff greet every customer with great customer service skills as they entered the store. I said to my cousin, The management team have great customer service skills and the Team members also. If I could give them 10 stars I would!!! Great Job!!

This place took me for a flat tire when the Gateway near me declined me even though I told them I might not make it to another Gateway. These people told me to come over right away on the phone, and when I got there, the man I spoke with recognized me and got help immediately. Not only did they fix my tire, but they didn't charge me due to the circumstances. He seemed confused/upset about the way I was treated at the other Gateway and that showed me these people really care about their customers and their safety. I should not have been turned back to the road with a flat tire and Gateway on Covington Pike knew that all too well and made sure to get me taken care of. This is DEFINITELY the Gateway you should trust in the Memphis area!

Once again I went to Gateway Tire on Covington Pike. Terrence is the man. Always very profession, polite and very knowledgeable.
