Jason was so nice! I ended up not needing service. He was so kind and patient. I highly recommend him for his customer service. That is rare these days with big shops. It's nice to have someone who truly cares.

I had a great experience with Dunn's. They treated me with respect and provided me with great detail about what I could expect. Good place to go to for transmission/differential work. The front differential in my tbss went out and I had it towed to Dunn's. John was very knowledgeable, helpful and communicative during the process of diagnosing the issue and sourcing parts.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Dropped my TBSS off to have it looked at to see why it wasn t shifting correctly. John and Jason are great!! It took awhile to get fixed but they figured out my Fuse block was the problem causing the tcm to short out and cause the transmission not to shift correctly. Used them in the past to rebuild the transmission that s in the truck. Highly recommend if your having transmission issues to take it to the experts for your repair needs!!Services: Transmission, Electrical

As bad a situation as having your transmission go out, Dunn's helped me through it. The manager took time out of his day and drove with me to my house a few blocks away to see if it was a simple fix. Since it required a complete rebuild and the value of the car was worth much less than the cost of repair, we ended up selling the car to them. If anyone I know has any transmission problems, I'll send them to Dunn's first. I can't vouch for their work obviously, but the customer service was great.

After having a long talk with Jason from Dunn's I took back up there so he could look at it. He had his guys to take care of the problem I had and didn't charge me anything to fix it. So with that being said Dunn's transmission did take care of my truck and now I'm very pleased with the understanding that I had with Jason and the job they did. So reposting this to say thanks Jason for making things right!

This is the worst place to go to they lie and have your car extremely to long they are not good mechanics and when your car in their for one thing they swear u need other things so that will have to spend more money

When i dropped my car off the shop manager was being extremely rude to a customer as he confiscated her car. My own personal car was drained of gas, and returned to me with notches cut in the fuel lines. I paid over seven hundred dollars to have some minor work performed, and come to find out, they not only neglected half of the work, they siphoned my gas, refilled it with WATER, and stole some minor personal effects I had inside the car. Do yourself a favor and avoid this shop at all costs.The other Dunn's shops around the city shut down, and is currently not run by the same people.

Excellent work on both my cars, a 300zx with a busted slave cylinder, and a Dodge Dakota V* extended cab, same problem. Both times they only needed to work on the parts that were faulty, saving time and money; and they were also able to troubleshoot other problems - One I had not spotted on the truck, I had recently purchased it online and it did not have a front axle driveshaft! This was worrying, but they were able to source one and install it as well and it works great (assuming the previous Florida owner removed it to save a little gas money and never re installed it when they traded). Excellent troubleshooters.

The owners are customer friendly. They are fair and honest about what's going on with your vehicle. They do not make you wait long and fix things in a timely manner. Highly recommend if you need any transmission work done.

Jason was great, he was not afraid the work on my 1984 V W, Vanagon. Dunn s transmission finished the job in a timely manner. Dunn s has worked on my van Many times, they just finished rebuilding the vans brakes . Thanks Jason .

Dunn s Transmission on poplar are very unprofessional and they over charge for the work they do. They lied and said my mom s truck was in front of a camera area and allowed the vehicle to be vandalized. We will never use this company again and I wouldn t recommend anyone to use their services. I went to them thinking I had a major problem. I explained my issues and made them aware it was an insurance claim. They checked it out and turns out it was just some wires that needed to be replaced. I'm so impressed because there are places that will overcharge just because of claim. I would recommend them anytime.

Extremely kind and helpful folks. Patient explanations and quick service. No one else in town would take a look at my rare car but they didn't hesitate. I'll definitely be going back.

I had 4l80e build by them Transmssion did not have reverse nor did it have the right size torque converter and to put the icing on the cake they wouldn t even stand behind their Warrenty I wasted 3400 with theses guys do yourself a favor and keep lookingService: TransmissionService: Transmission

Well I wish upon a Half a star but not a option. I scheduled for pick up to get diagnosis but a pick up never happened. I scheduled twice, on the first heartache I waited two hours over the schedule time. Called Sarah which she promised a driver was headed to my home. A hour after the two hours driver NEVER showed. Then only to try and give DUNN'S TRANSMISSION (Poplar Ave. Memphis, Tn) the benefit of doubt I rescheduled. (BAD BAD DECISION) Second try Pick up scheduled for 9AM few days later and no one ever showed. Recieved missed call that day at 2:37PM Remember now the pick up was scheduled for 9AM. NO ONE SHOWED!! Text Sarah then she lied said they called at 9AM but after showing her a screenshot (Proof) they never called and only received a missed call at 2:37PM that evening of scheduled pick up, Sarah never responded. Very unprofessional and bad service. Do Not Trust Anything They Say. Picture of ScreenShot 5 hour later missed call (scheduled for 9AM) Just ridiculous.

First off I called and Mr.Michael was very pleasant and polite he scheduled my appointment for three next day and wheni walked in he made me feel like i were the only customer they had in the world but what really made my life better were the mechanic told me the truth about my car after 2 professional shop's were trying to tell me I had an transmission problem but the whole time I didn't have an transmission problem but he fix my car and save me thousands of dollars

The location is kinda hard to get to but the people that work there are very nice. The building it's self is made up really great and is very clean. I can't say anything about their prices because I haven't paid yet, but I will let you know soon.

Dealt with John he was very professional. I had a Nissan transmission replaced in my 2006 Murano. Everything went as expected price wise and time I am very pleased.

Got me in and out same day. Fluid flush, and a solenoid change. Will return for future trans needs. Great communication as well. They sent me a picture of my fluid/trans pan once they dropped it.

If you need transmission work this is place to go you can't be open for 10 plus years and have the knowledge that these men have and stay open they had my car for 5 days found all my problems and fixed them for a reasonable price who can ask for anything else

They are to slow to many car's , had car for a month, did not check it out, Mr. Michael told me they were looking and checking it out, but wasn't doing anything when I just pop in to check. Had my truck pull back home. It is worse ,could drive it a little at first.

Worse place . I left my car at this place for three hours. When I came back they said nothing was wrong with the transmission. Now I have a worse problem than what I started with because I was steered into the wrong direction about getting my car fix.
