Mr Wade is a one of a kind manager. U remember back in the 80s when u had that one mechanic that wouldn t lie to u and helped u out every chance he got? That s Mr Wade. I ve dealt with Coleman Taylor now for 25 years and I m only 40. I wouldn t go anywhere else even if they said they would do it cheaper.Definitely recommend them for any and all transmission needs in the mid south area.

Customer was extremely good! I would say this if your having transmission problems ride it until it goes out the about your going to spend regardless it really doesn't matter.They extremely busy so plan on a rental car if you don't have a second car.Be ready to spend big bucks not the little bucks.

The Stage Road location did a great job on my 1948 Fluid Drive transmission. They were in possession of my car for more than 3 months only due to the difficulty of locating replacement parts and my fully restored New Yorker did NOT suffer a single scratch.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

They were very friendly and extremely helpful. I had taken it to another shop and they told me my transmission problem was a strut. I m not a mechanic but am glad I put my car in the hands of talented capable people who identified and had the problem fixed within 2 weeks. Excellent service. The clutch in my 1993 Mustang GT went out. Moat shops were unwilling to even look at it because it was a manual transmission. The people at Coleman Taylor were honest and upfront about everything and when I went to pick the vehicle up there were no hidden fees or other confusion. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Memphis area in need of transmission work. A+ Would give them 6 stars if I could.

Great experience from start to finish. They're a awesome group of people to know. They keep you informed about your car and they give you a accurate estimate on job time. Overall I felt like family whenever I talked with them. I'd definitely recommend to anybody looking for quality transmission work. I contacted Coleman Taylor for service on my vehicle and was pleasantly surprised with the customer service from start to finish. The receptionist explained everything that would take place. We spoke with Wade who said he would take good care of our car and have it ready soon. It literally took 2 days to fix our car and we were able to pick it up. Excellent experience! My truck let me and my family down heading to my mother's funeral in New Jersey from Texas. Bob and Wade understood the situation and got us going again. Even though it was a rough time for our family these guys did their best to ease the pain. Awesome bunch of guys here. Again thanks a bunch for getting us back on the road to our family.

This was a call ahead inquiry for a transmission diagnosis. The lady that answered was very pleasant and thorough in explaining how they work there. I found it a little odd as it seems that they place their customers vehicles in a queue as opposed to scheduling work when the technicians are available. So the car or truck will sit on their lot for a day or two before anyone actually takes a look at it.

This is hands down the only place in Memphis to take your vehical for transmission problems. I was on a deadline traveling to a new job and they were able to get my truck in and repaired before my start date. If there is anyone who can help you get back on the road in a timely fashion its these guys. They don't make appointments.Reply: I mean would you have a record of someone calling...I did talk to the manager on the phone and he told me just to bring it in and they'd look at it when they could/even though I was trying to make an appointment to limit the car just sitting.

I took my Honda Civic in because the transmission seemed to be slipping on me. After they ran the diagnostic, I was told that there was a part on the transmission that wasn t working properly and causing fluid to leak. Fine, I went into this fully expecting to spend some serious money. But then they told me I would need to replace the whole transmission and that it was OVER $8000 to do so. My car s only worth that much so I asked them if they could just replace the part. They told me that they don t rebuild transmissions anymore because of the pandemic?? And that if I did find someone to replace the part they d have to go through the whole transmission and it would be just as costly as replacing. I was pretty defeated, but I wasn t paying $8000 regardless so I picked up my car and took it to the dealership. They diagnosed it with the same problem and replaced the part in 3 hours for $400. I feel like Coleman Taylor tried to rob me. Please, please get a second opinion if you bring your car here.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic
