Peace. of. Mind.Josh, Jamie, Jasper and Greg - you gave me a peace of mind with my son's Jeep when another local Memphis auto repair shop shamelessly failed us. ANYTIME I have ANY auto repair needs - transmission or general auto - Coleman Taylor Transmissions on Winchester Rd will be on my speed dial. This group of professionals take PRIDE in their work, and it shows in their customer service and extreme attention to detail. Exceptional service and work! If I could give them 100 stars I would. My transmission went out in my car and the initial shop I towed it to quoted me 5,300.00. I was referred to Coleman and to my shock they diagnosed my car the same day. Quote came in at 3,515. The work was done in a couple of days and they were so professional and nice. If you want it done right, for a good price, and excellent service this is your place!Service: Transmission

Great experience at this business! Chris was very reassuring that he would figure out what the cause was to why my transmission was having issues. Not long after, I received a phone call that Jasper located what was going on with my vehicle and fixed it. Very happy with the service, I had a transmission rebuilt for our Honda Odyssey and it runs great and the price was reasonable and what they originally quoted. My only concern was I would have liked more timely communication. I was not contacted once during the two weeks for the repair. I had to call a couple times to verify our vehicle was ready.

Even with issues incurred with CarShield, they worked with me and helped me along the process of getting me taken care of to the best of their availability. Josh and Jamie at Coleman Taylor transmission in Mphs,TN at 385 and Winchester are truly amazing people and there employees did a fantastic job. Very satisfied with my work done to my 2015 Chevy Silverado. Transmission was shot and they had me in and out the door in a couple of days. Coleman Taylor came highly recommended with what we thought was a transmission issue. Upon a test drive & Scan for codes by the manager it was determined there was NOT a transmission issues but the code he read undictated a bad Crankcase Speed Sensor...a much easier fix with a $70.00 part. Coleman Taylor doesn't do that kind of work & made a couple recommendations & the part was replaced & we were back on the road. Coleman Taylor did not charge for their time & honesty that's to be commended in this day & age!! A BIG THANK YOU FOR YOUR GENEROSITY! I took my 2020 Jaquar in for a transmission flush, they did a great job. When I took my car in it was hesitating very badly and was not changing gears properly. When I got my car back it was perfect in every way I flew down 285 with no problems. They're honest and dependable I was not pressured into getting any repairs I didn't need. The price was a fraction of what I was expected to pay. I will be using them from now on all my vehicles. I highly recommend Coleman Taylor. Keep up the good work.Service: Transmission

Don t trust! Get a second opinion! I went into the store (Winchester) explain my new issue with the car. I had the codes checked at O Riley s. It stated I had low transmission fluid. B/c my car didn t have a transmission dip sticks couldn t be check, need dealer or transmission place to do it. Went to Coleman before I could tell what was wrong & they didn t inspect car. I needed a rebuilt transmission $4k. I asked 4 fluid change he said no. They kept over night & they yea need rebuilt. Took car to dealer the next day they changed fluid $300 no issues afterwards. Had a really great experience working with these guys trying to get my Mercedes back on the road. They helped me work through my options, after I had essentially driven the car into the ground. The quality of customer service and professionalism was superior. Their responsiveness to questions/phone messages was very timely. Jamie and Josh actually care about their customers. This is my 2nd review for this location where they have gone an extra mile for me, which *they didn't have to do.* I asked Jamie to do a bench build for me, and had it installed at a later date. The transmission works great. But we discovered some unforseen damage to my exhaust system. We talked it out, like gentlemen, and came to an arrangement that left me feeling like a valued customer. Although I did have to piece my newly "custom" exhaust back together in the parking lot before driving off, I went back to their shop several times for help; small odds and ends here and there. I eventually got the old dog home. But they are a busy shop, with a ton of customers. If you are patient with them, they will treat you with respect and hear your every concern. This is the only Coleman Taylor Shop I will go to in Memphis. Thanks for everything Jamie. - The White Avalanche owner.Services: Transmission, Exhaust

These folk are awesome; I had my transmission rebuilt last year. As you know mechanical devices are not perfect and don t last forever. At the completion of the work I asked the manger (Brian) how long the work was good for and he replied If we do the work you will never have to come back but you will get this 12 year 120000 mile warranty. Wow I was impressed. So 2 weeks and 300 miles out of warranty I started to have problems with gears slipping. I was so upset and devastated that my transmission was messing up and of course here I am thinking it s out of warranty what can I do. I contemplated on calling to see how much it was going to cost to get it fixed because I sure didn t have a 1700 to dish out. After a week of worrying I called them and told them, what was happening and they said it sounded like my transmission. I asked how much was it gonna cost and he replied "nothing we will fix under warranty, we are not going to debate over 300 miles beyond what we warranted, bring it in." It did take longer than it was than they thought to repair as parts had to be ordered but they fixed it and waved the deductible because it took longer. WOW these guys are great and very professional and really believe in taking care of their customers. To Brian and his staff God bless and keep up the great service.

Amazing experience on a pretty rough day! After visiting 3 other shops, we ended up here. These guys looked after me and my teammates when we were traveling to a bicycle race. They gave great advice and have fair rates and expectations. I'm out of town and felt extremely well taken care of. I'd visit again if car troubles arise out of town again. Knowledgeable and competent, these are your guys for sure!

My son's transmission died on his way home from college. We happened to take it to Coleman Taylor on Winchester in Memphis. We had to leave the car since we all had work to get back to in Wisconsin. So they gave us a quote and we agreed to have the transmission rebuilt and come back to get the car.Marvin the service manager kept me well informed on the process. He also kept every promise as it pertains to the price I was quoted. Even with the dificulties of the repair that he easily could have added to the price. He stood behind his original quote.I would recommend this transmission repair facility to anyone. They did a great job!

I went thereabout a week ago.....My car was looked at within an hour. I had to use the ladies Room which they offered a ladies and a men's Room which was super clean and I was very impressed by that. They go above and beyond their services I had my car cleaned and they took off 2 parts and I asked the technician if he could help me figure out how to put him back on and he had him back on within 2 seconds . They did not try to tell me that my car needed anything. I know being a single person sometimes people think I don't know about vehicles because I am a lady and I get taken advantage of and they did not tell me that I needed anything which was a shock because everywhere I go it's always something. I also Saw the technician drive my car 2 or 3 � 2 verify his knowledge and I was really impressed by that . There was one minor issue and he came to a conclusion and had it vexed and I was out of there within Maybe 45 minutes. Always prompt and clean and welcoming at the door .They do a great job and provide a great service . Go there!!!!!

We brought in our vehicle today to get a quotation on a transmission rebuild. At the GMC dealer we had paid $160 to find out that a new transmission was needed, and we waited for more than two days for a response. Coleman Taylor responded within three hours, and gave us a free estimate. We decided not to proceed, but not a reflection on the business; instead we had to recognize that the value of the car just did not demand the expense of the repair.Service: Transmission

WOW !!! What an amazing company. I was driving my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder(it has 199,000 miles) back to Memphis from Colorado when I felt a problem. My mechanic in Durango looked over the car before I left and said everything looked great(I had taken it to him 3 times prior with transmission concerns and he said it was just fine). Upon arriving in Memphis I drove straight to Coleman Taylor on Winchester(where else do you go for transmission work right?) Short story long, Nick Coleman and his team Marvin and Tanya are AMAZING to work with. I've been in sales/customer service for 25 years and this crew is by far the most courteous, friendly and professional that I have dealt with. Great communication from everyone. A true heart felt THANK YOU for making a terrible situation much, much better. YOU ALL ROCK !!!!!! I would recommend this company to EVERYONE!! Coleman-Taylor.....The BEST !!
