There's a reason for all the 5 star reviews Awesome experience and we found our new mechanic. Brought in my 95 Suzuki mini truck that we use on our farm. It had some bad oil leaks and needed some TLC. He also did some key preventative maintenance improvements like belts and other key engine seals. Jameis is very reasonable with his labor and parts. His communication skills are excellent too. Highly recommendService: Engine repair

Couldn t recommend this guy more, everyone in Knoxville told me no bc of the age and rarity of my car but he did right be me. Fixed more issues than I can remember for a price I probably wouldn t have gotten anywhere in the country. I don t trust anyone else with my car and I recommend him to everyone I know. From small to big problems this Is your guy. I bought a vehicle from a local dealer that sells *as is* vehicles. Within a month my car was having bad problems. I found out about My Car Guy from a manager at AutoZone. It took me all summer to save, and I was able to get my car towed to My Car Guy. I knew of some problems, and when he got back to me, he explained some other major issues he found. I was expecting it to take a week or so, and he had it fixed by the next day. I picked it up on a Wednesday. That Sunday, I was in Pigeon Forge, and my car messed up again. I had it towed back to My Car Guy. He was able to look at it that Tuesday and explained to me that an oil leak from the previous problem had caused two belts to stretch and break, which caused rubber to fly all over my engine. So, I spent a lot of money within a one week period. All in all, don't buy *as is* cars from local car dealers, but if you're in the Maynardville area, do let My Car Guy fix them.

We had our head gasket replaced by the car guy. We brought him the parts and he agreed to use those parts to replace our gaskets. We get our vehicle back and within 2 days it starts overheating again. So we thought he didn t do a good enough flush on the system. We end up flushing the system better, and it helped some. Then our vehicle started to die on us while we were driving. So we thought it might also have a fuel pump or filter issue. Come to find out. This man didn t replace the spark plugs, he didn t tell us they needed replaced either. He also didn t put our spark plug wires on correctly either, and we have proof of that. We ended up having to take our vehicle to another mechanic who now believes that due to this man s faults, our head gasket may need replaced again. We have contacted this man multiple times about what was happening with our vehicle after he fixed it, and all this man could say was, I usually don t use the parts you gave me. Also that he don t know what to do about it! Then why would you agree to use them? Why would you agree to fix my vehicle with them?? Why did you NOT put my spark plug wires on correctly?? Why didn t you tell me we needed new spark plugs??? I will NEVER go back to this guy again! I will NOT be recommending him as well! We WILL be getting a lawyer as soon as we get full proof, from the new mechanic, that this issue was caused my the car guys mistakes! We paid a great amount to have our vehicle fixed! Not to have multiple other issues, that we NEVER had before, caused due to the car guys mistakes! He might be good at other, smaller jobs, but PLEASE do NOT use him for engine work!Service: Engine repair

I was quoted a price for what I thought might be wrong. He did very thorough job on finding what the problem was I couldn't find . He could of charged to fix what I thought was wrong and what really was wrong. He didn't . Great communication on what needed to be done before he did the repairs. Came out a lot cheaper than I was expecting and ahead of schedule. A great mechanic , very knowledgeable. Takes pride in his work. He definitely has my business from here on out . Honest and a really nice guy . Great prices . I highly recommend my car guy . Will be recommending him to my family. I can't say enoughService: Engine repair

Amazing service, highly recommend! I showed up unexpected because i was recommended from auto-zone to go see him, and even though he had a lot of work to do, he still took the time to install a coil pack for me. This is the greatest experience I have ever had with a mechanic and will definitely be returning. He immediately knew what was wrong with my car and gave me apples to feed to the horses next door while I waited. If you need help he is the man to see :)Service: General repairs & maintenance

After getting screwed by multiple shops around town a friend recommended "my car guy" let me tell you I will not be going to any other shops! First time customer and, I can now say, I will use The Car Guy for ALL vehicle repairs and maintenance. I contacted The Car Guy (first) because he was local and (second) because the google reviews were good. Jamis explained to me common issues with my make and model of vehicle. He explained the work that he felt was needed and the pros and cons of doing the service in whole or in part. We talked about some additional work that would be needed, but he gave me a timeline and didn't try to upsell me to do it NOW. Most importantly, Jamis explained things to me in a thorough manner - but NEVER in a way that I felt spoken down to. As a female, that is HUGE when it comes to vehicles and repairs. Had mechanical issues with 2007 Ridgeline Jamis, My Car Guy promptly agreed to work on it. AAA was called to tow but after 2 days no show Jamis called his tow friend who pickup within hours, he called an text to keep us informed which I was pleasantly surprised, never had such great service! We Love our new car guy! He even changed oil and brakes on CRV. And My Car Guy is very reasonable too! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Services: Engine repair, Oil change

My car guy is honest, dependable and very intelligent mechanic. My 2014 GMC sierra had multiple electricical and wiring problems from a previous shady mechanic that had done damage to my vehicle, My car guy, not only fixes each problem but takes the time took the time to go over the wiring and fix right has problems arise. Got a whole ac rework here! As well as power steering pump replacement and windshield washer pump replacement. Owner is extremely friendly and knowledgeable! Met this place through a friend and brought In my 08 Chrysler Sebring for some problems I was having. I was met with knowledgeable, friendly and quick work. This guy Is a genuine straight shooter mechanic and that s what I think a lot of mechanics lack nowadays. I was in a pickle.. who has a solid reputation, good work ethic, trustworthy, diligent and a good communicator... in Maynardville so! I asked our local parts dealer who locally could perform a different/ rear end autopsy and repair... we'll MyCarGuy was suggested... I phoned to my surprise on the other end was a very knowledgeable individual who knew what he was saying (good start)... so I was satisfied the work would be completed competently.. booked in allowing for a little slippage on actual appointed time... in the f350 went .... good comms back and forth.. truck was ready for pick up... that differential hum was gone.. fair price for works done all in all a very pleased customer... oh! Forgot to mention he also found a small problem with the cooling system and that too he took care of... great customer care, great communicator, knowledgeable mechanic, and a good around experience...Service: Transmission

I needed timing kit replaced in my 2015 ford f150 ecoboost i called he had me a quote the next day and best price i had got to have the job done that was on a wednesday had me drop the truck off the next monday had it back today he stayed in contact with me everyday till i got my truck back done a great job on my truck whatever other services i need for my f150 it will be going back to him and any of my other vehicles highly recommend him you will not be disappointed with his work. I had my car towed because it would not start. AAA thought it was battery or fuel pump.bIt was actually contaminated gas. He also did some other maintenance I needed done whole car was in there. I wanted my Chevy Monte carlo back to like new. I took in and dropped off. He did an inspection and sent to my phone a complete inspection with pictures to show my issue. Easy to trust a guy that will show you your problem with pictures. He did brakes, a emissions valve that made my check engine light turn on, sway link bars that made noise when i hit bumps and a wheel bearings that made my anti brakes lock light come on. Super reasonable price and even took cash app payment. Best little shop I found in maynardville, and now I don't have to go to knoxville to get a good quality. Will recommend to everyone

The absolute best. HONEST. He cares about his customers. Great prices. An expert auto mechanic, and an expert in electronics. It's hard to find anyone who has as much all around knowledge. Just incredible at diagnosing and getting the the root of the issues.Makes mobile calls and is very fast getting to you. Been looking for someone like this.
