I do not see how this place is so highly rated, unless people believe everything their told. I took my vehicle in there for repair, I was told by the owner that I needed a new transmissionat $4,000.00 and only a 6 month warranty to go with it. Went and got a second opinion and it turned out I only had a loose wire ($75.00) not needing a new transmission. So be smart people.

Had the automatic transmission rebuilt in my 1993 F 150 XLT about 4 months ago. Very pleased with the way it shifts. The owner seems like a straight shooter. Would highly recommend this shop.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Could not be more pleased with the service and repair work performed by Mountainview. Starting with the demo ride to determine what was wrong, the parts delivered on time, the time that the work and the end result. Highly recommend Lonnie and crew.

I thought I had a terrible problem with my car. I brought it into him after it closed, and he gave me a ride back to my cabin (25 minutes) and gave me a ride back. The next morning I went to pick up my car, it was a very simple fix he charged me nothing! This guy is super honest and trustworthy!

We are on vacation from Illinois. The day we got here our truck broke down. We crippled our truck to Mountainview Transmission and Sunday afternoon and briefly spoke to the owner at that time. He called us Monday morning with a diagnosis and repair estimate. Because we were on vacation he made our vehicle a priority. He was able to to rebuild our transmission and get our truck back to us by Tuesday afternoon. I cannot recommend Mountainview Transmission enough! Excellent mechanical skills, incredibly friendly staff, and well worth every penny spent.

Wish I could choose no stars! I'm not happy with the work that was preformed on my 4l60e transmission. I am now in search of a transmission repair shop to fix 3rd and 4th gear the EXACT same thing I took to Lonnie for, it started acting up about 6 months after he supposedly fixed it , wasted hard earned money and didn't even get 3000 to miles out of it.

We were sent here by our local mechanic who was trying to help out a local...never again. We were out several hundred dollars repairing the damage that was done to our car here. We do not recommend this place.
