I had a fantastic experience! My car broke down right as a snowstorm shut down the town but they still managed to get my car repaired quickly! Sammy is so kind and their communication is fantastic!

Great service! My car broke down while visiting the area and I brought it here without an appointment... they worked me in for diagnostic very quickly and were able to repair my car within a week. I highly recommend!

Ok so I don't know much about cars other than how to make one drive. This place though? 100% upfront. Super friendly. And the guy came out with an itemized list of what was needed for my car. And it was broke down in a way that I could understand. And the best part? Best price I've found ever! I was quoted like... nearly 300 for JUST my belts somewhere else. This place? For 100 more did belts (and found out I was missing a belt!), added freon, filter, and ran an AC test! And after talking about another car I have? They said they would be able to get the car looked over and itemized so I know what to do. And even could do it in parts so I could pay it more easily! I don't know who you all go to for auto repair? But this is my new place to go. Without a doubt! A real (not so hidden now) gem!

Brought a vehicle in with an air conditioning issue. Affordable charged $100 just to diagnose the problem and said there was a leak in the pipes. Wanted another $700-800 to replaced the pipes but said they couldn't fix it for a week. Took it to another shop that diagnosed it for free and found no leak at all and replaced the compressor which had gone bad. The only good thing about Affordable was the friendly service. Would not recommend based on our experience.Addendum:In regards to Affordable's reply, service from the other shop includes 2 years of warranty on the compressor and service instead of 1 year at affordable. Price for repair was the same other than affordable charging $100 to diagnose and other shop was free.

My family were recently visiting the Smokies after traveling from MA - 15 hours and about 1000 miles away from home. The power steering was leaking and minor knocking noise on suspension.Sammy was so kind and professional and offered to check on the issue on the same day. Sammy checked on the issue, kept me updated on the diagnostic. He even offered to stay late to get the car ready back on the road if required. Missy and Sammy were courteous, gracious, friendly, and wonderful to work with from phone call and meeting face to face at the shop. With their help and expertise, we were able to get home safely. If you are looking for an honest, excellent, and efficient mechanic look no further than Sammy! He is the best and we highly recommend this company! 8.5 hours and about 700 miles away from home, my truck dies near the Townsend Wye. Had to hitch a ride with the River Rat Crew into Townsend to get cell service and start calling for help. Ended up with Butler's Wrecker Service sending the nicest truck driver you'd ever hope to meet at a time like this, who helped us get back to our cabin and took the truck to Sammy at Affordable Auto Repair. My wife had already spoken to Sammy, and he thought he'd be able to have it fixed by 5pm the next day - that's reassuring! We got a call at 1030 the next morning saying it was ready to go!!! I'm an experienced mechanic and I'm impressed he got the diagnostics done, and alternator and belt replaced that quickly- it is buried in the engine bay. We couldn't find a ride from our cabin so we walked into town and Sammy's wife came to get us! We had a wonderful conversation about family and sharing kindness with others. My wife even left her wedding rings in the cupholder of my truck during the chaos, and they were still right where she left them. I feel so blessed and fortunate to have been forced to rely on the kindness of strangers so far from home, and ended up meeting such amazing folks. Thank you so much for everything all of you did to help us. It touched out hearts. God is so good. Prayers for you all & your families!Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance

I just want to say this place is awesome! It's been a struggle trying to get the wheelbearing fixed on my parents van. I called and he told me to bring it in and in just a few hours it was ready. Very friendly, honest, fast and great service. I will definitely be bringing my cars and sending anyone I know to affordable auto repair! Thank you!!!

If I could give this business 10 stars I would! My husband and I were recently visiting the area from out of town when our alternator gave up on us. I called a few shops in the area but wasn't having much luck. Thankfully I came across Sammy's shop! He was so kind and professional and offered to help us right away! Sammy and his wife went above and beyond to help my husband and I and we couldn't be more grateful for their compassion and the top notch service they provided. With their help we were able to get home safely to our family. If you are looking for an honest and excellent mechanic look no further than Sammy! We are from south Carolina visiting the area and our car had an issue overheating. We dropped our van off that night and early next morning they had fixed the problem and had us on our way back home! Would recommend 10/10!

My husband and I were touring a national park when our car broke down and had to be towed. This vacation could have turned out very differently if our Airbnb hosts, Stephen and Kristen, had not recommended "Sammy" at Affordable Auto Repair! We HIGHLY recommend Affordable Auto Repair. Sammy, Missy, and their staff exhibit incredible knowledge, and more importantly, incredible integrity and genuine care for the owners of the vehicle! They were very attentive, personal, and completely professional. They assessed the situation quickly, offered more than one solution, and kept us informed of the progress that was being made. 5 stars to Affordable Auto Repair in every category: Quality, Value, Professionalism, Punctuality! This is an awesome place. My friend's car broke down on our way back to Orlando from Smokey Mountains. We towed our car to this shop through AAA. Initially we thought we will get our car fixed by the next day. But as per our request Sammy repaired our vehicle very quickly. In just 1 hour!! Amazing service!! He explained everything about the damage and the cost. He charged only a discounted amount for the repair. This is definitely a high quality auto repair shop with affordable pricing. Thank you very much Sammy .

Very happy with the work done. Got a new to me car and needed a engine. Sammy handled everything with the warranty company. Car was back to me a couple days past what I was told, but WAS NOT their fault. Great work! So much so I dropped my other car off with them. They have my business.

Sammy and Missy came through and took care of my car just days before Christmas Eve. Although they were closed by the time my husband found them via Google search, I utilized their key drop on a Friday night. I spoke with Sammy the next day about the issue. He was honest and said it might not get looked at that day because he was booked full with appointments (which I took as a great sign!), and I appreciated his honesty. He was able to take care of the car that Monday, and I picked up my car on Christmas Eve! It was truly a gift. Thank you both. One other aspect I appreciated about them, in addition to their kindness and expertise, was that they were able to email me a breakdown of the issues and the cost - that was tremendously helpful! I've yet to have a car shop offer that feature. I'll be back!

Brought my 04 Porsche Cayenne to the guys at affordable auto repair and I cannot recommend them enough. I was quoted $2100 or more for a thermostat from every other repair shop in the Knoxville area ( no exaggeration, I called everyone on google) Not only were they able to complete the thermostat but they also fixed a handful of other expensive problems for $1600. They are nice as could be, very responsive in keeping me updated and letting me know the running total beforehand. They will forever be where my family goes for car trouble. If I could give 100 stars I would!

VERY PLEASED FIRST TIME CUSTOMER! Sammy and his wife, Missy, are both professional and personable. I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received. As a woman, it can be intimidating taking a car in for service. Sammy explained everything thoroughly. I received a list of all the things my car needed. He was punctual and thorough. He and Missy kept me informed. I highly recommend Affordable Auto Repair. You won't be disappointed. They also offer a 10% discount on Thursdays for ladies!

Okay if I could give these people 10 stars I totally would! We drove all the way from Kentucky headed to NC and we blew a tire! It was 4:45 pm on a Friday and my fianc�e and I called literally 12 other shops before these guys. NOBODY else wanted to help us but these guys stayed open just for us and were able to help us. I have seriously never experienced such good customer service. They were so kind and generous and went out of their way when they totally didn t have too! Nicest couple I have EVER met. You will not regret going here. I spoke to the front desk woman for maybe 5-10 minutes... and she was amazing! So kind and talkative and helpful and not to mention she s gorgeous!!! Because of them we were able to celebrate our 4 year anniversary after things were looking grim for bit. HIGHLY recommend if you need ANYTHING car wise fixed or such Service: Tires

Wow! Where do I start! I am so new to the area and in such a remote place that we literally know no one. I purchased a truck from a friend from decades ago who hopefully had no idea the problems with this vehicle. Stopped at a store on my way back from getting tags because it was overheating. Asked and was recommended to Affordable Auto. Took awhile to get in only because of the pandemic, but they stayed in regular contact and got me in, then finished the job early. It was a major job, but the truck runs like new and at a more than reasonable price. I will use them from now on as will my girlfriend and will go on the next door site to let others know (now that I got mine in, ha ha!). Even stopped at the store to thank the guy who recommended them. If you want to be treated like family, even as a first time customer, this is the place to go. I had a good feeling from the start and feel great now. 5 Stars are nowhere near enough. My new mechanic shop! Honest!

I moved to Tennessee from Illinois on my own without family or friends here to help me. So when I started to hear noises coming from my 2009 Honda Civic air vent I didn't have anyone to ask for a reliable auto mechanic. I wasn't going back to Airport Honda after the last time when they wanted to overcharge me for a simple air filter. I went on line and one auto shop had some good reviews, but the bad ones left me with concerns so I ruled them out. The other shop couldn't get me in until sometime in December. So I looked at the reviews for Affordable Auto and they were all positive. Sammy & Missy are the nicest & most friendly couple. Sammy and I took a short cruze and he immediately diagnosed the problem. He said he was working on another car and he would get to mine as soon as he could. The shop was very clean and it had a small picnic table and chairs with crayons & coloring books for the kiddies. The washroom from what I could see was spotless and that's a plus for me. They had coffee and although it's understood you should help yourself, Missy offered it to me. Everyone who came in seemed to be happy customers. I will certainly return when and if I need my car checked. I believe the charge was an honest one and I didn't feel like I was taken advantage of.

I did some research before I picked my place. I was pretty sure I knew what was wrong with my van. Sam was excellent letting me know what was wrong and answered all my questions. His wife missy was so kind and cordial and even came and picked me up because I couldn t find a ride back. Service was good and efficient and prices were good and competitive. My van is running like new again even though it s 15 years old. THANK you for the excellent caring service and for your KINDNESS and compassion. You genuinely cared about me. Rare in this day and age. Will be back again even for oil changes.

We have taken all four of our household's vehicles here with very pleasing reaults. They are courteous, timely and priced right for the work! They fixed major and minor things with equal quality and care. They identified work that should be covered by warranty at another shop. I had an issue with a bad part and they got me back in and fixed the very next day! I hate car repairs. I hate them even more when they are urgent, potentially expensive and far from home where I have a mechanic I trust. My son's car broke down in Maryville just before Thanksgiving. I had no idea about any of the car repair shops locally. Great reviews lead me here.We had an estimate within just a few hours. We had an idea of what HAD to be fixed, what SHOULD be fixed, and what we could put off for another day. It was a fantastic experience and we will ABSOLUTELY be back. I have always been skeptical of auto repair places and have found it is very difficult to find a place where you won't be gouged and the shop owner will stand behind his work. Thankfully, my wife found Sammy at Affordable Auto Repair when she brought her VW Touareg in for a clogged A/C drain line. Sammy cleared the line and charged nothing for the service. I was so impressed that in a crowded field of people who will try to do the minimum with the cheapest parts and charge you a maximum for crummy work, Sammy stands out as a "do the right thing" guy. From that day we promised that our vehicles would only go here. I kept my promise and took my truck in for it's 200K inspection and service and Sammy took care to give it a thorough look over. He immediately spotted a couple of critical needs and set to work. I'm happy to say that after 2 years of running with the check engine light on it is now off and the truck is ready for it's next 200K miles! I highly recommend the work and friendly service here! I will return!

First, setting up an appointment was quick, easy, and super convenient. Next, they were ready to look at my vechile when I arrived for the set appointment! Then, they were honest. Wow! They were not concerned about making money. They were concerned about my car and helping me make the best decision. They respectful conveyed the issue and the repair options to me. I will definitely go back and recommend them to anyone looking for the right care for their car!

Sammy and his wife treat you like family. As a young female, it can be difficult to find a mechanic you feel like you can trust, but they are fair and honest here with both their pricing and their diagnostics. Good people! I had my car towed over there, within a couple of hours, I got a call back with the problem. They were upfront with the cost (which was reasonable) and would not do anything without approval. They were able to get it fixed before any of the other shops said would even look at it.
