Staff is lazy and sitting down doing absolutely nothing. You ask for assistance and they look at you like your bothering them. I remember when they used to say "welcome to advanced auto parts how can I help you" as soon as you walked in. Your greeted with dull looks and a sneer. The Martin Advanced auto parts gets a "F" for customer service and knowledge...

The personality of the crew was very lazy and finally a very nice gentleman agreed to check the air in my tires. He told me and said that he was sorry that there wasn't a way to put air in. For me to go somewhere else. The rest of the men and 2 women looked very uninterested in helping anyone! This was the Advance Auto Parts in Martin TN store! My first and only time that I have visited there and I won't be back!

I called yesterday to get a part. I was told it will have to be ordered and will be here tomorrow by 1p.m. So today I went in shortly after 1 and they said it's not here yet it should be here by 2:30 at the latest then at 3:15 I call again. He said well the delivery driver never showed up so it will be here tomorrow around 1p.m because it's a holiday. They could have told me yesterday it might not come in tomorrow since it's a holiday but the following day for sure. I assumed that because they told me yesterday it would be in by 1 they were still delivering. My husband was waiting around for it to come in and fix it he could of been doing other things that needed to be done.

UPDATE: I had to go again. A different man was behind the counter. He took me straight to the product I needed, recommended another product that I would also need and was super friendly! THAT WAS SOME A1 CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Thank you!Very inattentive. Literally didn't answer the question I needed answered but pulled his own theory of what I was asking out of my question and was not helpful at all. And then didn't say anything when I wanted him to check codes on car, just stood behind counter as if he could give a fk less bout anything I had just discussed with him about my car. Like I interrupted his day or something.

Older woman that admittingly knows very little about mechanical issues walks into the Advance Auto in Martin, TN with a dead lawnmower battery should expect to be told her battery is no good, whether it is or not.The young man slapped a tester on it and his tester did nothing. Even I knew it wouldn't with a DEAD battery. He said "the tester is showing it needs to be charged to be tested." I thought that was weird b/c I could see his tester screen and don't know where it said that. (That was for show) Since I don't live in town, I asked how long it took to charge it. He said 30 MINUTES. I thought, "Wow! They must have some vamped up battery charger back there but what do I know so I left it and came back 30 minutes later. He quickly put the tester on it when he saw me come thru the door. I walked back where he was and watched him. I could see things come up on the screen but he was quickly thumbing through different screens so it was hard for me to read. He finally said, "Yes, this battery is no good." It was responding to his meter. (before it did not) so I asked if it should charge longer to get a more accurate reading, he said no, that would not make a difference. In the back of my mind, I felt he was lying but I can't argue with someone that is trained while I know nothing about batteries.I reluctantly bought a new battery and left the one that was rarely used and only months old when we parked that mower 2 years ago.Later I had to go BACK to Martin, TN to buy a charger to charge the NEW battery Advance Auto sold me. The new battery would NOT even turn the mower. The NEW battery was on the charger for 4 hours before the indicator lights on the charger went from yellow (charging) to green (charged).Needless to say, I went to O'Reilly across the street. Each trip to town for me is a 40 mile round trip. 80 miles in a day is a huge hit on my social security income.I asked how long to charge a lawnmower battery in their store and they said approx. 2-4 hours. Miraculously, Advance Auto can do it in 30 MINUTES!I feel I was intentionally mislead and taken advantage of. I wonder if the young man at Advance Auto had a good laugh at the stupid old lady. I also wonder if his parents raised him to be a liar or that's part of Advance Auto training.

Seems like they have finally been making some 'Good' hiring choices lately. It's nice to be able to trust the Counter guy or girl to be able to find what you need accurately. I don't have the time to Source every single part I use in my builds. When Parts Stores started hiring People with Retail Experience OVER People with Tech experience, I HATED going into any Parts Store so I didn't. Their Website Needs a lot of work and their "Catalog Programing" still kind of sucks. But I don't have to use their trash excuse for a high school coding project so I don't really care. IMPROVE THE U.I. of YOUR WEBSITE. PRIORITIZE TECH EXPERIENCE OVER RETAIL. It's not 20 years ago. If the majority of the employee's experience is with Carbureted Engine don't hire them that simple. If your knowledge of a subject is 30 years old ; It & You are Simply NOT Relevant Anymore. It used to common to see young mechanics working part time at a parts store. I used to be one.

They didn't have what I needed, but the guy at the counter called around and found it at another close by. He lost a sale, but he gained a loyal customer. I'll always stop here first.

This is the worst auto parts store in West Tennessee. Go across the street in Martin, TN to O'Reiley's Auto Parts and get some reliable service and honest people giving you information. They won't just say anything to get you to buy a battery and that didn't even fix the problem.

Was looking for LED bulbs for a 2008 pickup truck and they could not find the number that I needed to get the ones that fit. I wont say stupid but VERY VERY undertrained to be selling auto parts.

Got brake pads. No big deal. Everything is going up. I should have waited until they were completely worn out. I could have gone to next Spring, but don't like to wait until the last minute.

I had to get a computer reading on my car; the man told me exactly what was wrong even though my mechanic was sceptical. They are very knowledgeable about all makes of vehicles.
