Decided to stop in and check this place out after reading the reviews. It was not a great experience from the moment we arrived. We stood at the entrance not knowing whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. We were finally told to sit wherever only to find all the tables were covered with crumbs and not cleaned. After ordering our food, we observed them clear tables of dishes, but not wipe the tables before someone else arrived. The restaurant, while quaint, was very dirty with the abundance of coffee cups on display covered with layers of dust. Luckily the food was good but not good enough to make us want to visit again.

Stopped here for the night. The food was good. I'm not impressed by any means, but you get your money's worth. Fried chicken was hot and fresh, and sides may have sat for a minute while waiting for the chicken to be plated. Breakfast was good. Biscuits were very soft omelet was good, but the toppings were not correct, but it was not a deal killer for me. Hashbrowns needed some help. Service was on point, and the restaurant was clean. I did not feel the need to check the mugs hanging from the ceiling . If i have to deliver in the area again, I'll stop in again, ok little truck stop. I've been to worse corporately run establishments.

I really hate to do this because the restaurant and the staff were absolutely great. But the showers and the store were very poor. The shower in particular was very disgusting. I left feeling dirtier than when I entered.

We are truck drivers and love stopping at Uncle Pete s for a meal and quiet overnight stay when in the area. Service is always friendly and the food is delicious. With everything going towards fast food nowadays we appreciate being able to stop at a good reasonably priced old school truck stop.We haul oversized loads and have never had any issues finding a spot nor were there problems with the parking lot. Always a good experience.

They use soybean oil in their fryers. The food is good. There s one cook that is really good but the other cook ain t to bad. The burgers are great.Finding a place that doesn t use poisonous canola oil nowadays is almost impossible. I literally pick my loads that ll bring me by here again. I just wish they were open later. At least till midnight.

Did a 34 here and was very happy with the restaurant food. Will return!! Enjoyed the Older truck stops.

I'll make this a regular stop! Great patriotic restaurant and travel center. I had a 3 piece catfish with turnip greens and fried apples. I wish I had room for dessert but was happily stuffed!My server was quick with my lemonade and entree. I googled the history to discover the owner did 4 tours in Vietnam as an Army helicopter pilot, salute!We need more places like this along the open road!!!

Cute place for a sit down, home style meal! Portions are huge, food is really good and comforting. The waitress was super sweet! You can stare at the mugs all day, what a cool concept.

Oh my gosh! Y'all are a hidden gem! We were just happy to find a place to park & found THE BEST BBQ ribs we've EVER had in a restaurant. The sides were all just as great. We didn't get dessert bc or plates were so full with VERY GENEROUS portions. We'll check those out next time. The potato salad was so good, that when we ordered breakfast, we asked for a quart to go with our extra ribs we'd got with our supper last night to have today.My breakfast was perfect, too!The waitress took both orders perfectly, conveyed them to the cook perfectly and the cook made me a beautiful, perfectly made breakfast! Thank y'all for starting my day on the right foot!

Came here for food on my lunch break at 9am,was very tasty. Service was good and I do NOT think the food is over priced. Support smaller businesses over the huge stops, places like this are great. They also served me lunch food at Bfast which is something most places refuse to do.

i have been going to Uncle Petes Truck Stop for over a year. A fre nights a week, however I believe tonight is my last visit. Over the last month things have been downhill. Tonight is the final straw. Arrived at 6:30 pm. Order was not taken until 7:00 pm. i ordered a side salad an bowl of beans with cornbread. My son ordereda chicken fried salad. 40 mins later my ordee was brought to table without cornbread. Ended up asking another server for cornbread. a fee mins passed an my sons fried chicken salad was brought to the table which was the same size as my side salad. Server apologized an took it back to be remade. Finally get his salad. Of course Im finished. Server offers free dessert for all the issues of the night. My son orders a piece of pie to go. After another 10 minutes no pie. we get up to leave only to discover we had been charged a salad too many. this was taken off our bill. The woman at the register states to me. Ive seen you in here quite a few times. I responded this will most likely be my last visit. her response was Im sorry. we left the establishment at 8:20 pm. An hour an 50 minutes am $40.00 of such a terrible experience

Got my Togo order within 10 minutes, pretty fast. The food is a little expensive but that's no surprise everywhere is expensive. Mozilla sticks were good, but the burger bun was soggy after walking to my truck. The reason for the low stars is because of the person taking orders. She had an attitude and made a disrepectful commitment to me about my friends who didn't leave a tip for a Togo order.

Uncle Pete's may not be a fancy 5 star restaurant but it's nice to see an old school diner in a microwave world. Old school diners are being replaced with fast food places that are not fast nor good to eat. The coffee mugs on the wall represents the many cups served in this grand ole place. This is the only old school diner on Interstate 40 in Tennessee left. LONG LIVE OLE SCHOOL DINERS.....That's a Big 10-4

Truck parking is a little tight, and it"s difficult to get from the exit ramp into the parking lot, but I think the food is worth it. Sausage and cheese omelet is excellent. Wish they were open now, Id go get another omelet for breakfast.

This is our first visit , definitely not the last !! Can t remember when I had a dinner this good , and the waitress was so friendly . Already looking forward to our next trip this way !!!

I'd heard about this being a great little place for breakfast, but it didn't seem like the gas station was big enough for much so I never went in and gave it a look 'see. I'm glad I finally did!I was by myself the other morning and decided today was the day as I had a few errands to run and given how my day was looking, it didn't look like a lunch break was going to be on my agenda... time for a good breakfast!Turns out the "gas station" part of the building is tiny and most of it is Uncle Pete's. You walk in an immediately notice that there are coffee mugs on shelves and hanging around the walls as far as you can see. I love it already!This place was hoppin' on a Saturday morning. Just about every table was full of patrons and the ones that weren't were just becoming available and hadn't been cleaned off yet from the debris of the previous patron's dishes.I finally was able to drop into a little booth by myself and ordered an omelet with toast, a single pancake and I added a half side of country ham just so I could see how theirs ranked compared to what I've had elsewhere.Everything turned out to be simply great, along with the service, which I will say was still attentive even though the staff were busy running everywhere to cover their guests for all their tables.Glad to know this is here for a good breakfast option as I start my day and before I head out on the highway to head wherever it may be I'm going for the next time slot on my calendar.

CAT Scale, pretty good size truck parking lot, they have a small laundry room with a couple washers and dryers, you can buy lottery tickets here too. They have a restaurant here as well but I did not have time to eat.

Gotta leave a 1 for today. Been spending my money here everytime i come through for twelve years. About once or twice a week. Top off my tanks eat good food. The lady behind the counter (uncle Pete's wife she said) had to have made a mistake with my fuel card same fuel card I used there all the time. Was a lil rude. I'd rather buy my deisel at mom an pops like this but I'll have to spend my money at the qt next door I guess . I think im more dis appointed than Mary Ann I think she said her name was..I even tried to call an let her know that it wasn't my cards. She answered the phone said hold plz 20 min later she just hung up...

I knew about this place from an old trucking documentary called Big Rig that I used to watch before becoming a truck driver and have always wanted to stop by. After 6 years of driving, today was finally that day, and it didn t disappoint. I had the baby back ribs, baked potato, and side salad. The 1/2 rack was huge and I don t believe someone could eat the full rack unless I saw it with my own eyes. If I could stop at a place like this every night, it would make being a truck driver a lot more enjoyable. Not many mom & pops left of this caliber. Here s to this place, and I hope it will stand the test of time

Very interesting place the service was great. It came with a history lesson at our request . Unfortunately we drive a big rig and there is limited parking (20 trucks ) and since it closes in the evening the truck parking area is extremely smelly of Urine .The food was as expected for breakfast . Like a home town cafe very relaxing and a great way to start the day .Once inside I feel it deserves a 4 Atleast but the outside could use a bathroom or two.

Im sure this place was amazing in its Day, but it may almost be sunset! Service was nothing to brag about...the food was warm at best. Id probably give it another try, just to make sure If Id ever spend more money here. The decor was probably the Most Interesting part of the visit.

Better than I expected, restroom was decent, I ordered a spaghetti plate, the noodles were a bit runny and it made the plate a bit watery at the bottom which made my garlic bread soggy.I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and finally was able to stop after blasting by on the interstate many times. Will be returning

Good food lol slow on the service but it was busy chicken fried steak was good home fries were good biscuits and gravy was pretty bland I ordered over medium eggs and I got over easy but over all wasn't to bad will definitely stop again there coffee cup collection is cool but there has station is nothing to brag about lots of truck parking

Got sent here to wait to be loaded. Lot needs alot of work. Staff of store and restaurant are friendly and quick. Had corned beef hash, eggs, and hash browns. Food was very food. If nothing else you have to come here to see the World's Largest Coffee Mug collection!!

We stayed at Uncle Pete's yesterday and had a wonderful time. Great food, nice people. We stop here every chance we get.

I give it three stars because the food is good and the waitress work hard. But I don't recommend it if you got somewhere to be. They told us 20 minutes and it ended up being 45 minute and we had to get our food to go.

Great place to eat, offer plenty of parking friendly waitresses and staff. Clean restrooms as well. and they have a bunch of collections of coffee mugs
