YALL BEWARE OF THIS PLACE DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR OR TRUCK HERE THEY WILL DAMAGE YOUR STUFF AND STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! THEY WILL CONSTANTLY GIVE YOU A RUN AROUND AND LIE TO YOU! THEY HAVE TAKEN 1544$ FROM ME AND WILL NOT RETURN IT I LISTED PICS OF HOW I GOT MY TRUCK RETURNED TO ME. MY TRUCK IS IN EVEN WORSE SHAPE THEN WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THEM! IF THEY HAVE YOUR CAR I WOULD DEFINITELY TAKE IT ELSE WHEREUpdate its now December 25 2023I ve yet to get a call back or a return for the money they stole from me and the repairs to the damages on my truck that they have caused. Y all do y all s research before talking any of your vehicles here!

Amazing staff here. They are friendly and helpful. I don t usually trust too many people under the hood of my vehicle but I definitely trust them. They are helpful and amazing to work with. I totally recommend them.

We were traveling back from Texas to New York on a Saturday night when the transmission went in my truck. With nothing open on Sundays we reached out to any place we could. Mike called back right away and texted us through the whole thing. He could have us in first thing in the morning and could get us a tow truck if AAA took to long. I chose to go to a dealership in the morning, my first mistake, they had really no answer on a time frame to get us back on the road and no help. I called Mike and he said he could get but done and had pretty much a time frame. I got the truck to Transmission Corporation of America roughly 3pm on Monday. Through the whole process Mike texted or called me to keep me updated. 3pm the next day we were on the road back to New York. The truck drove amazing, smoother than it was in the past, and sounded great! There was legit no other place that could have done this in 24hrs like they did. Talked with several mechanic friends in NY and they all agreed. I truly thank Mike and the team at Transmission Corporation of America for pushing us in front because they knew we were out of town, traveling back to NY, and had a puppy we wanted to get back. Thank you again guys!

The owner is delusional and cares only about money instead of providing great customer service and fixing cars!!! No clear leadership which causes chaos!!! Vehicles are miss diagnosed, cars are left to be fixed for 2 years, when you start work you are not informed of your pay structure!!! Owner tries to micromanage and does not have a clue on the business side of things!!! This owner is very unprofessional!!! Tries to cut too many corners!!!! I would advise people save yourself time and go to a diff shop to have your car serviced!!

Nov 2023Car drives better than it did when we took it to them. It's been to Kentucky and back.Delivery of service 0 starsTime it took to get vehicle back 0 starsOver promised and under delivered 5 starsBe hung up on 5 starsDoing initial work requested 0 starsSept 2023Can't recommend them at all. Called several times waited on hold just to be hung up on, twice in 1 day. That's 15 minutes of our life we'll never get back.MONTHS AGO we took it to them and asked them to check the computer. They initially pulled out the transmission without our permission.Feel like we were given the run around. Mike may be a good talker but sucked on delivery. Lost revenue and the ability to serve customers and take them where they want to go over the last 3 months. The Van in question had the transmission rebuilt 2 times in the prior 2 years, Which led us to think it was computer. Representatives at the company were told this. They "fix" (6k repair) the transmission to then tell me the computer is bad. Ding, ding, Ding that's why we brought it to you in the first place. Couldn't tell us how much additional it would be to fix it. Several months and no completed vehicle.Don't seem to have it together. Promised my vehicle last week, then Monday. Now truth is that it's not ready.***** Can't trust them to tell the truth.!!!!! Stay far, far away from the Koalafi financing unless you can pay it off in 90 days. 4k turned into 12k.

This has been the best automotive experience I've ever had. The lady at customer service went out of her way to help us. We broke down on the side of the road, they had us towed to them for free, gave us discounts for car rental and hotel, gave a few options when they found the problem, and did everything in great time. I wish they did more then transmissions because they'd get all my business.Service: Transmission

Got a piece of wood of all things in the tire while in Knoxville 150 miles from home , happen to roll up on this place seen the guy inside walked in talk to him and they was actually closed. He came in to do a little bit of office work for a moment, but helped us get back on the road with a tire change.!!!

My car was shifting gears oddly and the speedometer was acting up. I needed a transmission speed sensor replaced and they were able to install it and return the vehicle to me in one day. The staff was very friendly and treated me like family.

It has now been 12 weeks since TCA has attempted to repair my transmission. I stuck around in TN for 4 weeks each Friday mike said my car would be ready and each Saturday they could not complete the job. I had specifically asked Michelle their receptionist if they worked on vw golf sportwagen automatic transmissions to which they assured me they did before my car was towed to them. Mike and Michelle no longer accept or return my calls. I live in Florida so I cannot just drop by and check on my vehicle status. Extremely unorganized and unprofessional business. Be warned they require a $1350 deposit to begin work and then don't complete the job.Service: Transmission

Will keep your vehicle for over a month without returning any calls. When you finally get to speak a mechanic, they inform you that you said you were "abandoning" your vehicle, and then you will not see your vehicle for months while they say they are "working on it"

WARNING! Do not waste your time going to other places that don't respond and overcharged. Here you will find good quality, craftsmanship and honest helpfulness. Today's wait time 57 minutes at posting. Can't get through to know when they will be done with my car that was promised 2 weeks ago.I was asked to hold...And they've still not gotten back to me 54 mins later.I could of gone and bought another car with the money they're charging me.Take your hard earned money elsewhere!!!!!!!!!!!!Some one is not telling me the truth and I'm very not happy!!!!!

****Dec12023**** Still don't have new engine in truck or transmission leak under warranty repaired. We have fooled with this place since July. No promises on work or delivery were fulfilled. TCA promised they would make it good and transferred truck to Lance Cunningham Ford. Truck has been at Ford place 3 weeks with zero communication from TCA.*****New Update**** New engine is supposed to be ready on Monday. If that happens satisfactorily, I will reupdate this review. I did receive a call back today. *****Update***** 9 months later and supposedly a new engine that I can not get calls back on or any answers on...my truck has been sitting there for 2 months. I don't know what changed between Jan and now except Mike is no longer employed there and their communication is non existent. I can NO LONGER recommend this business. **** previous review before transmission leak and needing new engine**** I highly recommend Transmission Corp of America. I had to get a new transmission in my 1995 Ford truck. They diagnosed the problem and provided quick, professional, and affordable service. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable.

Called this shop from Mooresville NC on a Friday afternoon. One of our good customers son was broke down in the area. I called on behalf of our customer and spoke to Michelle. She advised to have him come over to have it looked at. It was diagnosed and I spoke to Mike. He said they would due their best to see if they could get him going. He fixed it and got him on his way in a couple hrs. Cant say enough about this shop! No one likes to be out of town with car troubles but people like this make a bad situation a whole lot better. Cant thank Michelle and Mike enough for helping my customers! and side note: It was 95 deg outside with an overheated truck

I spoke to Mike on Sept 1st and he told me that his company does things ethical in that they will only charge for what is needed to replace bad parts in the transmission. I felt this company could be a reputable company to doing business. So, I called back to have them tow my truck to their shop to do diagnostic check on transmittion. Spoke to Michelle who set this in motion. I got call back from Mike stating that the transmission needs to be rebuilt and he named all the parts that needed to be replaced. I had to put a down payment of $1200 which they didn't tell me I had to add taxes and transaction fee of 2.99% it actually came out to be 1350.20. Mike told me that it would take 3 days to complete this was Tuesday, Sept 5th. I came on Friday Sept 8th to pick up my Truck at around 12pm and was told by Michelle it won't be done until 5pm. I paid Mike my remaining balance of $5841 in cash since they didn't take check due to someone doing stop payment. I came back later that day and Michelle told me that Mike took it on test drive and transmission is relearning how to change gears and asked if I can wait because wants to do another test drive to make sure everything is working properly. I said fine I certainly wanted to make sure transmission is working properly before taking ownership. During the week Sept 11th, I was suppose to get the truck and Michelle says the new transmission isn't working properly and they have to order me a new one. She texted me on Sept 12th that they will have it ready by Wednesday evening. I got another text from her 1:52pm stating the new transmission just arrived and will be done no later than at lunch time on Thursday because the new transmission needs to be programmed. It's now Friday Sept 15th, I called Michelle and still don't have update on the completion of transmission installment in my truck. I fear that I brought my truck to the wrong repair shop even though it was recommended to me through a co-worker of my son. I went on their website to read some of the reviews and I became very concern what people have to say about their experience in how long they have been waiting to get their vehicle back for delays in workmanship and even after getting it done coming back for second transmission replacement after the first one failed. My heart sunk after reading these comments now i don't know if they will have my truck done after being invested now $7191.20 for rebuilt transmission.Service: Transmission

I was experiencing difficulty on a road trip during 4th of July weekend. Every shop was closed but Mike took time out of his vacation day at the lake to speak with me on the phone and give me some advice to get through the trip. I was appreciative of his kindness and knowledge, even when he didn't have to!

Mike there did me a good turn. Helped me finish some work I did at home by doing the computer part. Dealership (full of it) wanted some 300 bucks and said it took 1.5 hours which I knew was false. Mike offered to check to see if he could do it free and only a fraction of that price if he could. I drove in, he jumped right to it, got it done in 15 minutes proper like. Outstanding service, nice fella, upstanding business. Will definitely go back should I have the need. Thanks

So I brought my BMW Z4 into the shop because I was having a problem with the transmission being stuck in high gear. The general manager, Mike, took the car for a test drive and hooked the car up to a computer to see what the problem was. In just a couple of minutes, he was able to determine that it was a faulty, weak battery that was tripping my transmission sensor and he reset the onboard computer and he handed me my key and told me I was good to go. I offered to pay him for his time, but he would not accept a payment. It is getting hard to find an honest mechanic or transmission technician nowadays, but these guys are the real deal. These guys are honest, and they have earned all my future business.

Even though we ended up not using them to fix our transmission they diagnosed our car free of charge and told us what to expect for the repair. I picked this location due to it being endorsed by Dave Ramsey. And now I wish I had not. When I first dropped off my vehicle, Mike checked it and said that something was going on but that it would be easiest to replace it. As he explained, apparently Nissan designs their transmissions for failure. With this in mind, he said he could have my car ready in about a week. Knowing it would add time to the whole process, we discussed not processing it thru my extended warranty. In order to start any repairs a down payment was required, which I promptly paid. After tearing down my transmission, Mike called to say there was more damage than expected and that it would cost an additional $700, and it would take at least another 12 days for them to rebuild. I then told Mike to start a claim with my extended warranty and start the repairs by all means, I need my car! So - when it all came down to it - Joel called to say my car was ready. And they did not start the claim with my warranty because they had received a 'down payment' from me. When I questioned Joel about my conversation with Mike, Joel disclosed that he was listening in on the phone call but (to his convenience) he did not recall me saying 'to start the claim'. When I requested to speak with Mike via a 3-way call, Joel said Mike was no longer with them. Come to find out, Mike is still with them - just not in the same building as Joel. Come on guys - enough of the shenanigans. It's very convenient for you to 'not hear' one sentence of my conversation and how convenient it is to say Mike 'is no longer with you'. And then when you call to say it's ready for pickup you want me to pick it up from Nissan. Really guys? You honestly think someone is going to come pay you for a transmission and then have to go somewhere else to pickup my car? So then, when you guys finally get it fixed and I come pick it up and then my car is making a loud noise!! It was not like this before I brought it to you guys. Shame, shame on you guys. Poor customer service. Granted, you probably did my transmission right and got the repairs right. But you really messed up the customer aspect of it all the way around.

Mike Bonn was absolutely amazing!!!! He was very polite, helpful, and very very hardworking. His ability to juggle everything around the shop and help his customers and give honest quotes is by far the best I ve seen when it comes to working with car shops. My first Time using Transmission Corp. of America, but will not be the last. Mike was straight forward about exactly what was wrong with my vehicle and what was needed to get it fixed. He presented me with all available options about parts and labor and and tried to find any possible discount or area where I could possibly save some money. I had my entire transmission rebuilt in my 2008 Dodge Ram. I m an independent contractor and rely on my truck to cover hundreds of miles a week and they completed the rebuild and got me back on the road in a timely matter and my truck has never run better. Mike and Kelly were/are phenomenal about communication throughout the whole process and continue to be just as helpful after my service was completed. That alone showed me how much care and emphasis they put into customer satisfaction. They genuinely care about you, your time, and your vehicle being in the best shape of possibly when it leaves the shop. I chose them randomly and that s one of the best decisions I have ever made. I would recommend them and their work to anyone I will definitely be a repeat customer.
