Fixed my A/C last summer, offered a pick-up/drop-off while my car was being serviced, great work.Helped me in a pinch one evening when I damaged my fender in the neighboring lot so my car was road-safe. Wonderful family business and very pleasant team.

Their service is transcendent. From the desk to the finished product these guys know how to run an auto mechanic shop. At least 30% cheaper than any of the corporate giants. And let me tell you my story about them replacing a whole transmission in two days without a single issue post service. I mean when I tell you Mr Cool is a God send you really just have to experience this for yourself to believe it. 20/10 would definitely recommend

I was traveling through and ended up driving by Mr.Cool s tax transmission and brake repair. Saw the sign and pulled in on a Friday afternoon. They offered a free evaluation. They recognized the problem quickly. Some shops would have just said it needed a new transmission. They had it fixed later that same day. I was able to pick my car back up and travel back to northern Virginia and it ran perfectly. They charged $130 per hour which isn t cheep but, an honest, capable mechanic is hard to find.

I was given quotes for new and used transmission replacement options. For a new transmission, they quoted $8k. For used, $4500. I don't know, but these might be fair prices for the car model, if a transmission replacement is what the car would've needed. It wasn't.I went to AAMCO for a second opinion, and they quickly replaced the valve body/solenoid for $2200.Things of note:- I specifically asked a Mr. Cool employee if the valve body was the issue and was told it definitely was not.- Employees were smoking cigarettes in a closed garage at the service counter where I was told to go. I am a very health conscious person who tries to avoid such toxins.- Employees were friendly and outgoing. Be prepared to hear/speak about Jesus and other personal stuff, probably.

Pretty sure that these 5 star reviews are fake. I have no idea how they are even operating. Took my car in for suspension work. They kept it days and days. Never reaching out to me to tell me the progress, unless I would call. never telling me what needs to be done. Finally they reach out to me out the blue to tell me my cars done. I get there to an invoice with a bunch or random work they claimed they did. $1300 dollars in work to be exact. Thinking that my car is going to be running perfectly I get into a car with a drained battery, and absolutely NO WORK done. Car actually runs horrible. I checked every things they charged me for. Absolutely no work done to the car. I would never take my car here even if it was the last place in earth. Lady at the desk is nice, but has no idea what she s talking about, and will just lie straight to your face if she doesn t know the answer.

My car was stalling and I was near a place that told me it was the alternator and they could repair the alternator for 460. The guy was at Gabby's and now I realize they didn't use any computers to assess, and he just ripped me off for a lot of money, as the next day( today), my car was still stalling.So I called and talked with Aaron and his amazing coworkers and James, his father who said to bring it in..I took to Mr Cools and they used their expertise, professionalism and kindness with up to date computers to find out that i needed a camshaft and would have that replaced for a reasonable labor and parts. I was delighted and then trusted them with some other issues with my car today.We who use our cars for work and helping a sick family member, etc cant thank this top tiered group enough. The Cools, Aaron, his dad, all of his family along are super. God bless their work and all!!:)

I've been going here for a few years now. Had a dead battery, couldn't find anyone to jump me off. The people at Mr. Cool sent someone to jump me off, I live very close by, and I was out of there with new battery in no time. Friendliest, honest, reasonable and best car place there is, and I will always choose them first!Michelle is a doll!

Love this place, I thought my alternator went out and need it look at and serviced because I only have one car and I took it in and it was serviced all for a reasonable price in a day. The individuals are all knowledgeable, starting with the lady up front to the guys out back under the hoods. Thanks, Mr. COOL's for being so cool. I will be returning

I had pretty much written off my van, 2014 Town and Country and was inquiring online about a Town and Country, to buy. i mentioned having a broke down van and rather than selling me a van, James (Mr Cool) fixed mine. He did it quick (less than a week, had been quoted 3 months by another good shop) and let me know where we were, price-wise through the process (he gave me an estimate and kept it). He also found a couple of other things along the way and either fixed them or told me about them so I can plan to have them fixed. Top notch work. Mr Cool has my business.Service: Transmission

Be prepared for them to add a bunch of extra services that you don t need when they give you a quote. This place is the definition of greedy mechanics. Save yourself lots of money and get a second opinion on what s needed to fix your car.

Had a slight problem that I knew would get worse over a period of time.I brought the car in and they did an analysis, discovered the problem, ordered new parts, they arrived in a few days, brought the car back in, I had to leave it because it was a big job, got it back in 2 days, runs perfect. Thanks Mr Cool.

They did a great job. Will return for future work.Edit: Two months after getting oil leaks fixed at Mr. Cool's I went to change my oil and it was completely dry. I took it back to Mr Cools and they said it was another leak and that I'd have to bring it back in. I find this odd, because after they looked at it the second time the leak stopped.

Chandler at Mr Cool is great. He was very helpful, great communication and keeping up to speed on the repairs. Not to mention when talking to him initially, my assumption on the repair was much greater than what it ended up being. He could.have taken me for a fool and tell me I needed what I expected, but instead he called me and was honest about what was wrong with the car which resulted in fraction of my expected expense. It's hard to find an honest auto place but my initial experience is is two thumbs up. Great work Mr Cool team!

Helped me the same day I called.Had my ac compressor replaced beforehand and I needed a vacuum and recharge.They diagnosed it first then did just that. In and out within a hour and half while they were busy.Definitely recommend

I went to Mr. Cool for a complete diagnostic and second opinion on my car. After receiving an incredibly expensive diagnosis from another business, I wanted to be sure. I only went to Mr. Cool because they came highly recommended. After leaving my car for several hours at Mr. Cool s, I received a telephone call saying they found absolutely nothing wrong with my car. They stated that it was in good condition and safe to drive. I was now more confused than ever. I wasn t sure which car company was being honest with me and which one was not. I still didn t feel comfortable or safe about driving my car so I brought it to the manufacturer for a third diagnosis.After the third diagnosis, it turned out that the first business that did a complete diagnostic on my vehicle was in fact correct. In order for my car to be safe to drive, it would need to have several repairs done to it. I am extremely disappointed in Mr. Cool for not being honest with me. How is it that two reputable companies find the same problems with my car and Mr. Cool finds absolutely nothing.I cannot with good conscious recommend Mr. Cool.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

This was the worst auto experience I have ever had. After having no problems with my transmission, my warning light was on. Another shop told me what I needed but they couldn't get the part. I literally told "Mr. Cool", who is not in fact cool, what was needed. I didn't even receive a phone call for a week. Then I was called Baby and asked what was wrong. I explained again. I began to call again after another week. My phone calls weren't returned. When he did call, he called me Honey and told me I needed a new transmission. After four weeks, when I said I was picking up my car and going somewhere else, he offered to buy it from me. He said what he really does is buy and sell cars. I have rarely in my life had to work with such an unintelligent individual. I feel sorry for his employees, who are very nice. I wouldn't recommend this shop if I was offered money to do so.

Most businesses prioritize money however I've never felt that from Mr. Cool's service. Not only they provide great communication, speedy service and pleasant price, they also care for you and your vehicle. They used to be good about 3 years ago. They had my car for a month and did not return calls. They told me it was a missing part they could not find. Then after 3 weeks they said the car was fine. I swear they forgot about my car. The car did the same thing 2 days after I picked it up from them. I think the original owner and his wife are trying to pass the business to their kid. They are not doing a good job. The new office manager girl is a dunce.I took the car to Car Fix on Western avenue a couple weeks after getting it back from Mr Cool. Car Fix found the part and fixed the car within a couple of days. They were really good with communication.

My fianc� and I broke down yesterday and were stuck in the same shopping plaza as Mr. Cool We thought we were going to have to tow our car to a shop, and I realized that we were right next to one (lucky us!). From start to finish they were excellent and provided great communication & customer service. We were going to push our car down to them, and they insisted it was no trouble to do it themselves. They were closing in an hour, so we knew it would be there for at least a day. This morning they called us with an update on everything that needed repair, and had it ready a few hours later. We will definitely recommend them to everyone we know and will return in the future! After a few very unpleasant experiences at other local shops over the years, we really appreciated this one!

I've taken my vehicle to Mr Cool's a few times, and I've always had a positive experience with them. They're usually pretty busy, but nevertheless they're welcoming and help get you in quickly. The past time I visited, one of the mechanics took the time to explain what was going on with my car, in a very patient and transparent way. They seem to really care about their customers, and it shows. The business is professional yet personal, and their prices are fair from my experiences. If you bring in your car to get something fixed, you can be reassured that it'll be fixed properly.

Michelle and her staff were amazing! We broke down halfway through our eight hour road trip, and thinking we would have to rent a car, they were able to squeeze us in and fix our car in a timely manner! I had gotten into an accident and had heard from people that Mr.Cool is the best mechanic around so I had my car towed there. During this chaotic time they were truly the one part of it all I felt good about. They gave me updates on the car, and even quoted me a price cheaper than my insurance gave me. They were very helpful and understanding with the multiple questions I had and even helping by sending quotes in with my insurance. This family owned business is the best around very professional and I will be using them in the future, as you should too. A mechanic that cares about their customers is hard to find these days but not at Mr.Cool.Services: Tires, Brakes

Always great service here, no pink tax and no bs. Last time I had my car here they quoted me an amount to fix it, later when I went to pick it up the cost was $100 less than what they quoted. I was told once they got into the car and started working on it they realized one of the parts didn't need to be replaced after all, it just stopped working bc of a damaged wire. They repaired the wiring and sent the part they'd ordered back, and deducted the charge from my total. Now they could easily have just swapped the part out and charged me for it any way, I never would have known, and at a lot of scummy shops that's exactly what would have happened. But not at Mr. Cool's.I've been bringing my vehicles here for about 3 years now and have always gotten great service, the employees are extremely knowledgeable about their job and don't hesitate to explain exactly what they're doing with the vehicle. I recommend this shop to all my friends bc I've watched closely how they treat me, my car, and my wallet, and I've been very impressed.I've had bad experiences at other shops (Free Service), but not here. In fact, the last time I took my car to Free Service and they f***ed it up, I brought it to Mr. Cool's to get a second opinion before I just scrapped it. Turns out the other shop charged me for a transmission service they didn't even do right. My transmission was badly underfilled and the filter hadn't even been changed. I paid $30 less at Mr. Cool for the same service and this time when I got my car back it was driving perfectly. I drove that old car for 18 more months after that before junking it. Lesson learned for me! Just because a shop looks big and fancy doesn't mean they're honedt or do a good job.Personally I no longer take my ride anywhere else, especially in this economy lol
