I am very satisfied with the work Maaco did on my '95 Dodge Ram in Knoxville,TN which my father gave me when he was too sick to drive. It looks like it came out of the showroom. I recommend them if you need a paint job.

Michael, the manager, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He s running a busy, old school shop. They still made time for me, even though I m a nosy customer and want to check in on the progress as it progresses. Turn around was fast, quality was good! They kept me in budget, and I feel the price was right for the work. I had quotes as low as $800 and as high as $45,000 (not joking), and I asked all around town. I saw the work coming out of the maaco, and walked through their lot a few times looking at some of their finished products, and decided to give them a chance. The paint has a couple flaws, and some little fuzzies in it, but at the end of the day it s a black car and it shines like a new dime and I m going to drive it. Any other color wouldn t show any of it. No runs I could find, it isn t all orange peeled. I expect it to last a while as well. Freddie, their detailer, was great. He was personable and stayed late to help put everything together in a good way before I picked up the truck. He busted his butt to get me on the road in time to make it to our family reunion in a shiny new car. Great work! I ll attach a few before and after pics.Let me just say that since Covid, a lot of business took the opportunity to drop their quality and raise their price, and generally throw out customer service and respect. I can t tell you how many shops I walked into and was treated like an idiot right through the door. It sucked and it made me want to give up on of having a nifty Chevy blazer I could be proud of. These folks treated me like a person with some dignity, and it s refreshing.

Overall, a good job for the cost. My only concern is that the body emblems were not reapplied. They were all left laying in the center console. Only time will tell if it will last through the 4 year warranty.

I wish I had read the reviews thoroughly before ever taking our vehicle to Maaco. The process, from beginning to end, was difficult. I understand that coordinating with insurance is never easy, but a bumper repair that was quoted as a one week job turned into a two month ordeal. We were given false deadlines, was rarely able to get updates on the phone, we emailed daily to attempt to help the shop "coordinate" with our insurance company, and were just given the run around constantly. The estimate was edited three separate times due to lost parts, incorrect parts, labor misquotes, you name it. Ashley did the best she could, and I appreciate her help, but Michael was unprofessional and again told us things that were disputed in writing by the insurance company. To add insult to injury, when we picked the car up almost EIGHT WEEKS LATER, the headlights, which worked when we took the car in, no longer worked and MAACO refused to fix, saying they are unable to fix headlights in a body shop. So, in addition to the excess rental car fees we also had to pay ANOTHER SHOP, right down the road, additional money to repair the headlights, and they finished the work in one day. RUN FROM THIS BUSINESS. You will not receive customer care. Your car will not be repaired timely. After over $3,000 was paid to MAACO, we still had to take to another repair shop. I honestly am not sure how they are still in business.

Just recieved my 05 f250 back and love the fresh look. Due to its age we had a problem getting the pinstripe installed. The factory color was obsolete. No problem for these guys. The manager helped me think outside the box and was able to get me a color match for the original paint skeem. Extremely nice to talk shop with as well. The price was good and I really Enjoyed the experience.

It started off great...however, communication ended up being really choppy. I felt as if I was being stalkerish by the amount of times I had to call to check up on my project. When I called them out on what they told me previously, they brushed it off as if I said nothing at all. I felt that because my project was a smaller one that I was placed on the back burner. What was supposed to be a 2 day project turned to be a little over a month. I will say at then, they did some digging to make what i wanted work. At the end of the day my project was at least completed but it had me skeptical on whether I would be a returning client if I had to be.

Maaco did a great job on coming up with the color my wife wanted. In fact they were so proud of it they also sprayed the leather seats, carpet, molding, wheel wells, exterior mirrors, new headlights (one now also does not work, it did when I dropped it off), and convertible top. Buyer beware.

" ATTENTION BE CAREFUL Do not take your car to this place, it is a Russian roulette, I am 100% sure that you will not be satisfied, it is a nightmare. My VAN was damaged by a tornado and I paid them almost $6,000 to have it painted properly and repaired. The quality of service and work is horrible we went 5 times to complain about all the faults that remained and were left with a truck that has two shades of green paint. At all times their response was that they did not have a furnace or proper painting equipment. They then pointed me to the fact that the document I signed states that I must accept their work as it comes out. They did not give us a choice.I had read the bad reviews that other clients had written, however I was betting that it would not happen to me but in the end I fell into their trap.Don't even think about taking your car there, you won't be satisfied and you will be another victim of this nightmare.A week after having my van bubbles began to appear everywhere, I paid for a general repair and paint and discovered that they only sprayed paint superficially, they do not have an oven. In conclusion, it is a total fraud, I warn you NOT TO TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS BAD PLACE. They are a joke, they don't know anything about how to repair a car and the worst in service, don't waste your time and listen to all the bad reviews so you can avoid a bad time with them. it's not worth it.

Michael, the manager was pleasant to deal with. The quality of the work for the price was fair. Although they did call me in the middle of the work and told me they would have to charge me an additional $100 after they had already quoted me a price. I will never go back there again because the girls that work upfront that are supposed to be customer service were very rude and disrespectful. I have zero tolerance for disrespect. I will never give them my business again.

On February 11th I dropped my truck off at Maaco Knoxville to be painted. I was told it would be ready in 10 days for pickup. It kept getting pushed back and I was told to pick it up Saturday February 26th. I show up to get the truck and it s painted BLACK and it was suppose to be RED FACTORY COLOR. They was shocked that they messed up and tried to make me pay. I told them I would once it was fixed. They said the truck had to sit 7 days and would be priority to be painted after. At the 7 day mark I started calling and they kept giving me the run around. I reached out to corporate and then the manager called me and said it would be the first one painted Monday morning March 14th. I went by the shop that day to see it and it was still sitting outside. He confirmed it would be ready Tuesday morning. It was ready for pickup on the 15th around 4:30pm. I get there pay for the truck. I drive straight to the house and realize the paint on the roof had just ripped off the truck. Also they have painted the plastics on the truck and didn t clean up the inside. It s just a mess. I can t take the truck back after two times and the mess they have caused. There s runs all in the paint and trash under the paint. I had brand new bumpers and they painted all over the plastic on the rear. They have cost me to have to buy new mirrors, messed up my battery s, and a rental for when they messed up and painted it the wrong color. I will add pictures to the email of the truck before hand and the process. I have requested a refund and they keep ignoring me.Service: Body & Trim

Body work was decent, very very poor quality paint job. Had to get repainted twice, terrible orange peel all over the car, over spray on trim and windows, bad paint chips all around the car. I ve had my car back about 3-4 weeks and clear is coming up in several places and paint is chipping. Talked to mike the manager of the location, told me it s the best that s come out of the shop and won t fix the problems. 2/10 don t recommend unless you re not picky and don t care about quality work. Painter and manager have some type of connection and shows zero care about work quality. Pictures below show some chips, the haze of the paint and the bad quality of work. Tried to reach out to the owner of the store never heard back.

I had an appointment for Sat 8-28-21 at 9:45am. I arrived to find the business closed. All lights were off. I waited 30 minutes and called but was forwarded to the answering center. They weren't aware of this location being closed. The gentlemen with the 10am appointment arrived while I was waiting. There wasn't a sign posted saying they would be closed and neither of us had been notified. I also found the back gate open with the lock hanging. Very unprofessional. I drove 45 minutes to get there and will not be making that trip again unless Maaco can explain why I wasted my Saturday morning and make it right.

I'm torn between this review, because I feel like half the people here care, and the other half not so much. Had a 93 Buick repainted a few months ago. The inspection process was great, and "Ace" was very friendly. I got my quote and left the car next day. While it took a couple weeks longer than I was told, it didn't bother me as I had another car to use (though if I didn't, I could see how this would be an issue).Whoever handled the dent repair did a fantastic job, as did the person who did the tape process. There's no overspray I could find, apart from some rubber door seals, but that doesn't bother me. Unfortunately, whoever handled the badge removal was a little more aggressive. One of the emblems was snapped at the corner, and my hood ornament looks like it was just ripped off instead of easily unscrewing it underneath the hood. Whoever was handling the paint gun that day was either in a rush, or perhaps didn't really care. There's areas of running, odd texture patterns on the trunk lid, and what looks like grit and dust that got underneath the paint on most of the hood, and part of the trunk lid/roof that once dried, left a sandpaper like feel and appearance across a good portion of the car. If this were the "basic" paint job option, I wouldn't care, but I opted in for one of the premium tiers, bringing the total just shy of 2k. For that much, I'm a little disappointed, especially with the larger runs in the paint, and the gritty texture, which are very visible even from a distance.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Quotes from other body shops were way higher and wouldn t be done for at least a month (for a very small ding). Ashley was super friendly and had the body guy come out and take a look to make sure they got it fixed right. I ended up paying half of what Joe Neubert quoted and it came out great. They re a busy shop, but they get things done in a timely manner and with good quality.

Just had my Scion painted and man is it pretty. It's just my daily get around so I didn't go all out, but for what I paid it looks incredible. Staff was super friendly and even though it took an extra day or so (they were short handed) the job wasn't rushed and I'm very happy with the product. Thanks guys!Service: PaintingService: Painting

MAACO went over and above painting my 2006 Honda accord. So much as they didn t feel the need to mask off inside the grill area, or the weather stripping on the windows. Now I have had to replace the condenser for my a/c system as overspray had filled the gaps of the coils. The horn is also the same color as the body paint, as well as the intended chrome/black parts of the stock Honda grill. There are also ripples in the paint on the passenger door. There was also and extreme amount of baby powder sprinkled throughout the rear floor board. To mask the smell of paint inside the car. Why does the inside of my car smell like paint? Probably because of the overspray on my floor trim. I see now why I got the best price in town. Will not return for business, will not recommend to others. I will update soon with pictures.Service: Painting

Was a little hesitant to take my Civic to them due to some of the reviews but decided to go ahead and give them a try and I was glad I did. Is it a perfect paint job? No, but do I think it was worth what I paid for it? Absolutely! Time will tell how it holds up but after 1 month, I m still glad I took it there. It s not a perfect job and the taping wasn t perfect but you have to understand how much more paint jobs can cost at other shops. This was exactly what I wanted for my gas saving commuter car that the clear coat was peeling on, looks 100 times better!

Very pleasantly surprised for the price. Not perfect, but they did very well with nearly no overspray on my Miata. Very nice people to work with too. Quick turnaround time. Only complaint is the paint itself (urethane + integrated clear) is very soft. Ceramic coating fixed that though.Services: Painting, Body & TrimServices: Painting, Body & Trim
