DO NOT go to Free Service Tire Store on Kingston Pike in Knoxville, TN! I bought four new tires on Monday and had what felt like flat tires on Thursday. I pulled over to see if the tires were flat, called this shop, and they told me it sounded like the weights had been thrown. The closest place I had to pull over was luckily at a dealership. They found that all the weights on all four tires had been improperly installed. I, of course, had to pay for this service because I was nowhere near a Free Service Tire Store. I was told I would be reimbursed by the Kingston Pike location for the new tire services I received after their bad install. When I went to the free service tire center they told me I would have to get take up the matter with corporate and that they couldn t help me after all. In other words ..too bad that they did such a terrible job on installing these new $1100 tires. They said corporate might refund me $72. I reiterate DO NOT USE THIS ESTABLISHMENT FOR ANY REASON

I originally went in for an inspection on my vehicle to diagnose an issue. But with how easy and fast the staff communicated with me and my warranty company. My cooling fan was replaced all in one day and ready to pick up by end of day. I had an amazing experience with Free Service &Auto Centers I will continue to use this company for my car needs due to the amazing customer service and the experienced technicians.

I got a nail in my tire, waited for AAA for an hour and a half to get a 3rd call saying it s going to be another 45 min. I left the parking lot frustrated, with low air in my back tire and 3 kids in the car, looking for the nearest open tire repair stop. Danny Powers was just about to lock up and close the shop for the night but still helped me! Thank you so very much!!!!! I am so grateful for your kindness! And I apologize for making you stay later to help me. God bless!!

EDIT: As shown in the business response, still no effort has been made to even try and slightly resolve the situation. Saying you care is one thing, but actually showing it is another.Absolutely Horrible. We went in with the issue of oil spewing everywhere, we were there for maybe a good 5 hours. Sometime after we left we noticed the oil was still spewing everywhere and the engine was still smoking. We tried to communicate this with them, and they have been uncooperative and unresponsive. We were supposed to receive a call from the Manager/Owner and we never received anything. Nothing has been done to even remotely help this issue, as previously stated they have been uncooperative and unresponsive. I could not recommend this place less.

Picked up a nail on the road and needed a patch right away. They got me in immediately and when I gave them my tax exempt form for the children s home vehicle they said No! We ll patch it for FREE! So I know where I m coming for my next set of tires and possibly setting up a fleet account. Thank you Danny and the guys for taking such good care of me when I was in a jam!

I love this place! I ve taken my 2017 Miata here several times this year for some easy fixes and Danny, Kirk, and Dalton are so helpful and easy to talk to. These are my favorite mechanics!

Came by today to get some new tires put on, they weren't able to get some of them on due to an issue on my end, NOT Free Service's fault. They even gave us the name of a company that could help AND gave us an extremely reasonable price. Thank you for all your help Free Service you guys are awesome!

I cannot say enough about how amazed I was at the great service here. Sam was very diligent with always making himself available for any questions we had. We had a lot going on in our life when we towed our car there and he worked extremely well with our chaotic schedule and plethora of questions we had. I was sure the service we needed would end up being expensive but it was not. I had very seriously damaged my rim when the car was dropped off and the impact of the wreck had damaged other areas of my car as well. They were extremely fast at fixing my car and a pleasure to work with, helping me understand exactly what my options were for repairing my car and not making getting my car fixed the headache I thought it would be. I 100% will always use them in the future!!!

1st and foremost. The technician and service were great. I guess my 3 star rating is because I felt like I was overcharged for mounting and balancing of my tires. The service advisor packed road hazzard = 40.00 misc shop fees = 16.11. mount and balance = 124.00Tire recycling 20.00, valve stems 40.00. I wasn't expecting to pay 240.00 on top of the price of tires. I don't know what was freeabout FreeService. The extra charges were not discussed up front. Otherwise, I would have bought them outright and took my camper somewhere that doesn't price gouge to install tires.

It's a very difficult to find honest mechanics and it took me about 2 years going different places in Knox County until they stumbled across these guys. I won't take my car anywhere else now. Very grateful for these guys and even tipped them.

The service techs were friendly and fast. We arrived 10 min to closing and they were gracious enough to stay late and get us outfitted with two new tires on our road trip. We were stuck two and half hours from our destination! Thank you guys SO MUCH for saving us from an unexpected hotel stay.

Update Oct 2023: Not impressed with the recent service. An oil change took 2 1/2 hours and was overpriced (cost way more than in the past). Arrived at 2:15pm, didn't get to leave until 5:00pm. Wasn't able to get additional repair needed on my car. Had to remind them to check certain things on my car. Newer management is much different . Will be going somewhere else in the future.Update 1 year later: Came here again today to get some work done on my car. Still amazing service at a great price. Appreciate all the quality work that they do here.Original review: Came here a few weeks ago to get work done on my car. The staff here are awesome. Other places wanted to charge me over $250 for a simple fix in my car and say that it would take 3 hours to do. I called this place explain the situation and they said that they would fix the problem for about $80 and it would only take about an hour. My car has been running very smoothly since I went to this place to get it fixed. I appreciate them not being greedy and trying to take advantage of customers. They did wonderful work on my car and I would definitely go back here again if the need arises. Definitely recommend this place to others.

I was appalled by the customer service I received at Free Service Tire on 4/19/23. I set up an appointment for an oil change on 4/18/23 at 12:34pm. I spoke to a pleasant, older sounding gentlemen. I communicated to him I needed an appointment after 6pm on 4/19/23 because that s when I finish with my last client. He stated if I could be there by no later than 6:30p they could do my oil change. So, I arrived at 6:10pm. I was half heartedly greeted by a tall guy who stated my appointment was for 4pm. I told the man what the older gentleman told me the day before. He gave me a look of agitation before asking another man if he could do my oil change despite I stated I made an appointment. The other older short man and the tall man whispered amongst themselves and grudgingly agreed to do my oil change. I declined their poor customer service offer and left. I read about this place online and saw they had a 5-Star review and to come to find out as a first time customer this was far from the truth I hope they learn how to treat people on the first impression and not treat people as if their business is not valuable

I was driving on the freeway and heard a huge noise coming from the front of my car. Tires were ok, but a plastic piece attached to my fender was dragging. I drove 20 mph to the Kingston Pike exit, and pulled in. The techs were very friendly and Alex offered to take a look and then proceeded to reattach it, and didn't accept any payment! It only took him a few minutes but it saved me hours of waiting for AAA and missing my very important appointment! Thank you Alex for making my day. I will always use your company for all my auto needs in the future, and will highly recommend you to others!!

I needed a couple of new tires on my Challenger and they didn t have them in stock. Instead of trying to keep me on the hook for a couple of days and get me back in, they called around and found a different shop up the road that had them in stock, and even gave me directions on how to get there. That is true service and focus on the customer. Will continue to go back there for future needs!

So, normally I d give free service 10 stars. However, the service I received under Ben s management, then Sam s doesn t exist any more. Went in for a tire rotation today, was told I d have to schedule an appointment. This would be understandable had they been busy but there wasn t a single car in the parking lot. I get being understaffed but there s also not a ton of excuses on why when someone should be pulled from another location. I expect service because that s something I buy when I spend thousands of dollars on tires with this company. So now, I m down the street, paying more money to get my tires rotated and balanced when I should be waiting in your lobby getting it done for free. Thumbs down this time guys.

So my car would not take gas. It literally just came back out at me. Took my car to these guys and it was fixed in 24 hours. They even put gas in to make sure it was okay. They were absolutely wonderful. Josh did a great job and Sam was excellent to work with. Will forever take my car to these gentlemen!

This place is awesome! Was driving through town from Florida to Chicago and wound up with a screw in one of our tires. These guys squeezed us in first thing last Saturday morning to fix the tire. When the job was completed they did not charge me a dime! What a great surprise! I thought with my out of state license plates that I was going to be charged plenty. These are great honorable people. Would definitely recommend.

This place is the one to go to! The mechanic was personable and helpful. He showed and explained what was wrong and was realistic about priorities. He was honest and upfront about what needed fixing on my car and helped me out however he could. Definitely would go back if my car needed it!

I was referred to Free Service by a friend. I was very pleased with the work I had done, and my alignment. I was able to drop off, and pick up easily, and the work was done quicker than I anticipated from anyone. Definitely will continue to use this shop, and recommend them to my friends, and family. Huge thanks to Ben, and his crew!!!

The guys here have always been amazing! Super knowledgeable, friendly and will answer my dumb questions without judging me. Sam has fixed multiple issues I've had with my car and has always been willing to explain what he's doing which I appreciate. I recently needed some specific work done so he made sure the job went to the correct person to get it done right. Joe was the guy for the job and he was phenomenal! Got the work done really quick and just how I was hoping it would come out. I only know the names of Joe and Sam but everyone here has been great and are the kind of people that just want to fix cars without it costing an arm and a leg. If I have car issues the free service in Farragut will be my go to place!
