Very reasonable price and very friendly staff. Good parts too. Will try to get work done fast if they can during the day. Drop off car or truck early morning Apon opening. Cash at payment is great. Will take credit and I think debit cards for payment. Near run down area. Okay when I was there at daytime.5 star I'll be back if I needed major transmission work. But they don't do struts maybe not shocks too. Thanks Travis and staff. A gem off a repair shop.5 stars!!

I recently had my 2003 C5 Corvette automatic transmission rebuilt. Jack worked with me and gave me great confidence in his ability to get the job done right. I had my car back in 5 business days with a whole bunch of goodies and for a very fair price. The car runs great! Highly recommend!

Jack is a great guy and super easy to work with. He s a Navy vet and very honest. Had my transmission rebuilt in my 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. Absolutely the best mechanic in town. Made me feel confident taking care of me when purchased a used vehicle recently. brought here to flush transmission and new transfer case. Saved me thousands!!!! Best prices by far in town!!!! Will also treat you the entire time with honesty, and respect. They have gained 4 new life long costumers by treating us as a neighbor more so than just a way to make money off ppl. Thank you to your team and your self Jack! Took our 2012 Dodge Caravan to Economy Transmission, to have our transmission repaired. It took them 2 weeks to repair it. Cost $3700. Was told to bring it back in 10 days to recheck it. 10 days later took it in, told them it was still having the same problem as when we first brought it to them. They were very rude and my husband asked them to please have someone try driving it. They drove it and said they would check it out. They called us after 4 days and said come and pick it up. We did and on the way home , it did the same thing again. When we told them this, they said well that is how those Dodges run. We told them it had never done it when we purchased the Van, nor any of the 3 years we had it. They became very rude and said they could do nothing more for us.We then took it to another transmission place and they said there was definitely a problem with the transmission. We showed the new repair people the bill and what Economy Transmission said they had done. Some of the parts they claimed to replace, NEVER were replaced. I do not think they should be in business if this is how they operate.Very disappointed with them.Would not ever recommend them to anyone.Service: Transmission

These guys are busy, but made time to get my truck overheating diagnostics done in one day.Great prices and Jack was great to talk to and understood my concerns with ease!I will definitely use them from now on!

Jack is the greatest. I took my vehicle in for diagnostics. He found I had a transmission issue that was gonna cost me a fortune to repair. After some number moving and his genuine sincerity of me being without a vehicle, he was able to get my transmission repaired within my budget and also very quickly. Jack was very upfront and clear with what the issue was, the cost, and the timeline of repair being done. He stayed on the phone with me during each phase of the repair and kept me informed. I def recommend ECONOMY TRANSMISSION not only on the best repairs... But also on the customer service and family friendly atmosphere

I ve known Travis for years at this place and he s always done fantastic work, but the last couple of times I ve been here my work was done by Jack, the manager. He has done a fantastic job on my vehicle and my girlfriend s vehicle as well, they both run like they re brand new and I greatly appreciate the work Jack has done for us both. Great guy and fantastic shop! Never disappoints!

I must say I was really impressed with this place. At first I was a little sketched because of course the location. Their place was very clean and simple. The people that worked there was very polite and well spoken. I was pleased with their services and prices. I was also educated about transmissions, which I love to know what exactly is going on and i never have had my dealership give me the courtesy which this small business went above and beyond to do. Definitely will be back, as soon as I started my car and hit the gas peddle I could tell a great difference, she ran smoother. Happy customer.

Jack is awesome! I needed some fast transmission repairs done on my car. I brought it in and he told me what was wrong with it, how long it would take to fix, and how much it would cost. When it came time to pick up my car, everything was just as he said! Plus he even bought a coupon book from my daughter!!! Appreciate all the work and honesty. Thank you Jack

The owner Jack is man of his word I was highly recommended Economy transmission he just has away of making you feel everything will be ok. They had my truck for 3-4 months. Charged me $4k to rebuild my E4OD with some upgraded heavy duty parts. When they plugged my tuner back in it somehow fried the ecm.. They said they couldnt find a new ecm for a whole month and I found one through Napa in a day, that I paid for!.. when I finally got my truck back it still slams into 3rd gear... Not impressed and wouldn't refer anyone to them. Jack is the only good thing about that place.

I very highly recommend Economy Transmissions for a complete transmission rebuild.After buying a lemon of a truck from ELITE MOTORS in Knoxville (DON'T BUY A CAR THERE!!!) the transmission went out the next day.I called Economy Transmissions and they got me in very fast, were kind and professional and had my truck transmission rebuilt within a week. These guys did an amazing job. A friend had her vehicle break down in Knoxville and was stranded. I called around to compare cost to repair her vehicle and their estimate was considerably cheaper and that was with a one year warranty on parts and labor. They sent a rollback to get her car and had the problem diagnosed that afternoon. Ended up it was not the transmission but the drive line assembly and they had the vehicle ready to go before noon the next day. The cost of the repair was half of what the Volvo dealership quoted. Vehicle is running great and she could not be happier. Excellent experience!!!!!

Took my mercury van In the shop back in November as soon as I get it back I had to take it back and have them look at it. Now current day it's leaking fluid again and is empty they do anything for me totL cost was 3700 I'm out that. Will never go back waste of money and timeService: TransmissionService: Transmission

I called this morning 8/7/19 and asked for a quote I was told bring my vehicle on down and they'd look at it immediately, and they did. I was so upset I wouldn't be able to afford my repairs but Jack reassured me they'd work with me to make sure my vehicle was fixed. He was kind and understanding. I'd definitely refere anyone to Economy Transmissions any day.

I am very highly skeptical of virtually ALL mechanics because I know that there are TONS of them out there who are just shady people. There's only one general mechanic (who doesn't do transmission overhauls) that I trust and that's Phibb's Automotive in Knoxville. I've done business with them for decades. I got a good referral from Jaime Phibbs (whom I know is a very honorable man) about Economy Transmissions. Jamie told me that he grew up with Travis (the owner of Economy Transmissions) and told me that I could trust him. When I took my car to Economy Transmissions, I was very impressed with the manager, Jack who provided excellent quality customer service, explained everything clearly about the problems with my Ford E350 Cargo Van and worked in a very timely manner to get everything running in excellent condition for me. They also even charged me less than the original estimate that I received from Marshall's Transmissions whom I have heard very positive reviews about also. I will definitely do business again with Economy Transmissions!

Got my radiator replaced awhile back and was surprised when I heard how much it was going to be. They don't over price like most autocare places do. The customer service is absolutely wonderful. I was overall pleased with the service here.

Jack is the best. I am from Alabama and have a real need to be home soon. He is working very diligently to see I make it home on time. Wish he was in Birmingham. You east tennessee'ns are lucky to have him
