I don't take my time to review a lot of places but Anderson Automotive's service was so quick/honest and good that it has me recommending them to anyone I know with a motor vehicle. I am super picky with who I take my car to and definitely don't trust it with just anyone but if I'm ever out around Knoxville I know who to take it to now.My experience: Lexus SC300.I called ahead and told the person on the phone about my situation and Ned told me they were busy but I can come and get in line since they don't do appointments, I dropped my car off Friday around 12pm (they were busy for the day) so they told me Ned would get working on it Monday since they are closed for the weekend. The price they had given me for a install on my lower control arms that I had bought was pretty good and beat a lot of other shops around. So before I drop my car off I tell the guy at the counter I want to add a alternator to the things to install since I already had it as well. (He told me they would call me to let me know how much more it would be and that I should know that it's my provided part so they can't ensure it will work therefore cannot replace it later on free of charge.) I go ahead and give him the key and take pictures of my car all around just in case then leave. Ned then called me that afternoon around 3-4pm to tell me how much more it would be to install the alternator and again, not a bad price at all. Super reasonable. Today (Monday) I called them around 1pm and the guy told me that my car had just got done so I went to go pick it up and as I was paying I saw that the price reflected on the labor part was actually a little bit lower than what agreed on, but that just brought a smile to my face and made my day a hell of a lot better, even if it wasn't a lot it still helps. So again, SUPER HONEST / QUICK / PROFESSIONAL AND REASONABLE MECHANICS!!! They also did not try to sell me up on something I didn't need or come up with something crazy like other shops try to do either. Definitely bring your car to AA&T for those little repairs!!

I cannot recommend Anderson Automotive enough.While on 1000 mile trip to Knoxville I discovered that shielding under front bumper and engine had disconnected and was partially dragging on pavement. I showed up unannounced to Anderson as it was near my downtown hotel. A temporary fix on the spot at a surprisingly fair price allowed me to complete the trip and to get back home. Everyone there there was terrific and discussed what needed to be done so that I could call my mechanic at home to get parts ordered while I was traveling.

My wife and I were broken down about 20 miles from the shop. We drove very slowly to the location and received an assessment in a short amount of time.I believe the mechanic's name was Ned . We were traveling to see our grandsons in Florida and really hoped we were going to be treated honestly and we sure were.I was fixed up with an honest affordable rate and our vaca. was great thanks to the 5star service we got.On the road again ! Huge Thanks !

By far the best experience I have had with mechanics. They took care of issue with my Daughter's car while in school. Communication was perfect and they were very quick completing the work. I would absolutely recommend to anyone that needs a quality mechanic.

I'm a professional driver, putting in about 7k miles a month, so believe me, I know that you really only hear about the bad things. I wanted to give credit where credit is due: on my way home Sunday, March 24th at around 1pm, I spotted one of your drivers at the merger with I-40 from 640. The truck had "001" under the mudflap and was hauling a red Jeep, so hopefully that narrows it down. Anyway, this driver was hands down the best tow truck driver I've ever seen. Some of the ones out there can drive like absolute maniacs, but your driver didn't speed, used a turn signal, and even waited to merge until after he was clear of the solid white line, which is something I didn't even know people still knew to do. If I'm in need of a tow, I'm definitely calling you guys, as I would actually feel safe trusting my vehicle with you, or riding in the cab. Kudos to this driver :D

DONT USE THIS COMPANY....My son was in an accident today off the interstate and the police called Anderson's to tow it. I called to see about getting it towed to the dealer to be fixed and the man on call told me they were able to get my son's car started so I could come pick it up if I wanted to. I immediately said I'm on my way. I was taken back with the fact that they were messing with his car in the first place so I wanted to get it back asap. After getting my son's car we pulled out and and my son noticed his change($20-30) was missing and then noticed his colognes and ray ban sunglasses were gone. I immediately turned around and went back. The men were gone so I called them and told them I need my son belongings back now. He told me they didn't take them so I told him I'm calling the cops. While on the phone with the cops he pulls up with my son's glasses. WOW. He proceeded to blame them on the other guy who was working with him.Then I told him this is terrible that people would steal from someone's car and told him I already reported it to the police. He didn't like that very much and called me multiple curse words which I returned the same back. They dont even deserve one star.

I had a flat tire in front of my apartment complex when I woke up in the morning, a couple of taps on my smartphone and Alex was there within 30 minutes to change my tire. He was very efficient as well as being professional and courteous. I would recommend them !

Hydroplaned off the I-40 and needed a tow, unfortunately I was in an awful spot that took a lot longer to get me out of than expected, but Jerry and his dispatcher Sean both worked with me reliably to get my car out. We finally got it out and I had originally thought I would have to have it towed to an impound lot but they were nice enough to tow it over to my work for me for my convenience. Both very nice and honest guys. Due to the awful location of my car they had to charge me more to get my car out which is understandable, but I will say it ended up being quite pricey. But honestly for the great service and general help they provided me I can t say it wasn t worth the money. Highly recommend their towing service.

This place is amazing! One of the best shops I ve been to.Very kind people, efficient, good communication, great value, has coffee, and is close to downtown if you need somewhere to wait.Ned fixed our problem in a single afternoon. I don t think we would have been driving for a week or two if we had gone to any other mechanic.We were on a road trip and our Chevy Trax stopped making it up hills. Ned found the issue, and worked some magic to find the one replacement part in all of Knoxville because it s on national backorder. The part was used but in near perfect condition so it was way more affordable than we expected.Thanks again for helping us make it back in one piece!

My son and I were driving out to his college when our car started overheating. It was the end of the day and Anderson automotive took the time to look at our car. Thankfully we could drive it the rest of the way. We appreciate their time and great knowledge. Wish they were near us I would definitely get my car fixed here!!

These guys did a great job in towing my trailer and my rzr. I got to their shop the next day snd they had a tarp over my rzr keeping everything dry. All the drivers and office personal was very helpful and a pleasure to work with and the owner went above and beyond to help me out. Highly recommend these guys..

If anyone is looking for a reputable auto repair shop in Knoxville, I highly recommend Anderson Automotive on Cooper Street. My daughter's Jeep started acting up last night. Tomorrow she is scheduled to drive 9 hours from Knoxville to home. Anderson Automotive was quick to get her car in this morning (knowing she would need to drive home tomorrow). They quickly diagnosed and fixed her issue and communicated with my husband the entire time. They were fast, honest and very reasonable. I specifically told them to tow my car to a location and it was towed at the wrong location. I called to have it fixed and the lady on the phone was incredibly nice and accommodating. However, I received a call later that I was going to be charged another towing fee for their mistake. They tried telling me they clarified the location and address which was not true. I told the lady and the man towing my car before heading over. She never specifically gave me a number address we just clarified on the Kingston location and the name of the business and it was dropped off at the wrong business. I understand tirediscounter and discount tire can easily be confused but in the future I would hope there was better communication. Needless to say I didn t follow up with another tow from them. Nice lady on the phone but just wish the experience was different.Service: Car towing

One of your drivers literally just cut off 2 lanes of heavy traffic on Edge more with a bright orange Ram truck on it. **Great driving. That's definitely how I want someone driving with my car being towed.** And no this wasn't people just letting him over, he sharply cut them off. Will never be using you guys

Car wouldn't start in town. We live about an hour and a half away and weren't sure what to do. You're trucker driver came in excellent time, took it to the garage, and the mechanic find a faulty wire and sent us on our way. Chevy Cruze broke down on the freeway, called to get the car towed and worked on. They were great at helping me get the car off the freeway and were considerate on the amount of work that would be done based off my price range. Reasonable prices & transparency is what I received from this company. Been to a couple other places in town and this was by far my best overall experience. Update!I was back in town (27 July) when my Suburban developed an overheating issue. I called Anderson Automotive because I trust Ned and his crew. They were able to squeeze me in and Ned quickly found the issue. He then spent considerable time chasing down the required parts, no easy task for a 1999 vehicle. Ned worked almost two hours in the open asphalt lot, since the bays were all occupied. My vehicle is repaired and functional again! There's no shop I trust more than these good folks!These guys rock!! They fixed previous repairs that were done incorrectly and were extremely easy to work with. Ned and his entire crew will take care of your vehicle like it is their own. If you have auto repair or service needs go see Anderson Automotive and Towing. Not great... the company is a bit predatory. By charging daily for the car being on the lot. I wasn't told about that when I got a towed... And how much it would cost

When our cars transmission failed on I-40 in Knoxville, we were towed to Anderson Automotive. With limited options to get home, they stepped up and towed our car (and us) over 200 miles to our home in Kentucky. Extremely courteous and professional, they went over & above with their service. Cannot thank this business enough - they are great!!

We were told to expect service with 1-1.5 hours which would have been doable. We were told there were 5 trucks out and we were on the list next for service. One hour later when my husband called for an update, we were told that they had one truck running, he was on a call and we were next. They called back and said we could call back to Insurance and get a new assignment, but with that we would have to start over with another company at the bottom of their list and the driver was finishing his call. Another hour later I called to follow up and was told he was finishing up on Alcoa Hwy and would be there. That was 20 min drive and giving time for dropping a vehicle we should see the driver in under 45 mins later. Our first contact was 5:15. The driver arrived at 8:40. This left us in a parking lot for 3.5 and well after dark. If I could give them less than one star I wouldService: Car towing

they did a great job! I had a hole in my tire and the whole process was less than an hour from start to finish. it was well priced and I was very glad they could help me so quickly even when they had mentioned they had a busy day. I will be going back!!

They were curteous, gave their honest opinion on diagnosing an older car. I paid the the disgnosis, but felt it was fair. Simultaneously. I had a small issue with the car i drove there when i was coming to pick up the other car. End of day, they were ready to go, but Ron took the time (10 minutes) and solved that cars problem! I highly recommend this team

Got towed to Anderson Automotive for a tire replacement by chance. How lucky I was. Their staff was very welcoming, and their waiting accommodations were by far the best I ve experienced. Treated me like family rather than a walking dollar sign. I was back on the road in less than an hour. I will definitely return for some regular maintenance as needed. Thank you all.Service: Tires

My wife and I were taking a road trip and stopped in Crossville, Tennessee at the gas station. When we came back to our car, it wouldn't start up. The battery had died. We popped the hood and not even 2 minutes later a gentleman who I believe was the owner of Anderson Automotive came by with a battery jump starter and offered to help us out. He gave us a jump and we were able to continue our trip after stopping again for a new battery. If I ever have car trouble again around Knoxville, I will be visiting their shop. When we suffered a radiator failure on I-95 and limped off the interstate, our road service dispatched Anderson Automotive & Towing to retrieve our vehicle. The drive arrived at the time promised, and was very careful and precise while loading our 2003 Tahoe on the flatbed. Unfortunately, Anderson's was too booked to do the repairs themselves, but the vehicle was promptly delivered to another shop who could get it in. We were at a disadvantage because of the breakdown, and Anderson's treated us fairly and professionally.Service: Car towing

1 star solely because i just watched one of their flatbed drivers cut across 2 lanes on western avenue in front of 3 cars, nearly clipping the front end of one of them. Whoever that was doesnt need to be trusted with other peoples vehicles.

Excellent service. Long story short, was on my way to Atlanta from Philly and did some damage to the inside of my rim, causing a flat. Even on the last day of the week before Easter weekend, while they had plenty of work to do, they found the time to patch up my rim and get me back on the road. Very nice group of guys. Would highly recommend to anybody needing service in the area.Service: Brakes
