Loved my install from these guys. I got rid of outdated radio and put in a wireless head unit. Pictures is before and after install.

I had a new Alpine head unit that I brought in for their install and I am very pleased with the results! As I understand, it s not a quick simple job and they did great. I got an appointment quickly, they stuck to their word with the quote and time to install. Amazing customer service with all staff!I would recommend these guys to anyone and plan to revisit when I need to upgrade my speakers in my Jeep. All my questions were answered whether it be via phone, in person or text. They checked all the boxes when it came to communication, responsiveness, timeliness and professionalism. I m glad I followed through with the referral to them. The head unit looks great, jeep put back together flawlessly, the sound is amazing with my already existing equipment and they hooked my phone up and gave me an overview of how to work the new product.

I couldn't be more happy with what this crew has done. I have a classic car & wanted big sound with not being able to see speakers or amps & boy did they deliver. It sounds great & looks very clean. Curtis was great to work with. Thank you guys!

Installed a remote start kit in my wife's truck. Super friendly. Made an appointment, they had it done in an hour and a half or so. Competitive price with all the other places I checked.

Brought my truck here after bringing it to jaac audio and got everything fixed. The staff here is so knowledgeable about letting you know what won t work before trying it and waisting your time. Brought my truck in barely thumping , left with it pounding. Super pleased and will be bringing my wife s car in next. Customer for life!

The most understanding and genuine people you will ever meet. Curtis has got to be one of the best people to know, and he provides excellent service. The first time I went was to get my subs installed and he hooked me up with a better amp that made my subs sound 10x better. I then had to come in again for an upgrade on my subs and they as always treated me with respect and gave me an awesome sound system. I will not go anywhere else but here for my radio needs. I guarantee you they will take excellent care of your car.

I bought a new 2020 Nissan Versa in December and got the lower trim level which did not have Sirius XM or Apple Carplay. It had been several years since I needed a custom install done with an aftermarket unit and really wasn't familiar with the audio installers in the Knoxville area since I have only lived here 4 years.I called around to several places including a big box store. Most of them all told me my car was too new and there was no dash kit available and more-less told me it wasn't possible to upgrade my car with an aftermarket head unit. That was until I dropped in American Radio on my way home from work one morning.Let me say you won't meet or find too many businesses out there that actually pride themselves with their customer service. Curtis and Darren were great;! they walked outside and took a look at my car and said yes we have a dash kit and can do this no problem Curtis was very knowledgeable in helping me pick out a nice Pioneer head unit for my car and he set up an appointment for me.The install went great! I did have to wait a few hours because yes my car is new and they had to make some phone calls to their dash kit supplier and accessory supplier to make sure everything was done right, Let me say while I was waiting, Curtis offered me food and something to drink and another employee there even offered to let me use her vehicle and go and get something to eat. How many businesses would go out of their way like that for their customer?The final result of my installation was excellent! as you can see in the photos ,my audio unit looks as if it came factory installed whenever I bought the car. They were also able to get all of the steering wheel controls, etc to integrate and work! I could not be happier! also this is not a business that sells you something as complicated as a new audio unit and sends you out the door with no support; Curtis told me anytime there was a problem or a new software update available for my system to just stop in and they would take care of it with no appointment needed! that is just excellent service and they really do go the extra mile!If you are as particular about your car as I am do yourself a favor and trust these guys to do the job! they will get it done right the first time and should any problem arise they will stand by their work. I could not be any happier and could not recommend these guys enough. They are excellent and will get my business anytime I need an audio system installed,. When the other guys said NO these guys said YES ! If it can be done these guys can do it!

Curtis and his team have always gone above and beyond with upgrading my outdated OEM head units and getting me back into the 21st century! They have been at this for a very long time, and both locations have never disappointed.

Had the radio in my truck replaced today, not happy with the product. I told them I wanted a radio that was a direct replacement for the stock unit (I paid extra for a wiring harness that was supposed to be plug and play). I get in my truck after the install and see a wire coming out from under the dash to plug my phone in and a microphone hanging from the roof. I asked why they didn't connect the existing USB ports and microphone and was told they couldn't on a Ford. This is not what I was told when I when they gave me an estimate for the radio and wiring harness. Will not be a repeating customer. My truck does absolutely nothing it use to do buyer beware they will lie and take advantage of you in a heartbeat to make money off of you. It's a shame business have started stooping this low..

Hands down the best car audio place around! I've been coming here for years and I've always been happy and very pleased with the service I've received! These guys really know what they're doing and know exactly the best setups to run. Rather you're just getting into car audio, or a seasoned vet. This is the best place to go for all of your needs. You won't be disappointed!

Second time I've come here. They do a great job, but both times I had 9am drop-off appointment and had to wait 20+ minutes past 9am for someone to show up to even open the business. There was another customer waiting as well this time at 9am. If you're going to take 9am appts, have someone here at 9am. If it wasn't for this, I'd give 5 stars for their work and pricing.Update: waited 34 minutes today. They never showed up. Their sign says they are "closing early" on Labor Day; it doesn't say they are closed for the whole day. I specifically made this appt a month in advance because I had the day off and a family member was free to pick me up so I didn't have to wait half a day. Wasted my time.

You can purchase stereos anywhere for any price, but it is going to be the installation of your new stereo that is going to make the big difference. These guys are not young kids trying to figure out what or how to install something. The times I have been there Curtis in Sales with Bruce and Darren in installation, well it does not get any better. I've watched these guys work and all are perfectionists, which is what I am looking for not the cheapest price. They have work on my boat and truck, which was over a $100,000 investment. Don't take a chance on making a mistake, ask for one of these guys by name. You will not be disappointed.

I had an issue with my Pioneer receiver pairing with my I-phone. The receiver kept telling me out of memory. The folks at ARK quickly diagnosed the issue and resolved it. I was on my way in less than 5 minutes. And to beat it all they refused any payment. I will tell all my friends about this superb business .

i would give 5 stars if my amp didn t get messed with which caused my sub to blow two times, had the place i bought the subs from send me back a sub each time obviously, but finally figured out that the gain was turned up almost all the way which was the reason, but on the bright side the installation was very professional, very good wiring, everything about it was good but just make sure to check your amp after install from them

I was in there speaking with a worker, female, and i was asking a bunch of questions. As one does before spending $1k on a radio. She was incredibly pleasant and nice to work with. Another worker of theirs, a man, made a face to the customer he was speaking to after I asked my last question. They both started laughing. I immediately left. I won't be spending money with someone that laughs at you for wanting to be informed. It's a shame too because I had just been approved to finance a radio through them right before this happened.

I was super pleased with my install. I selected them for their reputation as expert installers. Kenwood system they put into my Miata looks like it came from the factory. Left the car clean and answered any questions I had.

Recently visited American Radio to purchase a new in dash Kenwood infotainment system. Curtis and the folks over at American Radio made this an effortless experience. They're down to earth, easy to deal with, and I highly recommend the work they do.I was a few minutes late getting there to pick up my vehicle, and yet Curtis stayed, and not only allowed for a late pick up, but took time to go over the new system with me.You won't be disappointed with the selection there whether it's Kenwood, Pioneer, or anything in between. They do a fine job, and at a reasonable price.

Great place for your upgrade of sound. Chris is a very knowledgeable salesman that pushes nothing on you. Very personable, and he will definitely teach you some things. I shopped around to 4 other places, sorry if you reading this Chris, but he was the cheapest for the higher level eq. Thank you American Auto.

Great install. Can't see any traces that the car was worked on. In other words, everything was put back properly with no scratches, loose wires, etc. It was returned to me as clean as they received it.

I looked online for someone to install a radio in my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 and came across American Radio. I read the reviews and chose them and was very happy I did. I went and was shown several radios and chose Kenwood Excelon 9907xr. I was scheduled to have it installed on Oct 7th. Well I received a call to come in early if I could and had it installed on Sept 29th. This was my first experience on doing something like this and the gentleman at the counter took the time to answere all my questions. Very nice man. On the day of installation I had my 4 year old gran daughterwho played for about 2 1/2 hours. I was worried she would upset them but then one of the technicians came out with a treat for her. I highly recommend American Radio if someone is looking to upgrade their sound system

The service here is absolutely amazing! They put in an amp, subs, custom box and controls which all turned out to be not only super tight and crisp sound but also looked great.They continued to support their work long after it had been completed. My car needed some warranty work at the dealership and the dealership tried to void my warranty due to having an aftermarket stereo. The gentlemen at American Radio quickly and kindly stepped in to help get everything resolved.They truly care about their customer's and the value of taking care of people through building solid relationships. I continue to tell all of my friends how good of an experience I have had from their business. I have heard time and again the same great reviews from others that had work done here.

Great Service! I had an appointment to diagnose and repair a speaker problem. My appointment was for 1pm I arrived at 12:55pm. My issue was diagnosed, new speakers installed, and I pulled out of the parking lot @ 1:29pm. This was my first experience with American Radio I am completely happy with their service, price, attention to detail, the fast friendly service with a smile, and the speed in which all this was accomplished! I simply had an awesome experience.

I needed a replacement for my speaker and American Radio was awesome. Everyone there was so nice and fast. My new speakers sound great my car doesn't even look like it's been touch, and the price was very reasonable. Would most definitely go there again

The work they did was amazing ! Not only is the customer service A++ but the quality of work is beyond compare. They will be installing all of my audio needs decks and equipment and I m not even from Tennessee! Overall if I could give them more stars I would break the scale. Thanks again to Curtis and his team it was a pleasure coming in and I will definitely see you guys soon!

I came in with a bundled up wire mess. They cleaned everything up and installed my alpine dual din at an amazing price! Very friendly and respectful workers! Went above and being for me! Highly recommend!!
