Was very very late hours late after saying he was on his way, told my wife it was her shock and sway bars and no work was done that night because he didn't show up till dark!. After we paid 230$ already it was going to be another almost $400 which parts was only around 160$, all because he was late and couldn't fix anything that night we was going to have to pay another $230! We took it into a shop to get a second opinion and jr's mechanic told me that my wife was very lucky she didn't wreck because it wasn't a shock or sway bar it was her tires and both front ones had huge knots in them and was ready to blow. Kinda upsetting after paying that much for nothing and then was wrong about everything as well. They was very nice people but I couldn't recommend them.

So it started I called him to fix my van he hooked his computer up and started things that weren't related to problem and things he could do to it that wasn't the problem. He kept on getting no where took off parts and left said he be back the next day but never showed I called an called then he said he'd sell me his van so I gave him 500 for the van and he was supposed to get me the title he met me at the title place and said we were getting title only to find out that he has a loan on the van and he can't get the title so I took matters in my own hands and called my guy and got the title the legal way and now he's asking for money lol I paid him to come fix my van and he never showed up and he couldn't get the title I owe him nothing he's lucky I don't take him to court he's a shade tree he doesn't belong in the mechanic's world he does everything by tablet if that thing doesn't tell what to do he's lost . I said what I said update karmas mean lady lmao saw him today 3/13/2024

I put in O Reillys without heat and Jay was inside buying parts and he was able to get heat somewhat now with warmer cars than what I put in with. Thank you you re the best. Highly recommend

Update: After inspecting his repair , this is his idea of a drill and tap. If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would. Unacceptable work. Pass on this one.Showed up hours later than when he said I m on the way . I had to walk him through the whole process to install the part when I really just needed a broken bolt extracted.

Jay is very professional and was right on time with everything he promised. Time frame , price and the way he performed the service I requested was all with a smile. I would recommend him any day rather than the crook's at the shops in the tri city's. Call him up today if you want it done right the first time. Five star mechanic all day everyday.

He was so accommodating and helpful. I only regret not using him because we had a warranty. If we had our van would have been up and running in a few days, instead it's going to be in the shop for months now.

I really had high hopes as he pulled over to help when my car broke down on NYE, but I unfortunately made a mistake trusting him with my vehicle. He was very confident that he knew how to fix it.. after a month and a half and $2500+ later, my car still isn t running. Every week we were adding on a new part that he guaranteed would fix it and paying more money. He told us that he had shops that he would work on vehicles at, but my car was parked all over the tri-cities. He left it at a sketchy hotel for over a week, and then left it at an Ingles, and I m not sure where else because I couldn t get him to tell me. I couldn t get a response from him for 2 weeks and had to threaten to report the car as stolen get him to respond. When I got it back, he was convinced that I needed a new fuel pump that would cost $450. I got a second opinion, and it turns out that he failed to notice the hole in cylinder 2 of my engine. Blue Ridge Motorworks was able to tell me that after one day in their shop and he had my car for a month and a half. He told me my car wasn t fixed but it was drivable , and it definitely was not. There was black smoke coming out and it was barely getting power the whole way from Kingsport to JC. I also paid him to fix my headlight as it had gone out and immediately noticed when picking it up that it was still not lighting up. He then stuck his hand in there, had to move things around to get it to come on, and explained how he considered that to be fixed the bulb was the off again by the time the car got home. His labor cost was definitely cheaper than most, but the communication and quality of work is extremely poor . you get what you pay for, I guess. :(

Highly recommend Jay! After taking my car to 4 different shops that all charged me almost 1000$ to not even fix it, I called Jay and he came within minutes! Didn't need a tow truck, Jay plugged into my car and after hour I was back on the road again! Best road side assistance ever! He fixed my problemthat no one else could all on the side of the road! Jays was amazing he the cheapest price around he came to my vehicle at home and diagnosed the ac not working ended up being evaporator core he had it done in less than a day I would highly recommend him to all my friends and family or anybody that needs their vehicle fixed with roadside assistance

My sister paid you to work on her durango on saturday you told her you needed to buy the part to fix it and thats why she paid you up front before the work was done but you never showed up she's tried calling you and texting you and you have never responded to her i live with her she were on a fixed income and need help with her vehicle to get to work its not right screwing her over like this if you dint refund her money back or actually perform the work on the car we will proceed with further legal matter

I have had Jay do work for me on 4 separate cars and has never failed to impress me and has always solved all my car problems.1st car: Changed spark plugs on 98 Firebird2nd car: Fixed punctured radiator on 04 Mustang3rd car: Fixed brakes and loud banging noice in suspension on 08 Range Rover4th car: Fixed major engine problems that the dealership couldn t even fix on a 17 Hyundai Accent110% Would Recommend and will continue to hire him for as long as I can!

I highly recommend Jays mobile mechanic to everyone I know he fixed multiple problems on my vehicle some I didn t know about he replaced my brakes He installed a new tag light and also called a huge dent out from my bumper, after someone randomly hit me in the parking lot! I will definitely use Jay s mobile mechanics again. He was very reasonable on his prices. He was extremely knowledgeable. Couldn t ask for a better mechanic. Tried hiring this guy to do an alignment on my rv. He and I went round and round over the fact I had to pay half up front and other half when finished. Since I've never had to do that with any other company before I was reluctant. If it's his policy I get it but told him he'd be paid when job was completed. Too many horror stories out there of people paying some or all money up front and the job not being done or completed. We eventually came to an agreement and he was to come around 1. Got a company text saying he'd be there between 1 and 245. Which was fine. I cleared my whole day and he never showed. Kept saying he was on his way but never showed. He may be good at his job but his customer service isn't good at all. I explained this to him, told him I spend alot to keep my vehicles running and I do, and if he showed up and did well he'd surely get more of my business. I have all texts to prove all this. Not bashing his work as he didn't do any. Just his service.

I was traveling to church hill TN on a business trip and needed my wife to come pick me up and three minutes away she breaks down. A quick google search and Jayz Mobile mechanic popped up and I m sure glad that it did. Very professional with how everything is carried out, the payment, his equipment, and showed up quickly even though we were a bit of ways away. Also gave you the option to see where he is at and how far away he is. It turns out my wife just ran out of gas but Jay still made sure that was the issue and then went back to get us some fuel. If it was something major he offers to tow the car back to his shop too which is amazing service. Hands down the best roadside experience I ve ever had.

I called Mr .jay today on 8/22/2023 because my semi truck was having battery issues. Mr Jay showed up on time and figured out the problem with no hesitation. I was back on the road in no time . I took my car to 2 mechanic shops and a muffler shop before finally calling Jayz. He came to the house and was able to fix the car in my driveway. I had 2 cylinders misfiring, and no one else seemed to know how to fix it. Jayz mobile mechanic came to my house and fixed an exhaust problem, replaced the shocks on my car, replaced my Rogers and brakes. He did a fantastic job and started working on it the very week that I called. His price was half of what I would have paid to a shop and he stayed in constant communication with me until the job was done which he finished in two days! My car is running great! I would recommend that Jayz Mobile Mechanic is the very first call you make when you need your car fixed immediately! Jay was wicked helpful and overall made a bad experience great. The park brake button fell into our center console, he got to us within 15 mins of calling to pull apart the console, fix the button, put the console together, and made sure the park brake turned off. Jay came through on a Sunday for me to my car where it was stuck for 24 hours and within 5 seconds knew what the issue was. We took the bad car piece to TWO different shops and both said the piece was fine. Jay knew it wasn t and once we installed the new piece, the car finally started on the first try! He was very informative and extremely knowledgeable. Your go to guy- LOOK NO FURTHER!
