I have written a review for Dawes automotive before, but wanted to write another one since he just did a huge job for me. I just had to have the engine in my 2018 Ford Edge replaced, I had to go thru Carmax warranty That I purchased with the car almost 4 years ago.Mr Dawes did an awesome job, you would never know anything had been done to my car other than it runs like a new one(of course a new motor). He went the extra mile for me with dealing with the warranty company. Tom Dawes is Extremely Honest and fair with his pricing and work.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I have used Dawes Automotive for years, he has always been friendly, does excellent work at a fair price, way better pricing than a dealership and has all the knowledge and resources they have. I'm not from the area at all . I'm 10 hours from home and ran into some oil leaking issues with my 17 f250. I called all the other top rated places in the area first as you would not knowing the area or who to call... none or them seemed eager to help and everyone was pushing me back atleast 2 weeks on the phone not even knowing what my issue was . I called Dawes and immediately this man was helpful . Knowing he was already busy he asked me to come by so he could look at it better for me. Told me exactly what the issue was , and called my warranty people right then and made sure I was taken care of before I even left that day with appt scheduled... even saved mexa lil money on installing a part... not to mention the man's a MARINE !! Helicopter mechanic in Okinawa for 8 years. I knew right then I was in good hands ! Wether your local or traveling through , if your looking for a mechanic my man Dawes is the one for you! Semper Fi

Very concise and meticulous mechanics employed here. The owner Tom is very honest and reasonable regarding the price and diagnosis of your vehicle. Did a great job replacing AC compressor, belts and tensioners on my F-450 dually. Very friendly and knowledgeable. He is dependent on his parts vendors for time frame but that is to be expected. I will definitely use Dawes again when needed.

I recently had to replace the transmission in my HOnda CRV. A former client of mine[I am retired] highly recommended Dawes Automotive, so I called them for a quote. After speaking with Tom Dawes on the phone, he was so professional and knowledgeable that I decided to let him do the work rather than call around. I had heard some prices and his was a fair price and that is all I wanted along with quality work. I got a great job, fair price, and have found a trusted mechanic for all of my future needs. On top of that, you won't find a nicer guy. Thanks , Tom!

Tom is an honest mechanic he will tell you if he messed up and doesn't try to hide it and charge more money for the job. It did take a long time to get the vehicle back but at least it was repaired properly and not half done or just completely screwed up like most other mechanics do. I highly recommend Tom he will get the job done and do it right.

Having a worn down automatic transmission that finally bit the dust, I called around a total of 10 local transmission shops, of the three that actually had working phones and answered, Dawes was very straightforward, honest, and gave me a fully researched quote (actually three quote options) rather than just a rough estimate. The customer service was great, and even though the hurricane in Texas had delayed my part (and the company sent the wrong one, so another delay totaling almost two weeks), he was always willing to give me a heads up and took my time into consideration. His quote was spot-on, and didn't mess around, he even came in and worked all day on a weekend to try to rectify the delays we had. This kind of service is greatly appreciated when your car is your livelihood. This place is also one of the ONLY places in the area that will service any aspect of your vehicle. Coupled with being honest and straightforward with everything (on top of a very friendly and professional demeanor), I know where I am going for future work. Took an extra business card to reccomend to my friends who may have car troubles. Upstanding customer service, great work, and affordable prices. 5/5 stars for sure!

Amazing experience... Other mechanic wanted to charge me to put a new head on the car due to a blown spark plug. Dawes looked at the car explained what had happen and put in a helix coil and save me thousands that i didn't need to spend. Honest and very dependable. Thank you

Dawe was very knowledgeable, and did a thorough job on my timing belt replacement. Went by all factory guidelines, and specs. Verry impressed and gained my trust as he was honest upfront and didn't try to sell anything.

( Wise up Ladies) We've got a conman Tom at Dawes Automotive I took my car there! Just to fix the remote he charged me 1800.00 Hundred Dollars! The remote didn't work after I got it home no refund not fixed a remote with Key is $280.00 And that's with programming into car. This is a Volkswagen Jetta
