Disclaimer before i start, i do not work for any of the companies involved in this, although I do deliver the same things to various places on a pretty much daily basis. In regards to the post by the delivery driver who complained on not getting a tip on a $400+ order, you left out some important information in an effort to slam a business since you felt the dollar amount of the order and what you agreed to do it for were not enough. You had a pickup at what is obviously a tire distributor going to a tire shop. Obviously you are picking up tires, the merchandise the shop sells to support its business and employees. The shop owner already pays the distributor a premium well in excess of what you received to have the items delivered on a rush as opposed to waiting hours or next day as the customer has an urgent need to have the tire(s) replaced. It is not the shop or distributor's fault the company you choose to deliver for pays you a very small percentage of what they receive. You saw where the pickup and drop-off were and how much it paid. YOU chose to drive from Elizabethton to Piney Flats to Johnson City with the knowledge you may only receive that upfront amount. The fact you were in Elizabethton shows the company you drive for could not find any of their people closer to the pickup that would accept the order. In my experience, it is by far the exception rather than the rule to receive a tip from the recipient when the shipper is sending merchandise as opposed to food or grocery/convenience items (i.e. department stores and other retailers. I have NEVER in almost 5 years of doing this had a business receiving the merchandise they use to provide their income from a wholesaler leave a tip, nor have I ever expected or wanted one. But then, I wouldn't drive that far for what your app offered, much less actually done any work as well.Perhaps this driver should consider another line of work or stick to delivering food and such and leave the real work to people who know what they're doing and how things actually work. BTW, I have made a really nice living the last almost 5 years doing gig-work exclusively, but then I choose to work smarter than perhaps this person does. Also, I have been a customer at Larry's myself for many years and have always received excellent service and been well.pleased with the quality and price of what they do.

We had an appointment for my boyfriends truck to be worked on today. When we brought it in they said the appointment was the day before. We remembered the appt because it was easy- day before Valentine s Day. Their appointment system is just someone writing dates and notes down in an unorganized notebook. We ve used them for tires and truck mods but will never be back. His breaks are totally out and we needed the truck for a trip tomorrow but they absolutely wouldn t work with us despite being repeat customers.

I have never in my life complained about not getting a tip. But I gotta draw the line somewhere, if your business doesn t tip the delivery driver on a $487 order you re a horrible person. I got absolutely no tip for delivering to Larry s tires. DoorDash paid me $9 to drive from Elizabethton to piney flats to Johnson city and spent at least $5 in gas. Meaning I only made I only made $4 in almost an hour! That s not even minimum wage! I deserve at least minimum for my work!

If they was a no star option that s what Larry s tire center would get. I understand they were busy but I waited 30 minutes like the guy asked me to then they was a guy that walked in and wasn t waiting to be waited on. He was taken care of first even after I had waited all that time. So if you want to be ignored and shunned like you don t matter this is the place you need to shop!! Have a great day!

Called to cancel my appointment two weeks in a row. Not apologetic and the representative was not accommodating with the one option he gave me for rescheduling. I will be taking my business elsewhere this is not the same Larry s Tire Center I have dealt with for over 15 years.

Larry's Tire gets 5 stars from me! I got home one evening and realized I had a screw in my tire. I called them 30 minutes before they closed in hopes that it would be quick fix. They were kind enough to let me stop by so that they could patch up my tire. It took them not even 15 minuets AND they did it for FREE! I am so grateful! Thanks for your wonderful service, Larry's Tire Center.

I should have posted this a long time ago, because I ve been coming to Larry s for a couple of years now, and they always fix me right up! I m never there for more than 30 minutes to an hour (sometimes less than 30!) depending on what they re doing, and everyone who works there is super friendly. They have put air in my tires and rotated them more than once, and fixed a flat all for free since I bought my tires there. Even when I had to buy a new tire after popping one, it didn t break the bank. They also change my oil and they do a great job at an affordable price! I highly recommend Larry s Tire Center! They have saved me on many occasions.

I recently needed tires for my Chevy Tahoe. Lamar recommended Falken tires. I read the reviews on these tires and was very impressed. Lamar's knowledge, experience and courtesy was truly exceptional in ALL aspects. His "No Haggle" price was $70.29 cheaper than NOT SO Discount Tires, right down the street!!!! Plus, I received MUCH MORE personalized service with a sincere THANK YOU for my business!!! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Larry's Tires Service based on my experience and supporting local business!!! They had my new tires on in absolutely no time at all and did a FANTASTIC job in EVERY respect!! It was like driving a brand new Tahoe!!! Their hearts are invested in their business and it shows in EVERY possible way!! Honest, truthful people!!! Very pleased!!!!

I always buy my tires at Larry's/ best price and service for sure. I took my car in thinking I needed my brakes repaired- They checked it out, cleaned the pads, rotated my tires and said everything was good to go- They did not charge me a dime- hard to find businesses like this that simply do a great job and are honest people. Why take your vehicle anywhere else? Highly recommend this company-

My first visit to Larry's was shortly after moving here. After a 9 hour trip, my trailer blew both tires. I looked up tire places on my phone, found Larry's & I left the fully loaded trailer on the side of the highway took 2 spare rims with me. The had the tires I needed & when I got there they were ready to install. No waiting (they knew my urgency). Great Price too!I just recently had my front end alignment done. In & out in 30 minutes, perfect job!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I bought 4 new Hankook Optimo tires from them in 2007 and 4 new Falken Sincera tires from them last week, in May 2022. Their good prices and service have worked out good for me.One good turn deserves another.

I had a hairline crack on the inside flange of my wheel. Luckily I found these guys and they had me back on the road in less than two hours. Every other shop was charging outrageous and estimating the turn around time to be 3-5 days. 10/10 would recommend Larry s!

A business should honor their word regardless of who the owner is. I have had my car serviced at Larry s many times and have never had a complaint against them. I have also felt that they were honest with me when so many car dealerships are dishonest, until today 12/7.2107.Today is the first time that I have been dissatisfied with the service that I received at Larry s Tire. In Oct. 2016 I had brake pads, front and back and rear rotors put on my car, $454.49. I called and went into Larry s Tire on 11/15 and told someone that I had worked with before at Larry s that my brakes were squeaking and I didn t understand why when they had just been put on a year ago. I was asked if they just squeaked in the mornings or when it was cold and I said no they squeaked all the time. To make this short my breaks were checked, I was told they had a little dust on them, which was removed and that if my breaks continued to squeak to bring my car back ask for the same person and everything would be replaced at no charge. Well I called yesterday 12/6, set-up an apt for this morning at 8:00 am, asked at the service desk if they were aware of my situation, was told yes they had a note on my ticket to replace the front pads. I said I thought that all four pads would be replaced; they said no the note just said front pads. The person that I had dealt with before was not there but they said he was the one that put the note on the ticket. I said OK. My car is completed they said there wasn t any more squeaking and the charge was $82.13. I said I was told that it wouldn t be any charge. The person at the front desk basically said sorry that is not the way that it is that he had to pay the people that worked on the car. I stated again that this was not what I was told and I didn t expect this charge. I stated that, If I had known this I would have waited until after the holidays to get this done. He said sorry he had never heard of someone being told that there would be no charge for the labor. I explained that I had no reason to lie about what I was told.I was very upset but I paid the bill and asked for the person that told me that there would be no charge to call me. The person called me and stated that they had made a mistake and thought that my car had been serviced in Oct 2017 (he had made a copy of my receipt that showed 2016) and that he was sorry that he gave me the wrong information. He also stated that if he was still in charge that he would honor his word. Because my pads are under warranty and were faulty Larry s does not have to pay to replace my pads but I have to pay for the service to replace them. They are the ones that put the faulty pads on my car! This isn t fair but you know I m thankful for the service I have received in the past at Larry s and pray that my situation is not the way that the new owner is going to treat customers that have been coming to Larry s for years.Customer,Collie

WARNING I was a employee here not long ago and would like to share some things about this place, the owner is a decent guy but the son is a absolute tirent with the biggest superiority complex I've ever seen,a true narcissist which had lead to a complete breakdown of communication and motivation between office and shop.coming in for a service?half the time your filter will not be changed, your lifetime balance with new tires, when brought back for said balance weights are just hammered on and sent on your way,if we didn't have the oil your vehicle required,a different weight was added.i would NEVER take my personal vehicle here EXCEPT for a alignment, the alignment tech strives to do the best job possible but even he is limited by Superiors who simply do not care and who's attitude/complexes have lead to motivation strikes, the owners son should be avoided at all cost and really should be medicated.i wouldn't take the time to do this if it wasn't true people, don't get ripped... YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!

Very helpful, honest auto service. Decently priced too. I was in and out within 30 minutes for tire balancing and rotation. Turns out my car had been shaking because I had 2 warped wheels. (Toyota of Johnson City sold me a car with 2 warped wheels? Yeah I know.) But they ended up referring me to a few different places that could help me out. Very pleased with my experience. And I WILL be coming back to get some new wheels put on. 5/5

I am so shocked to write like this. We did the oil change with this place on the way to drive back Miami, Fl. I went to change my oil again and the mechanic informed me they broke the oil filter casing which I have to replace it now. This is quite unacceptable. You pay the price they asked you pay and you expect the best possible service. Now when you know this is what happened this is highly unprofessional given they are so much rated in their reviews. I am so much disappointed. You should have the right tool when you take a job. My mechanic told me they stripped it somehow. No word to express how disappointed I am, even they did not inform me. If you do business with them you should be careful.

I should have forgone the Toyota dealership who charged me $48 to balance the tires on my 2014 Prius & failed to recognize two bent rims (the source of the shimmy I was experiencing all along)! Jerrod & Lamar in the office were over the top helpful & beyond fair to me. Thomas in the shop was also very friendly. I can t thank you all enough! I will certainly be back!

They were fast and effective. Nice men and they seem to enjoy what they do. Friendly with everyone and they had a staff member who speaks Spanish, a bonus for one customer I observed. Quick and helped me out in a pinch with a couple of screws in my tire they took care of.

Wish I could give zero stars. Brought them my Audi for new tires and an oil change. The next day as I m driving the splash guard comes part the way off and destroys it. Took it back to them and they wouldn t do anything about it. Wish I would have never gone there.

I've gotten tires from Larry's the past 4 or 5 times I've needed a pair and have never had a problem until the most recent visit when I had found a lugnut that had been put back on my axle off thread with a power tool and had completely stripped the thread. I returned and explained the state that I had found the lugnut/thread in after having received work on that specific tire and after taking a quick look at the vehicle a replacement lugnut and thread were ordered, picked up, brought back, and then installed in 2 hours without any notice whatsoever there on the spot. The guys at Larry's had my back and turned a potential nightmare into a minor inconvenience. That's exactly what I look for in a company as a customer and will continue to send all the business I can their way.

I sent my friend Beckie here to get her front brakes needed new roters and pads. It is very scaryto try and find an honest mechanic today, but Larry, I wanted to thank you for taking care of my friend Beckie sMercury Marquis and doing a professional job with a very fair price.I believe if you treat people fairly and do good job, you never need to advertise, happy customers will do it for you. thanks, again, sincerely, Tammy H.

The culture and approach has shifted. I don't know if it's the new owners or not but after using Larry's for 17 years, we are done. I've called twice to price a new set of tires and been treated with disrespect and sarcasm. The gentleman on the phone thought he knew better what we wanted and was condescending. I tried the second time, thinking maybe I caught him on an off day. Prices seem higher also.
