Sent my truck there THREE TIMES and it still leaks oil. They couldn't figure out what's wrong. Don't recommend their service department at all.

Keith Murrow is one of the honest car salesmen. We have bought 2 cars from him and have sent several others to him. He took most of the day the 1st time to find me what would work and the 2nd time he fought to get me the best deal and and most rebates he could. They come get my cars for services and bring back to me. Love Tarr and we will be loyal to them as we have gotten great cars and service from them!

I have been using Tarr for my service needs for the past several years. They have excellent customer service and satisfaction. My car is always ready when promised and is clean when I pick it back up. Tara also has courtesy transportation to and from my home and/or work which allows me to easily get my vehicle serviced without having to sit at a dealership all day long. We will certainly visit Tarr when making our next vehicle purchase in the near future. Highly recommend Tarr.

My family has used Tarr Chevrolet with great success for the purchase of vehicles, trade-ins, as well as both car service and body work. With the most recent car purchase, they worked very hard to get me the exact car I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. Moreover, they gave me generous amount for the trade-in of the vehicle I was driving st the time. Our service and body work have always been completed in a timely fashion, and their work is quality work. We are satisfied with all of our dealings with Tarr and look forward to our next experience with them!

I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Tarr Chevrolet. Recently, I purchased a preowned vehicle from them. The team went above and beyond to ensure I was completely satisfied with my purchase - even post sale. Experiences like this are few and far between these days - Tarr Chevrolet clearly understands excellent customer service, and how to go the extra mile to gain customers for life. Bought my 2014 Silverado here. Have always received good service. Maintenance and repairs accomplished efficiently and correctly. Shop area is maintained in a clean and orderly condition. Dealer currently (July 2021) has very few new cars available, which is the status of most new car dealers at this time. This dealer also specializes in Corvettes and other performance vehicles.

By far one of the best dealer I have dealt with. Keith Marrow is the best sales person I could recommend to anyone. He is kind, listens, is not pushy at all, and didn't try to force you into looking at cars that aren't what you are looking for. He doesn't try to force you to agree to payments out of your budget either. He is genuine with you. I'm currently shopping for a new used vehicle and after dealing with a couple lots it makes me appreciate them even more. I am hoping they get what I need in so I can do business with them again!

purchased a new truck from Tarr. They had a great selection to choose from which made it easy for me to find the truck I've been looking for. My experience there was great from start to finish and after all was said and done, I left Tarr Chevrolet a happy new truck owner. I would highly recommend this place if your for a new or used vehicle. I will definitely be back in the future!

I have used Tarr Chevrolet for various reasons. I have purchased a used car, utilized their service department and also used their body shop. In all cases the experience has been positive. Examples include i) my car purchase price was the most competitive compared to other local dealers ii) when I take my cars (i have three) for service they always call to obtain authorization to perform repairs so there are no surprises iii) when i used the body shop their prices were comparable with other shops, they worked directly with the insurance company to remove any headaches and the work performed was of a high quality. The staff are also very friendly and I will continue to use Tarr for my car buying/servicing needs.

Fantastic dealership to purchase a vehicle! All the employees very very nice and accommodating. We dealt mainly with Travis Frazier and David Davis and they were fantastic! Hands down one of if not the best buying experience in my 30 years of purchases. Drove over 5 hours to purchase and would not hesitate to do it again the for the next vehicle. You can buy a vehicle any where, you cannot purchase customer service and sincerity.

$140 an hour is what you have to pay. And the employees who do the work? They get scraps. Terrible system. But no bad experiences there as a customer.

This is one of those hometown "good ole boy" dealerships where you feel welcomed by all and never feel pressured like most dealerships. The staff truley cares about their customers and go above and beyond to insure that the customer is 100% satisfied with their purchase! They had great inventory to choose from, and offered really competitive pricing. There were no jumping through hoops to get the financing worked out. They offered me several options to get a budgetable payment without having to put a bunch of money down. I left feeling better than I ever have buying a vehicle. Thank you Tarr Chevrolet for making my purchase a special and pleasant experience! I look forward to doing business with you again!

I have always heard that Tarr Chevrolet was the place to go, today I found out for myself. I have been trying to either buy another vehicle or trade mine. I had spoke with financing where my vehicle is financed. I was told there was no reason that I had a problem getting financing. Went on their website picked a car to send a message. Got a call shortly after told me to come right over that a salesman would help me but he would be working on numbers. The friendliness changed when I walked in and introduced myself, he looked at me like my face was on backwards. Needless to say the yahoo didn t work on numbers and became very rude. Needless to say word of mouth goes a long way and I have a big mouth. Believe his name was Robbie something or the other. No way to treat a lady so please lose my number

I absolutely do not like Tarr Chevrolet in Jefferson City. They are very rude and the Service department is awful. I had my Suburban towed there Friday because the check engine light on and it had no oil in it. It has warranty on it still to fix the problem. They told me there was oil in the spark plugs and it needed a new motor. I call them to see what is going to be done they say warranty want cover it and it would cost 7,000 to 8,000 dollars to fix it. But warranty wouldn t give me a rental car or anything. So Friday I went to get some of my stuff out of my suburban the service manager tells us that warranty want fix it he said you can drive it to the dealer it came from I told him it had no oil in it. But they looked at it and still had no idea it had no oil it. So this morning I had to drive back down there for them to tell me I owe 128 for them checking it out before it could be towed to Rusty Wallace in Morristown. I paid the 128 and they was very rude they cheat people. I got my keys and they put my suburban on the tow truck and I left. Tarr Chevrolet is awful! They lost my business for good. By the way you can have this removed or reported I ll post it again.

I will not do business again with Tarr Chevrolet. If there was a zero rating i would have gave it a no star rating. I would highly recommend if you do business with Tarr get it in writing, so its black and white. I took my car in for service and was quoted a price and went to pick up my vehicle and the price was over the quoted amount given by several hundred dollars more. The fact is,I'm not upset at the cost of the repair work. I am upset over the fact of being quoted one price and charged another. This is not the way to retain customers and also the fact of being in the market for a new vehicle and a loyal Chevy customer, I would have considered trading in my older vehicle on a new one. I also like to shop local to help my community businesses but will not be doing business with Tarr Chevrolet again.

Michael Cogliano was my salesperson and he was very understanding and helpful and was overall an amazing salesman if you go in make sure you ask for him he'll definitely take care of you get you the best deal that he can. Great experience will definitely be coming back for my next purchase!!

I got fast and friendly service but I do not feel that I got a good price. Here's why... My windshield wipers quit working in the middle of a thunderstorm. The part replaced was my windshield wiper transmission; the part id is 84241847. They charged me $131.78 for the part. Do yourself a favor and google this part id. You can easily find it for almost half that price. I suspect that this place loads the cost of their parts. If they are going to do that sort of thing, fine but at least reduce the cost of your labor. I paid $199.36 to have this part replaced. It only took them about an hour to do. I walked nextdoor and had lunch at the nearby mexican restaurant and my car was finished before I returned. Customers should be weary of the high prices on parts and labor at this establishment

Took my vehicle in for a coolant problem and they told me the coolant issues caused damage to my engine's timing chains and my vehicle was undrivable (although I drove it in that day). They included unnecessary repairs on my estimate, later telling me those repairs were just suggested maintenance due to my vehicle's mileage (this was not what I was told initially). I took my vehicle to another Chevy dealer and had the coolant problems repaired for $1,000 LESS than their estimate. I went back to discuss matters with the service manager and only got excuses. While they did diagnose the coolant issues properly, I feel deceived by what I was told my vehicle needed vs. what was just "suggested' maintenance.

Our truck was taken to this dealership for a warranty fix, from a dealership locally that we have done business with for many years and trust greatly, we got our truck returned from TARR and we had multiple items stolen out of our truck, we have been told that they will not take responbility nor will they replace our items, so very sad way to represent their self. I would recommend to anyone NOT to use this place after our experience.

I give Tarr Chevrolet five stars because any problem we ve had they come through for us and fixed it!An incident we had last week was our backup camera was flashing on and off and turning different colors etc., We had bought this 2018 Chevy Colorado and hadn t had any problems until then. We took it to Morristown Chevrolet where we bought it and expected it would be fixed but to our shock their service manager asked me what we wanted done and we told him we wanted it fixed as it was still under warranty and he told us that (his words)... yes, it s unfortunate but several vehicles have been recalled and there is no fix to it and handed me a bunch of papers and said we can t fix it!We were beyond shocked/mad!3 days after that happened we called Tarr Chevrolet inJefferson City, Tn., they said bring it in and we ll look at it.15 minutes later they came and told us they knew why it was doing what the camera was doing with the flashing lights and color change. They would have to order the part and would fix it along with another problem they found the circuit breaker was bad!This is the difference between these two dealerships... one NOT willing to try and find the problem and one trying and finding out what was wrong!We will never set foot in Morristown Chevrolet again as that service manager didn t even try to come up with a solution and the only reason we didn t buy this vehicle from Tarr is because they didn t have one in stock at that time but from now on Tarr is the only one we ll do business with again!

I want thank Charles B. and the entire service staff for taking care of my Lexus repair while I was away in New Mexico. They went above and beyond to make the time to take care of our families needs. I own imports and they were gracious and accommodating at every turn. My next vehicle might not be a Chevy but it will come from Tarr Chevrolet!Thank you,Heath Weeks

I had great service from the sales staff, finance lady, and the owner when I bought my car from Tarr! Tarr also takes care of Hamblen County teachers. As a service to school employees, they pick my car up from school and take it for oil changes. I will always go back to Tarr!!

The service department is always so friendly and helpful. Their prices may be a little higher, but you get what you pay for. I'd rather pay a little more and know it's getting done right. Unless something terrible happens, I will always take my car there to be serviced!

Called for weeks on a vehicle went to test drive it, was waiting to get enough for a downpayment and was asked if i could put a deposit on it, i told them yes i could but they refused to tell me how long i could hold it by doing that... so my mom came to look at some of the things i couldnt look at since i had been awake for 35 hours after workig and lugging two kids around since they were so eager to get me there and waste my time. My mom asked them if they could fix a cluster on it since some of it caused a safety risk, they told her yes they would have it in the shop monday so i called the salesman tuesday morning at open giving them some time....my call was ignored twice so i called the dealership where i was told they sold it on monday instead of fixing it. Not only did they waste my time while waiting for my husband to get a day off to sign the papers they made comments about my children including my 5 month old saying to the other man look at the head on this baby i felt extremely embarrassed and offended by this. I then drove all the way to Georgia to get the same vehicle but 10x better with better service i will NEVER go to Tarr ever again its a waste of time just to be led on and get rude customer service!!!

Very bad experience with the service department. I made the mistake of taking my vehicle there for service. My car had more problems after they supposedly fixed it. Rude service manager. My next complaint goes to GMC consumer complaints dept in Detroit. Tarr "did people right" when Lonas and Bill owned the dealership.
