I was on a hunting trip and my 2018 F-150 decided to have a cranks, no start issue. I was ~75 miles from home, with a camper, and the closest Ford dealership/service department was an hour away. I found Free Bird Automotive Caleb, around 9PM via a Google search that reflected nothing but 5-star ratings. Called him a little after 8AM the next morning and he was able to work me in later that afternoon. He drove an hour and a half to get to me, had the problem figured out in less than 10 minutes, and was researching parts immediately. He gave me the quote for work and headed out for a 45-minute drive (one way) to get my fuel pump/sending unit and a new battery. I asked him to call me when he got back to the campground so I could help him lower my more than half-full, 36-gallon fuel tank but he didn t. I was amazed to see that he had my tank out and was about to remove the part when he called me to bring my key down to him. He got the tank stabbed back in and the truck fired right up. He finished installing it, installed my battery, and made sure everything was good to go and was headed home by 11:30PM (45 minutes away).It was an outstanding experience and I ll always reach out to him if I ever have any trouble with my truck again - even if it s just for advice. On top of being a great guy - his prices are more than reasonable, his Ford truck knowledge was like none other I ve met, and his work was extremely professional and top-notch! He saved me a $700 tow bill for my truck and God only knows what for my camper. That s before anyone would ve started fixing the truck and charging me for labor/parts. Was such a relief when the truck started up!Thanks for saving this stranded turkey hunter!! If you re needing a mobile mechanic in the middle-TN area, call him!

Caleb is an amazing and honest mobile mechanic! This was my first experience with him and it was perfect!! He replaced the part we agreed on and diagnosed another problem I showed him and he will be back in a few days to fix that!!! Highly recommended and will call him first for future automotive needs!!!

I can not thank Caleb enough for what he did for me today. I had hauled my horse from Danville, AL to Thompson Station, TN for a vet visit. Upon arriving my front brakes were smoking ( I had just had them replaced 4 days prior). It was a little after 4pm when I got to the vet, little after 430 when I met with the vet and was talking not only about my horse, but also my truck issue. I called 2 other places, nobody had a mobile mechanic. The vet, Dr. Mark Wooten, said hold on, I know who to call. He called Caleb and then gave the phone to me. We gave him the address and he said he'd be there in 30 mins (keep in mind, at this time it was like 445). He showed up, looked my truck over. Determined it was the oil from the new rotors that hadn't got cleaned off properly and when they got hot, the oil started burning off. But suggested I unhook my horse trailer so he could drive my truck around and confirm what he was thinking. So we did, he drove it, came back, looked it over again, could not find anything wrong other than the oily residue still on the rotors. I finished up with the vet around 6, a few mins later Caleb finished up looking over my truck and talking with me about it. He helped me get the trailer hooked back before going on his way. I can not say enough good things about him. It was after hours and also 30 mins away and he still came out. There's not much worse than having the feeling of not only being stranded, but stranded with a loaded horse trailer and fearing your truck is going to catch fire. I do hope I never find myself in that situation again, but if I do, and am in the area, Caleb will definitely be the first on my list to call!

I can t say enough about free bird they blew me away with their fast prompt service I called at 4:30 they were at my door by 7:30 the SAMEDAY! They fixed my car and gave me a great price. So recap they came to me within hours fixed me up and didn t charge me an arm and leg! I will absolutely use them in the future and I d advise anyone else to do the same! You won t be let down! Super nice guys!!

I highly recommend Caleb and his services. I was very pleased with his work . I live at Harmony Ridge RV Park in Linden and was my first experience of a mobile mechanic and a great one ! He was very polite and respectful. Won feel at communicating. Very punctual and he is a hard worker. As you can tell I can't say enough good about him and his business. Plus the experience of not having to stop my car off at a shop and find a way to pick it back up was a great plus. Keep up the great work you do ! Mechanical failure on a highway in the middle of nowhere is a pretty vulnerable feeling and that all vanished after a few hours of feeling the professionalism, and the prompt delivery of quick diagnosis and part retrieval to put me back on the road within hours, super Fair priced and I can't say enough about mechanic and his patience waiting for hours, on his own time, for the tow truck too pull my vehicle off the highway to a safe place to replace an alternator.These are good people these are good people! I want people like this to succeed, I'm a business owner, and I know when they've gone "above and beyond" and when that's their regular M.O.SteveWaynesville N.C.

Amazing service. My truck bearings went out suddenly and I had to leave my vehicle miles from home.Caleb sourced the parts and quickly repaired my truck.It was raining and muddy.Professional and communication was excellent.

Excellent service, I would recommend him to anyone. He knew the 4.6 Northstar V8 engine very well, worked efficiently, professionally and less than half the price of anyone else around. 10/10Even when the parts store didn't have what we needed he found where I could get it same day, went to do another job and came back after dark to finish up. I am so grateful

Used this guy back in September. The previous owner of my truck crossthread a spark plug. I stripped it removing it. Had him use a thread restore on it. Towed my 37' camper from Tennessee to vallejo california and then to Charleston south carolina. Haven't had any issues.Highly recommend this guy.

I have waited too long to post this. Caleb is amazing. I started what ended up being a more than I could handle job removing broken bolts on the left side head of my Ram 1500. Caleb came to the house and got me taken care of with a I don't quit work ethic. I will never go to an auto shop again. And I think his price was below what I would consider fair. Your missing out if you don't use Caleb. And if he brings his helper then your getting a bonus. Thank you Caleb. More work coming your way.Mark and Cindy

Amazing service! I don't do reviews very often, but when the service is outstanding it deserves to be made known to everyone. Was afraid to drive because of the horrible sound my car was making. Caleb came to my house, diagnosed the problem in minutes and was able to fix it the same day! Feeling very blessed to find him!!!

I had given up hope of finding anyone reasonable and licensed to change the water pump on my Ford Edge. Then, a Google suggestion brought up Caleb. Let me tell you, it was/has been the most pleasurable experience to have found him. He was here in my driveway for 14 hours and never complained. He answered every question I had with a smile and even didn't mind explaining a thing or two to my boys. His prices were better than most shops, and he got me in his schedule pretty quick. He's professional, courteous, and honest. Hard to find those attributes these days. I've found my mechanic. I suggest you make him yours as well (services were water pump replacement, intake gaskets, head gaskets, valve cover gasket, timing parts replaced, new serpentine belt (which I didnt know about until he looked), brakes and rotors all the way around, and an oil change).

Caleb was amazing, he was extremely knowledgeable and was able to re-diagnose my vehicle s issue, which actually saved me a lot of money. Once he pinpointed the actual issue, he made a separate trip to grab the part I needed and fixed my car. The time it took from the start of the initial inspection until the end of the service was less than an hour and a half. You can t beat quick, quality, and trustworthy when it comes to a brand new mechanic. 10/10 would recommend.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection

I called caleb thinking that I was about to have to wait awhile for anyone to even look at my truck. That was not the case. He was able to see me within a few days. I was expecting him to just look at the truck and come back to start. That was not the case. He immediately got started and finished in just few hours. I recently had issues with my car, Caleb came to our home and in less than 2 days replaced the catalytic converter and helped out with the mass air flow sensor issues! Great Company, very efficient and definitely would recommend! Mechanic knows his stuff!
