I know in the Auto Service business it hard to please everyone but I just wanted to say that Gus that works in the Hixson Auto Service Center did a great job of rotating and balancing the 20" tires on my F250. The tires with aluminum wheels are on the heavy side plus I had just come off of the mountain the evening before, from where my cabin is located on a gravel road so they were pretty dirty to boot due to the day long rain that weekend and Gus completed the whole process in record time and did a great job. In fact I was so pleased that I brought my wife's SUV back the same day for her tires to be rotated and balanced also. I can attest not all Walmart Service Centers are staffed with people like Gus that go out of their way to do a great job, I actually have to pass by the one in Soddy Daisy before I get the the Hixson location. At the SD Ctr. they had an employee that hammered lead weights on the outside of my aluminum mags (and the idiot had to remove the old "stick on" weights but never realized why they didn't already have any hammered on the wheels) and thus scratched the rims up and shortly thereafter they made him the Bay Manager so no not all Walmart Service Centers are created equal but I'm glad I found the Hixson location to be a credible place to take my vehicles...

Had my truck towed to Walmart Hixson TN Auto center. I had a blowout and was purchasing 4 new tires. The tire technician seen us pull up in the wrecker, clocked out and went on home. I was told to come back the next day. Upon arrival the tire technician was there and refused to change my tires on the basis I had a push button start installed in my truck, having arthritis and stage 4 cancer this button made my life easier. I seen the automotive manager and I spoke with him. He said there shouldn't be a problem. The tire technician again refused, rudely. Hope they discipline him in some kind of way.

The shop is undergoing a refresh and new management has been brought in so come on down we all would be more than happy to work on your vehicle and will treat you all with respect

Phillip, Gus, and the whole team was SO incredibly helpful. I came in for a better swap, but it turned out my terminal was messed up. Not only did they tell and show me exactly what I needed, but they walked me through how and why it happened. No charge for diagnostics! They also stayed late to help me. What?!I got my part and brought it in, and they were able to do a full change. I feel very lucky and comfortable with these guys, most places I would have taken it to most likely would have left out that crucial piece of info, or would have charged me a ton more.Service: Battery

I came into the store to replace my battery last Saturday because I didn't have my battery with me I had to pay full price even though I had a warranty. I had a picture of the old battery so they could scan it I was told I would have to bring the battery in. The next day I brought in the battery. After getting the run around about a refund in which I had to wait over a hour to get I was in need of a tire. My nephew inspected my tires and found that only one of my tires the front tire on the drivers side was in bad condition and needed to be replaced. I decided while I was there to get a tire. It took almost a hour and a half to replace my tire there wasn't anyone in line waiting after replacing my tire I pay for it and noticed that on my paperwork that it stated that I declined to get my tires rotated and balanced wich was a lie I was never asked. I proceed to my car and one of the workers told me that I needed another tire on the back driver side I'm thinking what is he talking about we inspected my tires before I came. I looked at my tire and it looked like the tire they removed from the front I was shocked I didn't think to ask them for the other tire that was taken off. One of the workers were staring me down with hate in his eyes for a few minutes while I was waiting. Unfortunately when I went I was there alone. Never again and never will I use there services again I'm very disappointed my family and I shop at Walmart religiously.

I should learn my lesson.. Came back again for a simple oil change. Only 1 car ahead of me. Car in front of me has just sat.. No one working on it. 3 techs in the bays just shooting the breeze. Lady at register.. "They're on break.". It's 9 am, they open at 7. Must be nice.Go somewhere else.Car in front of me, once they started... Took 1 hour and 40 minutes for the guy to do a basic oil change.. Should be embarrassed.

They told me that it would take an hour, but it took 3 hours to patch a tire. I don't know what cars they were working on, but they totally ignored the cars of people in the waiting area. One man waited 3 hours and then left without getting his oil changed. I got the impression that people would call in orders for tires and workers would move tires to a special holding area. That would make sense unless they are short-staffed and aren't doing anything for people in the waiting area. I dropped off my car at 7:15 am and walked to Chick-Fil-A.Service: Tires

I read on a forum that Walmart auto center cuts auto keys for you so I decided to go ahead and buy my replacement key online for my spare key that was lost and head to Walmart for them to cut it (since that would be extremely cheaper than me going to my car dealer). As soon as we walked back to the auto shop no one was there so we patiently waited until someone came inside (which he was about to walk pass us) and took a deep breathe as if he did not want to help then proceeds to say, I have three other customers waiting and if I help y all one is gonna say I was there before them . Mind you the other customers were there for car repairs outside while we were indoors for a simple key cutting. I get not wanting to upset others but my goodness. Then the guy proceeded to come up with excuses as to why he didn t want to cut the key which did not make since. I did not need they key programmed, just cut to the size of my original key that I have in case I lose my keys again. I ended up giving up and just calling my dealership and asked them to cut the key for me and they stated Walmart just did not want to cut the key for me. Do NOT give your services to this location.

First let me say all the guys in the auto center are nice and helpful. My only complaint about my oil change is that they are slower than molasas in the artic circle. Used to have a faster more csring crew in the past. Guess hard to find good help at that pay scale.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

I see quite a few complaints about slow service...the key is to come early...the earlier the better. I always come first thing Sat. mornings and never really had to wait that long for tire rotation and balance. In this last time, they did a great job...I don't ever remember my truck riding so smooth.

Worst Walmart TLE ever. Came in early on a Sunday. No cars in the work area, but 2 workers were mounting tires on rim's. After waiting 10 minutes I decided to call the office to get them help because nobody even acknowledge I was waiting. Nobody answered their customer service line. They finally came out to help me after another 5 minutes. Left my car to have tires balanced. Still nobody else there. Browsed and did my shopping. Came out and there were cars in bays, but my car was where I left it. They hadn't started it. Terrible customer service. Management is clueless how to run the TLE .

I ordered a battery and went to pick it up. Not sure where to go, I drove around to Auto care center. There were 3 gentlemen on duty. One very nice man was waiting on someone so I step to the open bay (not inside) to ask was I at the right location.One gentlemen didn't acknowledge me as I first said "excuse me".Finally the other gentlemen said (pointing at the gentlemen who was assisting the other pstron) he will be with you.I went to get back into my car. Finally he came over, very polite and friendly and Explained the process and directed me where to go.While speaking to him, another patron came up and did the exact thing I previously did to the same two other guys. One of them immediately came out the bay and assisted him.Maybe they didn't want to deal with a women lol. I'm going with that because I really don't want to believe it was for any other reason IJS!

I ordered tires online and scheduled to have them installed when I went there to have them installed the Wallmart employee did not want to install them I rescheduled for the next day and they had lost my tiers. When I went to pick up my car the Wallmart employee had taken my car behind the shopping center and was gone for a couple of minutes. I looked behind the shopping center and on the other end and it was covered in skid marks. I can only hope the Wallmart employee didn' t damage my engine or transmission.Service: Tires

Look, I'm going to be honest. Sundays are not the day to go to this TLE unless you come early or not in a hurry. They, at this time, have no Service Writers or Cashiers so the Tech's have to do it all. Which leads to very slow service. It's been that way for awhile. With that said, the Techs are mostly friendly and will help you out anyway they can. They are limited to what they can and cannot do, but generally will go out of their way to do so. Wait times can be a slog and that's simply because Walmart has very strict policies on how things are done. (As well as being short handed.) This is the ONLY TLE I will have my car worked on. Great group of employee's!

Never buy their batteries! And never go to get service there!! Was having trouble with my battery that I bought from there went there said it tested fine made me believe it was my alternator but when I went to AutoZone they tested the battery the battery was bad and the alternator was fine. I went to Walmart twice to have them test the battery to see if it was good because I had a warranty on it. But every time they said the battery was fine. Seems to me like they wanted to void the warranty to replace the battery which only had days to go before expiration.

Customer service was okay. I went here because they had the cheapest tire in my size (17). Be warned though. Don't come here if you're in a hurry. It took them about 2.5 hours to replace one tire and there were only 3 people ahead of me.

Despite the occasional long wait time, I've always received polite and kind service from the Hixson auto care center. I've found inexpensive great tires and always do regular oil changes here. Thanks guys!
