I ve been using Joel s Automotive for more than 15 years. I have never had a bad experience with them. There have been time when I was told what was wrong and how to fix it myself if I wanted just to save ME money. They won t overcharge you and look out for what s in your best interest. I will continue to use them as long as they are open.

Joel's Automotive is a great, trustworthy business. The man at the front desk was very nice, and offered me a plethora of appointments to bring my car in that would fit my schedule. I was able to get my car fixed for a great price. The man who worked on it, did a great job. I haven't had any problems at all!10/10 would recommend!!

I am so happy that I was told about Joel s Automotive! I just moved here to Hendersonville. I love my car but she s 21 years old and I have little things that are wearing out. Every time I bring her into Joel s he fixes my 2002 Jeep Overland quickly and for a reasonable price. As a 75 year old widow I am so grateful for his expertise and his knowledge. I bought my Jeep brand new in 2002 and Joel s Auto keeps me happy and cruising smoothly still in 2023!There is no better feeling than getting back into my beloved Jeep and driving home.

My wife's vehicle broke down on a recent visit to Hendersonville. Joel's was recommended by a local citizen as a trusted auto shop. They worked her vehicle in over a holiday weekend and we could not be more pleased. Rick and his team made us feel like they knew us for a long time. They did not actually work on my car. I went in for a rumble. They quickly diagnosed my tire were cupping and ready to be replaced. They were ready to recommend a place to get tires. I will go back, looks like best to call ahead.

Took in Subaru for valve cover replacement. During repair, a bolt broke and took several weeks to get removed so repair could be completed. Rick and his team did not charge me for the extra labor and honored original quote without me having to ask. Had our truck into him following month for same service and was completed in quick fashion at fair rate. Great shop, highly recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

They got the work done quickly & didn't kill me in price. No complaints when I added on an additional request either. I was frustrated not having air as soon as it got hot out, but he made it a very pleasant transaction.

Needed brake service and got a recommendation to Joel's. Called and made an appointment. Arrived to a packed driveway. They got to me quickly despite being extremely busy. I highly recommend this place but make an appointment.

This is hands down the best repair shop in Middle TN and I venture to say the southeast. My whole family have been taking our cars exclusively to Joel's for years and they have never let us down. They do great work for a great price. This is the way a business should be run. Thanks for all your help over the years, customer service like this is very rare these days. I had my truck towed to Joel's after a breakdown. Being newer in town I hadn't found a true go-to mechanic - but I have now. Originally was told it would take 2-3 days to get to my truck, but they had it fixed in 2-3 hours. Amazing rates, great service and just wonderful people to deal with. You all have a customer for life.

You know the customer service you get from the Genius Bar at the Apple store? That's what you get at Joel's. The first two times I took my car there, they didn't charge me a dime because the first repair was so minor and the second one turned out to not be an issue. I just got back from my third time with a more major problem. The problem was fixed at an honest rate and within a few hours. I trust them completely and won't take my car anywhere else. Good, honest people. Will continue to take my car here even if I move out of Sumner County someday.Service: General repairs & maintenance

When I moved to town I went through 6-7 mechanics and each one made me feel like I had to watch out with what they are doing. Then I found Joel's. Rich is a top notch guy. These guys are great! I called around to several (at least six) different auto shops for estimates regarding a check-engine light. Joel's Automotive was the ONLY one who didn't charge to diagnose the problem whereas everyone else charged between $95-125 just to tell me what I already knew. Rick was great with trying to help me solve the problem and gave me estimates to fix it that seemed reasonable. I felt like the gentlemen who worked with me were good, honest guys and didn't take advantage of me being a female, like other places do. I am glad I found Joel's Automotive and will absolutely go there for any future auto problems! I highly recommend them!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I have been coming to Joel's Automotive to have my car fixed for at least 20 years. It is a family-run company, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the people stay long enough for you to get to know them, and they you. They take time to talk to you and explain things, they set appointments that are good for you, and they can even take you home and bring you back if you have to leave your car and have no ride. I highly, highly recommend this reasonably priced, honest, auto repair place.

This is a great place to take your car. They took the time to fix what needed to be done to pass emissions testing. They were very helpful, patient, and worked with us. Would recommend them if you need an honest shop,and people, to do good quality work on your vehicles. Thanks so much Joel's Automotive!!! You have some customers for life.

Excellent service. Honest owners and staff. Last visited 2004. Still high quality establishment in 2019. They fixed my Ford when local dealer couldn't figure our the problem after I went to the dealer twice. They also get you in much faster and turn you around quicker than the dealerships. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend & I have both taken our vehicles to Joel's since moving to Hendersonville. They've been great every time. I can honestly say it's the best shop I've ever been to. They're honest about what you need/don't need, are all very nice, and will go out of their way to help you. Came to Joel s for a PPI and we re seen immediately upon arriving by Rick, who is a honest, generous, hard-working guy. It very rare for me to leave a review anywhere but I have to get the word out about Joel s Automotive! It really is difficult to find an auto shop that doesn t try and charge for every little thing they can. I am very weary of auto shops, especially because I m a woman and most places will try and take advantage of that and the fact that I m clearly not a mechanic and don t know a lot about cars. This place has never overcharged me, they are fair and will break the pricing down for you. I had a problem recently where I didn t have to money to fix what I needed (not because of labor but the parts were expensive) but they were able to get a quick fix for me until I m able to get it taken care. They didn t charge me and not only that they were happy to help! This place has integrity with their business which is hard to come by these days! I wish I had found this place sooner!

Best mechanic team anywhere! They are in Hendersonville, TN, but I would drive however long it took me to take my vehicles to him! Love Joel & his Team! They are honest, reasonable and dependable... We KNOW we can trust them completely!!! Been a customer for 2 + decades... Never been disappointed with the quality of their work!

These guys saved me from an unnecessary repair that another shop said I needed.I randomly had the serpentine belt on my car completely shred one day. The only shop open on Sunday was a major chain that will remain nameless. After their inspection (that I was not present for) they said my AC compressor going out is what caused the belt to shred, and a new one would cost $1900. My father-in-law recommended getting a second opinion from Joel's, as he has used them exclusively for years.I called them and explained my problem. They quoted me $1400 to replace the compressor. Naturally, I took it to them. The tech called me after a few hours to say that there were zero problems with the compressor. The actual issue was just that belt tensioner needed to be replaced, which would only be $360. That sounded great to me.The car has run fine ever since. I'll admit, I waited a few months to make this review just to see if any other problems came up, but absolutely none have. They could have replaced the compressor unnecessarily and I would have thought that I got a great deal, but instead they just did the work that was actually needed.Finding a mechanic that won't screw you over is a great thing.Service: Engine repair

Joel's Automotive has been my go to for vehicle repairs since we moved to Hendersonville almost 10 years ago. I drive from Springfield now because no one comes close to these folks. Their labor prices can't be beat!! Quality of work is second to none! They've troubleshot my truck for free more than once and have done minor maintenance work for free as well (fixed minor leaks, etc) on multiple occasions when other repair shops would charge a minimum fee. They are honest as the day is long, which is rare nowadays.
